Hi I'm new on making bows I would like advise on what kind of glue and type of gun should i use. Because my clips often fall apart 😬. Please some advice and thank you
I use a Bosch PKP18E glue gun & Loctite glue sticks
I use gorilla glue sticks and I have a glue gun from Walmart that ypy can adjust the temp on it was $20

No it’s very secure on the fabric. Maybe a tiny few pieces fall off when cutting but not when you touch it!

Hi, ive just spent a fortune on 2 new bow dies as im so rubbish at cutting anything out 🙈 it would all be uneven and the fabric would look awful lol. Wish i could use templates as much cheaper x
It’s just practice! Have you seen my beginners cutting tutorial?
My hands are quite painful with arthritis so wouldn't really be an option really. Ellie if ordering from Aliexpress is there custom charges to pay on top of the usual shipping x

Hi thank you for the video. Wondering if the glitter fabric folds or gets smashed down easily? Does it hold its shape? Or does it need to be strengthened? Can heat n bond be used? Also, I'd like to make one for my niece. If I mail it to her, would I have to send in a box? Not sure if it would get smashed in a regular or bubble polymailer?
I use bubble envelopes to mail bows & they are fine. The fabric I use takes a lot to lose its shape! A prolonged period of time with something heavy on top will flatten it! But general use and wear & year it won’t! No need to strengthen etc

Are those glitter sheets expensive? Have you tried mixing a bit of Odicoat with glitter and painting it on fabric for the holidays? Or using the glitter with a stencil?
The sheets are a good price (£2 each more or less) and do not shed any glitter. I fear if you tried to make your own it would work out more expensive and the glitter would come off!

The bow is 4.5” and the clip is usually 65 or 75m

Depends on the size of your bow template. If hand cutting or using a machine. And if you’re going to make the bows out of the same sheet or use a contrasting colour/fabric.

Joanne Huston sure! I use a Bosch glue gun, and i’m currently using the last of my Parkside glue sticks (it’s a mirrored cheaper brand of Bosch) - I also use Loctite glue sticks
What length is the clip?
That depends on what size bow you are making. Small bows around 3.5” I use a 45mm clip - bigger bows I use either 65mm or 75mm
