Glad Miata khalifa is running with all 6 gears!! Have you considered a tkx as a possible upgrade instead of a magnum/t56? I’ve seen a lot of fast v8 Miata people favoring that trans in the last two years or so… I know my car would really enjoy the extra weight reduction vs my magnum-f close ratio, and I don’t find myself hitting 5th gear in angst at the 1/4 mile with 3.31 gears. If nothing else, the tkx new is about $800 cheaper
I have noticed more people using the tkx recently. It's definitely a good option. I'd really like to have that extra overdrive for the highway though. That's honestly where I have the most fun with my car at lol. Plus a t56 I can rebuild in about 4-5 if I break it.

3500s are pretty straight forward. It's just getting the tail back on that's the tricky part.
