- Explain: Chris Paul mic'd up teaching Klay, Wiggins and Trayce; and Kuminga posts up LeBron James
by @EricApricot
Video analysis of plays from the 2024-03-16-LAL game between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers. This video unpacks some more mysterious mic’d up moments with Chris Paul teaching Andrew Wiggins “pitch or keep”, teaching Trayce Jackson-Davis about the importance of speedy inbounds, and reorganizing Klay Thompson and Brandin Podziemski to get Klay an open three. Plus Jonathan Kuminga posts up LeBron James and calmly stays in the flow of Steve Kerr’s motion offense to get a big score in crunch time.
Co-starring Lester Quiniones and Jerome Robinson. With Spencer Dinwiddie, Taurean Prince, and Max Christie.

CP3 already teaching guys who have been running these plays for years with this team. Basketball IQ is on another level.
wiggs is negative team bb iq impact
@@gregerius He is not, it's called working the details...
@gregerius I don't think it's bad IQ as much as it's different personel. Cause if he sets the handoff that high up with Steph then his defender will be up cause Steph is a threat 35 feet from the basket. But CP isn't going to shoot from there so he should set it closer to the 3 point. Cause Poole Steph and Klay are comfortable shooting 30. CP isn't really looking to do that.
loved the breakdown of the mic'd up. Good job! And the Steph point to CP3 on that last play was a good catch.
we need more of this type of content🔥
Oh my goodness. This is gold. Mic'd Up Breakdowns is a keeper.
Thank you!,
ye maybe if people realized that players make mistakes....Kerr wouldn't have been taking all that heat all season long..... Almost like they aren't robots and have to mentally be there as well as physically....
Cp3 is the perfect guy to mic up
CP3, like me, doesnt appreciate wiggins's lackadaisical execution. im very glad to see Chris Paul's coach-on-the-floor energy out there demanding that wiggins do better. his leadership has been a bright spot this season.
Should have traded Wiggins last off season, the january trade deadline, and next off season. He's lazy and only playing hard when it's contract time or trade deadline
@@lucky889s9 nobody wants that bum. His trade value is negative
@@intravenousradiodamn useless bum with 24mil per season. He sold so many games already
@@lucky889s9 wiggins for levine
Lazy? yes. Bum? no. Definitely has the talent but doesn't apply himself.
Loved the mic'd up aspect of this video, so cool, it's almost like being on the court and playing. Keep them coming Eric.
“Butt Technology” 😂😂
My Butt Tech has grown so much now that I've added AI that it seeks its own ice cream at midnight.
Lowry has the highest tech of all
CP3 has earned his place in the HOF. He probably will never get a ring, but he has been elite for a very long time in this league, and he's still that guy.
Thanks for the breakdown, thoroughly enjoyable!
He will probably get a ring. Never count the Warriors out.
I'll count the warriors out this season. They barely won against Lakers since AD went out. They can't get pass Mavs and even if they are lucky to get to spot 8, Nuggets will just eat them whole. They can't even dream beating Celtics 2024. They got BIG problems
@@fushumang1716 They barely won against the Lakers? They beat them by 10 points. I wouldn't call that barely winning. I think you're exaggerating.
@@fushumang1716Context matters. They were safe at #10 when they played against the Celtics. And they knew the Celts wanted to prove a point so they just let that one go. But noticed when the game matters, it’s the opponent who is back pedalling.
CP3 has coach dna in him
Lester was messing w/ the Lakers "ice in my veins" three pointer celebration, D'lo and Schröder used to do it A LOT
Nah the association has moved away from that since Austin Reeves ran it into the ground 😂😂 Mikal Bridges "finger guns"and Jayson Tatum celly is what's widely used now cause it's not punished by the league since it's 3 fingers and not 2🤷🏾♂️ they all look dumb asf if u ask me..if u didn't come up with it or only using it to troll its originator, then u a meat rider on a global stage🤣sickening
Facts and he was pointing at Christie who was the one who closed out on Klay
thanks for explaining using the basketball slangs. Never knew of those terms.
The reason we hated him for so many years is also the reason we love having him on the team; the man’s got a lifetime’s worth and more of institutional knowledge of angles, play actions, and timing.
Thank you, Eric!
I respected but didn't used to like CP... now I'd vote for him for president. He may be the best thing to happen to JK & TJD
Your celebration breakdowns are the best 👌🏾
Love this version of breakdown. Hope to see another mic'd version more!
Steph with the hockey celebration assist 😂
Great work, if you do a breakdown of a whole game i would watch every second multiple times. So much details to learn from your explanations and to watch the games with other (better) eyes!👏
Really appreciate all that you do Eric. This analysis was fantastic
The last few seasons I never look at CP3 personal stats... its amazing how he is utilizing all his teammates as chess pieces. Its amazing you see a lot of highly talented players over the years who play the game utilizing their individual talents and skills. But CP3 at this stage of his career is seeing the game from a different perspective. It is no longer about getting points and assists. It is about maximizing the all 5 guys on court so the offensive is efficient as possible every time he is on court.
Point God for a long time!
You clearly have never watched CP3 play because he's always been like this. Hes never been like Rondo who cares about stats. CP3 was Kobe's favorite because they both were OBSESSED WITH WINNING
Please keep em coming!!!
This is GREAT analysis. I've never seen anyone do this before. Fantastic!
Wow top tier content! Absolutely love this. More of this type of content please 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🤓
Great breakdown, so many fine details going on and so much to learn from this. Hope to see more of this!
This breakdown was super impressive and entertaining!! 💪🏿💪🏿
My man, you a legend. Insane analytics. Keep em coming!
Steph adds to much to offense, not only is he a great shooter, he is also the best decoy which enables easy buckets.
This breakdown was pure genius! Thank you for doing this and for posting this. I don't have words for how much I enjoyed this breakdown. It shows the things we as spectators don't consciously necessarily pay attention too. And it shows the greatness of Chris Paul, Steph Curry and even Lebron's basketball minds. These play actions are happening, so fast in real-time, they're easy to miss. So again, thank you for this!
I’ve never watched one of these breakdowns but it was very satisfying.
this is super well edited and explained; clear, concise, and humorous. awesome content
Really good video dude, this is literally something I never thought I wanted, but it’s great and I love it
I love this!!! I need more
This is a great video. We need more of these. With different teams, it would be cool, too.
Coach On the field I love CP3 get that ring bro !
This was fascinating!
Wow. How refreshing to listen to someone who ACTUALLY KNOWS BASKETBALL. Seriously. Never saw this channel before. Bravo! 👏🏻💯
This channel deserves more love!!!❤❤❤ so underrated!!!
This is so good ❤💪🙏
Good job, really enjoyable
love this stuff
what a nice video, great explanation
CP3 is a genius. I seriously think he'll make a great coach.
Are you fucking kidding me?!?!? I just discovered this channel - here at the END of the season - when I could have been enjoying this all year. Keep up the great work! Cant wait to see your breakdowns as we move into the playoffs & finals!
Great analysis video!
This was awesome
Small ball basketball is so sofisticated, explains why it has dominated the NBA over the last couple of years.
Also, this is how the GSWs keep beating up on everyone. Everyone thinks they can go pound-for-pound with them in the art of smallball - oh how wrong they are!!! GSWs are like that Chinese kungfu master who will always have an unknown card up their sleeve.
ive been here since day 1 with 300 subscribers now its with 40k!!!! Amazing growth! keep it up sir
Really great vid
Videos are awesome enthusiasm all the way thorough
Cp is an absolute floor general, every sense of that word.
Love you're channel! new subscriber
Beautiful basketball explained
Love this content.
So good!
Nice work dude
Glad I watched this. Cool breakdown with good humor 😄.
That was fantastic
Great Video 😊
love this
Bro your breakdown of the celebrations is GOATED
You should do more videos like this!
That was dope
Great commentary and break down.
It would be so satisfying to see cp3 get his first ring with Steph.
Great idea for a video
Great analysis Eric. Really appreciate you deciphering that for us. I learned something today. And since I’m in academic research, I loved the fifth author reference. Yeah we hand those 5th authorships out like pez.
the last part is just funny🤣
"Monsieur is not satisfied with the service."😆
Please do more videos like this
Wow, I know nothing about basketball. These guys are making so many more decisions on each possession than I would ever realize at full speed. Great work on the breakdown.
I wish CP will stay as a warriors next season, sign a team friendly contract. I believe they can be a contender next season if Kuminga becomes a 2 way star.
Make more of these please
thanks
CP is the new maestro! Love him on that..❤🎉
awesome breakdown followed by good comedy at the end
Good vid
Hi, is the Jk setting a screen & then forcing a switch on Dlo like that not a moving screen?
This was a good breakdown. It would be nice if CP3 got a ring going out the door but the Nuggets are just too good right now
You broke it down!!!!!
Great video! Would love to see a collab with Awful Coaching and his defense commentary
6:25 I love how JK don't give af about getting a rebound or boxing out. He just puts 3 fingers up and knows it's going in. LMAOOO
This is gold
This was us in the Playoffs...Mavs had recipe for Denver with two bigs so I hope they play somehow in the first round.
Great video. The Draymond show-and-go gets them every time. But he doesn’t over-use it which is what makes it so effective.
Also ‘no one ever got fired for following Steph Curry’. Gold! 😂
You are a gem.
Subbed
as someone who loves basketball but has no idea what's going on, these breakdowns are brilliant. thanks for doing them
Nice.
I LOVE this account.
😂❤ loving these breakdowns. The amount of attention given to the celebration audit is also hilarious. Thanks!
On that first play, why does D.Lo signaling his hands like... Here you go." ? 🤔
Love CP3. I hope they get far in the playoffs so he is convinced to stay… awesome leader especially on second unit
Brother even analysed the thumbs up
Celebrating the pass to assist guy is crazy talk 😂
Cp3 is such a good mentor. He is a great asset for the warriors.
I actually think the last celebration move actually points at the defense opponent who did not switch quickly enough and let Thompson make the shot😮
i feel like the background music is about to send me to an adventure but then im learning.. huh
Thi is when I disagree with compare 90's and even early 2000 basketball player to now. I'm not saying they can't do what the players do today. But basketball has evolved so much as a sport its poetic to read the game.
CP3 is really a master of facilitating the offense!
This is why I hope CP3 can stay a Warrior. He’s clearly the commander they need. The way he sees the game and orchestrates it is unmatched.
Gold blooded nation we got this 💙💛💙💛
