I really think your filming over the years should be a weekly produced Hastings romp of some sort. Your towns people can pull together ideas to enrich this show. It has a lot of potential. You all have a few wonderful festivals every year and seem like a town that genuinely cares about everyone else. My Father and his ancestors all hailed from over there in the U.K. and sincerely Glenn you have noble blood running through your veins. Dad traced our family roots back to before King Richard III. This show should include the history of Hastings, every week's show should cover 5 minutes of your city history. put in 3 minutes worth of old recorded snippets through the show. film a cut of you and mick talking to Jack, yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah, that is so funny. artsy fartsy, i laughed my ass off, benny hill and monty python got me laughing this hard at anything English. if my Noble Father were alive today he'd be a watcher and supporter. film driving to the club to promote the act that's playing that day. Get your friends and family all ivolved in production, carrying camera's dolly grips, drivers, caterers, lighting, script supervisors, there is so much that goes into producing a great show and you honestly have a premise here for a great one with this awesome history. In the acting game to wish someone success you say break a leg as a way to wish someone furthered prosperity. The crutches bit was a farce and that made it funny to me. I'd get a passport and move to over there and help you make this TV show, write, write write. Mick, write, Jack, write, you all have a show here that can and Will do what you want, to promote your current events and continue to view your history. and if Stephainie Germanotta doesn't shed a tear over your 50 year celebration I don't know about humanity.
Thanks for those lovely words William. I make the films because the worlds got too serious. I can't change the world but I can change my community. For 40 years I have filmed Hastings and made videos of the people that live here. I've never made a penny financially, but have recently been invited to The Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace with The queen. Reward enough! x
Not knowing what will happen is why to me this is interesting and Colin Firth as Glenn, Emma Thompson as Kath, Ricky Gervais as Mick, Julian Glover as Jack and I would bring in Helena Bonham Carter and Stellan Skarsgard to be other main players of various roles. maybe let Liam Neeson play a role in here.
