Hakuro wasn't lying... razen was tortured by shion for days by removing his bones with master chef, which she used to overwrite their regeneration skills...
Fun fact:
Because of her skill master chef, shion became the only member of tempest, that was blocked from evolving further because she'd then have the ability to kill rimaru

Hakurou is the secret boss of Tensura. Three of his students are kings(Gazel, Rimuru, Youm).

Hey, he's also the one who teaches benimaru.
Hakuro lost to Kyoya because of Rimuru's rule of not hurting humans so he just tried to stop him, which resulted in his loss. It's stated in the LN in their second fight that Hakuro could have easily beaten him in town if he wasn't holding back even if he was weakened.

And apparently, Hakurou even before he was named was special being able to exceed the usual lifespan of an Ogre
Hakurou, even without becoming an awakened demon lord, is on par with them in terms of skill. Only magical energy is inferior since he never needed a huge amount of it. Their evolutions have been always perfect for each, especially with Ciel’s assistance. He is a swordsman in very sense of the word. He doesnt not meed to be hurling nukes like Shuna, Shion and Benimaru and other demons.
He might not have become an wakened demon lord nor have the destructive abilities of others, but he’s deadly in combat.
He trained all the close range fighters. He trained RIMURU and remained to ve his teacher even when Rimuru was reaching the heights of becoming a dragon.
Halurou was that strong, and tho he didnt become a Patron, he is still pne of the senior executives, one whose wisdome and words are heeded by most.
I think since every top executives awakened it affects everyone especially ifbits in their race shion and benimaru awaken definitely caused growth in the species power

Regardless of his awakened status he's still connected to Rimuru and Raphael/Ciel via soul corridor. Rimiru can use it to share skills and power-ups with everyone. All of Rimurus subordinates are overpowered regardless of status.
Rimuru actually stopped getting training after a while Rimuru wasn't training some time after Orc lord was killed by Hakurou he started developing techniques with great sage and Raphael
Hakurou has the most epic moment in the story. I was very satisfied his fight against otherworlder sword guy.
The reason there may be two different names could be that the swordsmanship art or martial art has grown to the point it is no longer the same art.

In vol 5 it said hakuro only lost because of the rule rimuru gave to not harm humans even with the holy barrier hakuro could’ve killed the raiders
Yeah, people overlook that advantage. He uses fighting skills and other various sword techniques that do not rely on magic. So barriers and opponents that render magic useless do not dull his deadly efficiency.

His sword skills don't get weakened. Remember, even when weakened by the barrier during the battle of Tempest he was able to fight off and survive the otherworlder who was using unique skills. His Kijin abilities get weakened but not his knowledge or battle prowess.

True. His speed and various other supernatural abilities were greatly dampened and yet he was able to fight and survive a battle with an otherworlder who are, on average, A rank or Hazard class. Being able to take out entire towns single handed. There's a reason Hakurou is responsible for training the soldiers of Tempest in combat. He's a legendary warrior.

Worth mentioning Kondou wanted to instantly defeat Hakurou, the result of the 5 v 8 clash was called a “landslide victory” on the MTL, Hakurou’s sword shattered, Kondou took a step back and had a cut on his cheek.
I also think Hakurou’s hands were shaking and not in a good way.
Kondou then admitted that Hakurou was a superior swordsman, just lost due to massive EV difference and Ultimate Skill as you said.
Did you know? Hakurou and Jiraya shares the same voice actor? Their character similarities is also about training others so they become wayy more strong, like Jiraya trains Naruto who becomes the Hokage and a hero, Hakurou trains King Gazel who become The king of Dwargon and a hero too
Don't forget he's also Urokadaki in Demon Slayer so the VA literally voiced 3 mentors in 3 animes. Lol
There was error in the translation.. King Gazel supposed to be a Champion King, not a Hero King. Champion in Japanese was Eiyuu and Hero was Yuusha. In Tensuraverse, Millim explained to Rimuru when he wanted to make Youm as a Champion, that you shouldn't called someone 'Hero' that easily and carelessly, because it would started to set some course of fate. You're free to called everyone with some accomplishments as Champion and a Nation could have their Champions as many as they want, but a Hero was different entity chosen by their World, just like a True Demon Lord. They are symbols of hope for Humanity, just like the Demon Lord whose a symbols of fear for Humanity.
Hero was the antithesis of Demon Lord, that's why their evolution was somewhat similiar. The individual with some potential and blessing from Spirit of Light (as we already see with Kenya) will then receive a 'Hero's Egg', similiar to 'Demon Lord's Seed' and he/she then could be called a Hero. And after the Hero's Egg was hatched he/she will be a 'True Hero' just like a 'True Demon Lord'.

The True Hero in tensuraverse that we already knew were Chloe Aubert, Leon Cromwell, Grandbell, Emperor Rudra, and the last who hatched her Hero's Egg in LN volume 19, Hinata Sakaguchi.

P.s. to everyone not knowing, hakurou became an overprotective dad after learning about momiji, and when benimaru was hesitant to marry her, hakurou was like"are you my daughter is not good enough?" while in his God mode. Lol 😆

For the sword style name it's probably just a translation difference because the official English translations of LN 15 and 18 is not out yet and there are only fan translations only so the sword style name might change again

Hakuro is definitely one of the strongest among Rimuru’s subordinates!
Probably not even top 15
Rimuru has a lot of strong subordinates that Hakurou would make us see him as weak but still a beast in the battlefield when necessary.
That's how vast the firepower of Jura Tempest

@@AnimeRumpai No hakurou mother is the daughter of that human samurai she's the half ogre half human and since his grandfather got transported here in twnsura he is definitely just like the other worlders body got reconstructed making him stronger than before with abilities and magicuels

I love the name of his fighting style Bc Oboro-ryu can be loosely translated to Ouroboros ( Oboro ) - Ryu ( Dragon ) so it’s like the Ouroboros Dragon
"Ryu" can also mean "Style" or "Form" in kendo and iadou

Yes they should be calamity class which is where the eastern empire soldiers were at Rudra or michael wanted them to evolve to saint so he could give them Ultimate gifts
