    • @PianoLessonwithWarren

      Nigel Taylor lol well it's not the amount of years playing that will determine your growth, but rather the amount of intentional structured practice accumulated over weeks, months and years.
      But to answer your question, I've been playing since 2003, then studied music professionally 2004-20013. I have two degrees in music.

    Hi Warren I Wonder if you could do a Tutorial vid on how to invert or rather say minimize or reduce Extended chords like the 9th,11,13th? But would still sound the same? I don't know if it's me having this hardtime using it..anyways. It's just a request.. =D Awesome voice you have there though.! Thank you for your tutorials. I've gain A lot info from it.

    • @PianoLessonwithWarren
      @PianoLessonwithWarren  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      jeddan david hey man that's for the message. Yes I can do a vid on that. It's called cluster Cluster chords when you invert chords in close voicing.

      Vanorve Etienne you can imitate, which is totally fine. But you’ll never be able to sound exactly like me. You’ll sound like you which is better, because no will Be will able to sound exactly like you either. 😊👍🏾

    • @vanorveetienne5145
      @vanorveetienne5145 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Piano Lesson with Warren yes you're right. You're one of the awesome musicians and singer I've never seen. I love to know how to "gospolize " any song, I just love the big chords and I need a lot of lessons on the runs too. How can you help me?

    • @PianoLessonwithWarren
      @PianoLessonwithWarren  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Vanorve Etienne first place to start is to listen to a lot of gospel Music. Your playing will become that which you listen to the most. So if you want to sound Gospel, start listening to gospel a lot.
      Secondly, transcription. Attempt to play back what you hear with the cane feel. This takes time, but this is where it starts.

    At 7:16 I thought that the B7 was the tri tone substitute for F.. am i right?

    • @PianoLessonwithWarren
      @PianoLessonwithWarren  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Obey well yes you're correct. B7 is the Tritone for F7, however the context of how the chords are used is why I wouldn't call it a tritone sub. Usually the tritone is a substitution, but in this case the F7 wouldn't give a similar effect so the B7 isn't really functional as a tritone sub in this case. Good question though 😊👍🏾
