Aw, man! I first started watching you with the ERB reactions, and now you're doing Pentatonix?? Oh hell yes. So, uh...yeah...here's some requests: Sound of Silence, Sing, Hallelujah, Evolution of Michael Jackson, Bohemian Rhapsody, Can't Hold Us, Cheerleader, Happy Now. They also have a lot of Christmas songs they've covered that you can ring in the holidays with, though my favorite is their Live version of Silent Night. Holy hell, it's beautiful, and the acoustics in the church that they're singing in are perfect for acapella.
I may be wrong, but I think Pentatonix are the ones who really brought acapella back into the mainstream. I mean, some might say Pitch Perfect, but Pentatonix came out first by a year. They won the third season of a competition reality show called The Sing Off in 2011, which was a competition for acapella groups and Pentatonix blew everyone away. Sadly, the recording contract they won was dropped almost immediately by Sony because they were too shortsighted and didn't see acapella as a viable style of music to sell albums with. PTX didn't let that stop them, and now they're three time Grammy winners, sell out world tours, and are *still* making music almost a decade later.

You are correct. This is a cover & to my knowledge, all their stuff are covers. Hallelujah, Sound of Silence, Bohemian Rhapsody, several medleys about specific singers, like Michael Jackson, Rihana, Beyonce & others. This is good, but not their best, by any means. This group is astonishing.
This is sort of a cover of a cover, interestingly. The version that most covers are based on is from Gary Jules. But the original is actually a Tears For Fears song. Personally, I LOVE the original the most. I wish someone would try to do a cover based on the original.
