this is great! Fito, The Mole and Harvey were part of the greatest lineup of Canned Heat. I love Fito's singing on this. He's got a right to sing it and he holds his own on a real hard song to sing. In fact, if ya go back and listen to The Blind Owl singing LIVE back in the day, well, he often hit a few rough patches on this one himself. LONG LIVE THE HEAT!
Saw Canned Heat with Larry Taylor and Fito in Brisbane, Australia in around about 2015. Very enjoyable gig. Larry played guitar for part of the set for a change.
this showa: canned heat was bob hite, al wilson, henry vestine and fito.. noone else. the rest: forget it. the last gig i saw with this so called canned heat, zhey opened the gig with on the road again, their greatest hit !!!! who in the world does a thing like this?. and so was the gig: forgettable
Tragic, isn't it? Some things are best left alone, or he could have done it in a lower key, noone expects him to reproduce Alan Wilsons unique vocals, they'd have been happy just to hear the song.
He isn't the founder but he was part of the classic line up, joining a little while after the great Larry Taylor. He gets credit though for being the only member of the band who's been there constantly since he joined.

Where is Mike Higgins, the lead singer?
At the beginning he says something like "Okay kurt lets wake up" and kurt is my guitar teacher :D
around 0:39 :D
Fito's vocal though......

I love it.

Fito de la Parra the the founder is sadly out of view...brilliant nevertheless.
It’s a shame he insist to sing
