As a prison employee, people need to understand that the rape scene is REALITY in some prison sentences. Your family member or loved one will never admit to it and they have to live with that demon for the rest of their lives. This is why I always made sure I did my rounds when I worked the units but unfortunately, as with any profession, everyone does not have the same working ethics. 😔

I have seen "Lockdown" two days ago. That film was very intense. The rape scene, was emotionally messed up. The most powerful scene for me, was the cafeteria scene. When his character had so much pain in his eyes. You could see, how his spirit was really broken. He could not, even nod to his homies because he belonged to his cellmate. I swear, I would NEVER want to be in anyone's jail or prison. DeAundre Bonds is a very gifted actor.

I’m 22 and my mom showed me dis when I was 7 or 8. Dis movie alone definitely scarred me and it helped shaped me in to the respectful and humble person I am in terms of being aware of where u are at times

That scene was powerful in wakening the culture. As a C.O. it definitely motivated me to pay attention to our residents, have more discretion about where I assign them on the units and be sensitive to who may need help. In the male community in prison and in society men are looked down on or called weak for needing help, support or even a voice to report rape. This scene challenged me to make it easier for them.

It may not have been enforcable. Anything can be a contract. You can dispute any contract aswell. As long as your case is compelling enough to sway a judge you can win

That scene was powerful in wakening the culture. As a C.O. it definitely motivated me to pay attention to our residents, have more discretion about where I assign them on the units and be sensitive to who may need help. In the male community in prison and in society men are looked down on or called weak for needing help, support or even a voice to report rape. This scene challenged me to make it easier for them.

Also Anthony Mackie received many good roles after playing a gay guy. I think the problem many black artists have had with work is the lack of acting parts for black actors.
