This song was written bij Richard Carpenter and John Bettis and reached #1 in the US chart in January 1973.
This version was recorded by AVRO Television during the Carpenters live performance at the 'Grand Gala du Disque', 15 February 1974 in the RAI Congres Building, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Eleven seconds of this version was used in the film Dark Shadows, a 2012 Warner Brothers American horror comedy film, directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer and Helena Bonham Carter.

Notwithstanding an endless sea of gushing, verbose tributes, i do so miss her, & her era, which, tragically, ended in her passing. Yet now with the rise of Tori Holub, one can only hope languishing eardrums will, finally, weary of the direction the recording industry has taken ever since the Telecommunications Act, & subsequent rise of Autotune & GRid.
I don't wish to be mean-spirited when I say this; if only Lizzo and Cardi B were around when the Carpenters were at their prime... Except they were not and could never exist in that pre-Autotune era. Talk about real unhealthy bods! Karen, you looked good there +/- 20 lbs. Your drumming was indeed better than John Bonham's most sober days. You are an angel now and people would have never labeled bitchy women as 'Karens' now because you would have still owned that name.
