For me, Connor is the most miserable assassin. He couldn't feel any accomplishment despite all the things he did. He thought he could protect his village. He had to kill his father he loved before he could understand what he was fighting for. At a very young age, he got a permanent wound. He was just a messenger for Desmond but he was never able to comprehend it.

Personally, Connor is my favorite assassin. Maybe not the wisest, or strongest, but he represents me closest. He struggled in vain, lost so much to gain so little. And yet, he did not waver. Faced with the truth, he decided to fight on. Because it felt right. Because Connor realized that to live is to suffer, to lose. In spite of our losses, we cannot let ourselves give in. We must fight on, even if we do not know why.

I'm glad that they managed to circle back to Ezio's feelings at the time he destroyed the entire city of Cappadocia. Inspire of the fact that his actions led to the deaths of at least hundreds maybe thousands of innocent people he didn't really react at all in the game.
The fact that they address that it really has an impact on him and his decision to retire is great, although I suppose I probably should have inferred as much without it having to be said. Another reason why Desmond saying it is so well done.

Also Connor's epilogue is the biggest missed opportunity of the AC series, it's makes the AC 3 story actually feel like a deserving ending. They did it for Ezio because they were on the beginning but character like bayek,Conor, Edward and more , their story can be stretched more likely bayek would fit for a sequel
Or they can made some spinoff of character like in ac revelation that guy who sacrifice himself
Or subject 17 or 15 story how he meet the abstego and lastly a crossover between prince and assassin
Seriously for this the original ac game was a prince of Persia game but they made it a standard alone
