Hey, nice vid! Is that a LX car engine crate motor? Can you share a BOM with the AC Compressor and Alternator part numbers and any bolts you needed to grab with those? Also the belt part # if you don't mind... Thanks! My Build will be featured on JKU 392 Adventures channel :)
Did you do the full exhaust from JSS or did you custom make one? I’m trying to decide what I’d want since I want somewhere between the low rumble you’d hear from a ram and the more rowdy exhaust from a charger/challenger
cost is the main factor. other factor includes 5.7 swap is more mature, less of overheating concern, does not need to shift the front grill forward for clearance, and no need to upgrade the rest of the driveline. Good luck on your swap!
Do you mind sharing what to total cost of this swap was? I have looked at doing this for a long time and seeing this video has sparked my interests again..
What alternator and belt kit did you use? I like what you did, it will make it easy if the alternator ever goes out. I am going with the same crate engine that you used.
Great Jeep!!! . I just blew a head gasket so instead if fixing just going to do the swap. I have the Nag 1 in my 17 Rubicon recon. 8speed that much better ?? Thanks.
I used the JSS kits that comes with a bolt on motor mount. Install is very easy. Total cost is under 20k. If you get used engines it would be even lower
Awesome work bud! Getting ready to do this myself, just waiting on the ECU and harness. How long did this swap take you? This will be my "vacation" this year and I'm trying to plan accordingly.
@@hadestech5005 thanks I appreciate it! Literally just the ECU and harness is holding me up. I have a group of people that are helping with the project so goal is to get done quick and get to camping.... hopefully
I did switched it to a sport case off from a manual Jeep, the auto case won't fit with the 8spd. The 1st gear of the 8spd is really low so it should be just fine in 4lo
Honestly this has been the best swap video for the Jk I’ve ever seen, I wish this guy was a close friend of mine 😂
Great job! Prepping for a 6.4L Hemi swap into my 2020 Willy’s now. Hope to be done sometime in Oct. 🙏✌️
Great video. Such a clean swap.

Wouldn’t you need to toque many of the fasteners to factory specs? And tightening sequence? Would on my build!
I wanna be like you when I grow up.
Great job ! Sounds and looks great !
So satisfying

Sick Swap
What’s your build list!? 🧐
I’m ready to start with my swap but I’m lacking info on what would I would need
Where can we see more of this Jeep
That's awesome!
Awsome video can you please give a cost breakdown. Thanks
Thanks for posting/sharing. Looking to do the Hemi swap on my JK. Why did you pick the 5.7 over the 6.4?

Was it for the 8 speed transmission?
Either he’s a certified genius, or this isn’t the first one that he has done that went way to smooth lol
Forgive my ignorance, but when you state “WK Style” is that the Grand Cherokee?

why did you remove the crank bearing ?
What brand are those steel engine storage stands?
What kind of engine do you have on it tryna put one in my jk rubicon 2014
Nice! Good build!
Thanks, your 392 JK is sick!
@@hadestech5005 I appreciate that! Just pulled out the old nag1 getting ready for an 8 speed install!

@@trcannon1650 To me the 8spd was a big step up compared to the nag1. It has much lower 1st gear and more overdrive. saves fuel on highway!
What's the typical costing for this (equipment only)
If you’re in Houston I could definitely use a hand with mine.
I am!
did you have to change motor mounts
I used the JSS bolt on motor mount. Very straightforward install
Do I need to upgrade transmission or drivetrain with this swap
I used the 8hp70 trans in this swap. The driveline can handle the torque as long as you don't go too crazy in 4lo
Wow. Well done. Do you have any mechanical skills? Can this be done by an average guy with a two car garage?and how much the swap ended costing you?
You can totally do it in a two car garage with basic mechanic skills. That's basically how I did it.
Where can i get info on how to do this at home?
Jeep Speed Shop V8 Swappers Facebook group is a good place to start

I cant find a new 6.4 engine... any help?

About 3 weeks roughly. Once you have all the parts it's not that hard. The toughest part is to get all the parts together in time so do plan ahead!

@hadestech5005 can you put a 392 in my 2019 jeep wrangler sahara unlimited?
What motor mounts did you use?
JSS bolt on motor mount
Ummmm....you made that look way too easy...
Right!🤣
Awesome Video! did you keep the Rubicon 4:1 tcase with the 8 speed? Or did you switch it out for a 2:1?

One thing getting her started but all the electronics nonsense CELs for no reason, etc.
