    Thank you sooooo soooooo much for doing this step by step tutorial at a slow pace. I watched so many other youtube videos about this and then when it came to doing it myself, I kept failing. The problems I encountered weren't covered in those videos..now after watching yours, I can see what they didn't mention in their tutorials. Truly grateful to you!😍🤩

    You are an excellent teacher. Would you typically use split screen as an intro then show each clip individually in main story? Or just use them as intro and use other clips in story? Hope that makes sense. Thanks

    • @ThisGuy
      @ThisGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the project (and how much usable footage you have), either way is good and both are used often. But they are not just for intros either...any sort of split can be used at any point in a video. Well, any time that you want to show multiple images together on the screen (whether to "compliment" each other or to "oppose" each other. I explain more about split screens at the start of this video as well: th-cam.com/video/7lVdnxyMwjQ/w-d-xo.html - Have a good one, and thanks for watching!

    Please how can I create a Short Animation Movie in which 2 or more characters are having discussion in one Scene
    ?

    • @ThisGuy
      @ThisGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey SMS VINE. I have a plan/order that I intend to do my Animate Tutorials as I'm trying to build the foundation for my full course. A "discussion" scene will be something that I do eventually, but not until I do talking cycles (which I have planned for my level 2 tutorials - but I'm not done level 1 yet...). For Premiere, I had already laid the foundation with my 2 intro split screen videos, so adding a split screen animations video was a natural progression.

    Thanks for the video. I am having trouble though. When I try changing the position of the cropped clip on top, the cropped clip itself moves to the right instead of the framing of the clip, as yours seems to do. Any idea why that might be?

      What version of Photoshop are you using? In older versions you find it within Text I think. You can also add a color matte, then use the crop effect to crop it to the width/height that you need. Let me know if that makes sense/works?

    OK. I'm fairly new to Premiere Pro and was looking for something like this. However I'm disappointed that the author didn't start from scratch and explain the 3 clips - Reveal, Slide & Push, how he created them and there purpose or relationship with the actual video clips. I'll check out the rest of his TH-cam videos and see if I can find the answer there but for me this one isn't a complete tutorial. Sorry. I will say however that the instructions given for the rest where excellent so I'll come back to this when I've figured out the R,S & P clips

    • @ThisGuy
      @ThisGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure what makes it incomplete? I explained how to do all 3 from scratch, starting at about 1:30 and have chapters explaining how I did each of them. Reveal 2:16 Slide 5:26 and Push 12:42. What do you think was missing?

    • @jerbear197
      @jerbear197 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThisGuyApologies Shawn. It's the first 3 clips on your timeline that confused me. I did indicate I was no expert.
      I've been looking at your other videos and I believe, now, the first 3 clips, Reveal, Slide & Push, were just there to explain the 3 processes.
      I thought they were required in order to create the splits and I was looking for the section where you actually created them.

    For adobe premiere, can you please demonstrate how to push a long-form talking head video to the right side? For example, via transition the color matte appears on the left side (where text can be overlaid). The main video moves to the right side just when the color matte appears on the left side. So the screen is split into two vertical parts - the left side is used for text, and the right side shows the speaker. I’m thinking specifically of talking head videos that switch the speaker from the middle of the full frame to the right side of the frame in a 50% cropped dimension. The speaker is still in full view when the video is pushed to the right side (but the original sides of the video have been cropped out).
