Ibrahim The Bandmaster

Ibrahim The Bandmaster is a part of 10 short telefilms produced, directed and scripted by me under Prasar Bharati for DD Jaipur. Based on a short story with the same title by legendary author Late Vijaydan Detha. There have been three original texts, written three times stretched in years from pre-independence India to 1976. It was quite complex and challenging to create a final summed up script from all these three, where characters, including of protagonist Ibrahim had been changing along with changing periods, time and space and moods of the author.
Acted well by ammature artists and shot in single uninterrupted schedule in Borunda, 205 kilometers from Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The role of old Ibrahim is played by Surendra Rajan. Camera handled by Vivek shah.
