@@residentelect No, I only remember a video of the Audi TT fire chief from London; We had a few Porsche Doctor Cars (911, 911 Carrera, Cayenne) in service here; Nowadays the marked ones are all BMW 2 Gran Tourer (absolutely not suitable for the task), but I know some private owned ones like a Mercedes-Benz G-Class (as the one G-Class was destroyed in an accident he simply bought a new G-Glass); In my old home town some doctors at the university hospital run an A4 or A6 Touring as ECMO Car; And I have one video of one of the doctors responding to a call while having ski racks and roof box mounted on the roof, with the emergency light next to it ^^

@urbex2007 well while they won't slow down some idiots, they sure slow down ordinary traffic; I wouldn't drive over them at 50 kph or even more. Extra minutes? As if minutes would be lost by slowing down a bit ... time is lost due to all kinds of circumstances in traffic, these speed bumps hardly have a factor on that: The thing is: just because there's a speed limit, many people will drive faster than the posted limit, unless there are speed bumps forcing them to slow down. Now I’ve passed two theory tests and as far as I’m aware doctors arnt blue light trained and have green beacons not blue flashing lights? So what’s going on here then son
Some doctors can use blue lights. Usually they have to meet some strict criteria such as: - Respond to emergency calls on behalf of an ambulance service. - Be trained to respond using blue lights. - Have their car registered as an emergency vehicle. - Have specialist insurance that covers emergency response driving. Most doctors don't bother with all that and therefore are stuck with using green lights and have to obey traffic laws.
It's great, when call on doctor has special "personal" emergency vehicle.
had one nearby my town driving a Porsche 911 Carrera, unfortunately he isn't among us any more
