I mean he did plap on the floor and sink through the floorboards after, but the fact he was able to move at all while being a fried egg was impressive.

The physical differences betwen our Finn and Farmsworld Finn had lead me to belive the former is a mutant with increased physical capabilities and innate psychic powers. In fact, it could be the case that all "humans" in the Adventure time world are mutated, either by the eefects of the great war or by magic Edit: After being reminded of Finn being the re-incarnation of the catalyst comet, I am now convinced that his psychic abilities like telekinesis and astral projection are derived from this. I still think he is slightly mutated, but only in a cosmetic way
The mutagenic lich nuke affected everything on the earth, both living and non-living things. Everything was either mutated or made magical, or both. This goes for the surviving humans. Though the affects on the apparently non mutated humans are subtle.
Farm world Finn also is never implied to have fought anyone before Destiny’s gang. He lived the life of a normal farm boy and not an epic adventurer like the original.
Finn is the reincarnation of a Catalyst Comet, just like the Lich. It would not be strange if he had latened powers which he simply doesn't normally use.
His main power, what all of this stems from, is his *INSANE* levels of sheer willpower. Some people can go until their body quits, finn surpassed this so far he defied reality
His will power is immense but we have to remember that alot of his accomplishments were either accidents or done by the grass sword. Don't get me wrong, surviving a volcano is impressive but is nothing when you compare it to what bubblegum, ice king, and even Betty survived. And defying reality happens on a daily basis in this show
Another little thing about Finn's capabilities, is that he learned to not depend on his vision, and now can live normally without it, which means his senses are very, very sharp.
Nah finn is like a level 18 fighter, level 18 sorcerer with (astral origins), level 3 barbarian, level 5 monk, level 7 ranger (from his last girlfriend huntress wizard), level 13 wizard(from that one episode with the robe and the frog scam artist), level 10 druid (from the grass arm) with the sickest sword collection in all of Ooo. Somehow he has all those levels.

And when he put on the amulet of hundson abbadeer, he was able to control the power enough to save marcy and jake from hell before losing himself. The same power that took over marcy the moment she put it on
Finn fell in the life goop, which more then likely helped with the fall ability. And willingly taking a power and being ambushed with it are two separate things, so she may as well have been able to control if for a minute if she knew what was happening.

also in "you forgot ur floaties", when magic man turned him into a literal egg he harnessed enough willpower to still move, in "wizard battle" he just BROKE out of being turned into a cat by the grand wizard, in "no one can hear you" (if he was being serious abt his legs) he was able to run and fight w/ entirely broken legs, and many other feats; like let's not forget all finn had to do to decimate king worm is open his vault and let all his fears run around for like a minute. finn kinda op, at least mentally
Finn's strength and speed are both immeasurable, as not only was he able to lift a 4d sword effortlessly, but he was able to go toe to toe with primordial monsters like the lich and orgalorg that were able to exist in the absence of time, meaning their speed is immeasurable so Finns is as well.
finn is also a primordial monster like the lich (in fact literally the same species technically) and why mention lifting a 4d sword? like thats not rly a feat unless its stated to have some magical ability in the show because in real world mathematically it says nothing about a 4d thing being impossible to lift rather just that it may be possible at the end of the day its just a hypothesis so the rules are whatever the show makes them up to be since the 4th doesn't actually have any evidence for its existence and its just a possiblity that writers like to adapt into a cool teir of power even though it means nothing in terms of strength (for example being a 4th dimensional being in the real world if we are to assume the 4 dimension even exists which is a stretch you wouldn't have super powers you would just be a normal thing that looks different...nothing extra no comic book powers nothing just a normal being) and there was always time and always will be time since the movement of anything means there is time so hes prob just talking about the concept of time....which again means nothing since many people have existed outside of time (like prismos human form) which is 100% not immeasurable and quite slow....also finn loses alot of races

His abilities from the robes in the episode "The Wizard" also had him have a bunch of abilities. And able to do Ice ninja magic (though he didn't memorize the ninjutsus since they just did the mfor laughs with no thought of rememberin it for future use).
I love how finn's strenght is balenced like he isn't some kind of op protagonist that can beat anyone, i mean he can get his ass kicked so many times, and also can defeat some powerful villains

An amalgamation of all his best feats and stuff would easily make Finn one of the most powerful entity in the Adventure Time universe. I'm talking about Finn with his ultimate wizard form and magic, his ice ninjutsu, his dungeon train loots, his telekinetic prosthetic arm, Finn Sword (that doubles his physical attributes and he's already an absolute unit), the psychic tandem war elephant, the whole kazoo. Edit: How can I forget to mention Jake. Not only as a Jake suit but as his companion. The Enchiridion and stuff are lumped in with "the whole kazoo."
After receiving this much info about Finn, I now don't question how he consistently survive his encouters with the Lich. However, his wins against the Lich is either luck or are brought about through a lot of help by others.
I think Finn gained power once he discovered and connected with his reincarnations. While I wouldn’t say top 10 perhaps I’d give him a top 20. Guy was able to will himself as an egg to turn himself into bread. There is so many stupidly powerful characters in this show
My guess on why he is this powerful is the same as how magic works in adventure time To use magic one has to accept that nothing is real and become open to the consent of anything being possible,becoming a lucid dreamer within the dream of reality Finn doesn't quite reject the idea of existence but instead believes in himself,his capabilities,and the fact that good will always triumph to the point that he's shaping raw power into himself to match any situation as long as he has the mental fortitude to overcome it Basically Finn believes he has that dog in him and his belief is so strong that it becomes fact,he just is really about that life He may be only human but who decided that means powerless?
If I were to guess why Finn is stronger than your average human, it could be because of both his combat training combined with the damage the planet received during the Mushroom Wars. It's not a major difference in an objects weight but there is at least a 6th or 7th chunk of the planet missing.

In his conversation with the comet, it is theorized that the entire universe might just be a story that the blue comet has been telling himself, in which case he is the creator of everything and exists outside of the reality we know
you are partially correct, but theres a cosmic imagination that dreams up everything in the show. that's why dreams = reality and give power to magic and reality warping, like prismo. This cosmic imagination exists as reality itself, which is sentient. (keep in mind reality doesnt equal the multiverse, as the multiverse is infinite and there are infinite number of multiverses, aswell as the antiverse and hilbert space being apart of reality). Its said that when everyone in reality dies, reality ceases to exist as disappears in an instant, as "there will be no one left to perceive it".
He also has a high pain tolerance as well. He not only got his arm torn off once, but twice! and the second time he showed little to no reaction (Assuming that Finn actually felt the pain of having his arm ripped off). He even got his legs broken by a fake deer and the most the deer got out of him was a; "Whatever."
I was gonna comment that "Defeating Orgalorg doesn't count because he had the grass sword", but then I realized that weapons you have count to "how powerfull you are".

Despite him being the human, he really is one of the most magical people in Ooo He isn’t like Simon, who is stuck with the knowledge of the 21st century with just popping back into a strange cartoon world. Finn was fully raised in Ooo and is fully adapted to its weird magical rules

I dont think hunson should be up there, seeing as how he literally beat the dude multiple times, and (i believe) befriended him, prismo would definitely kill him, but i think he cant because he might be bound by some sort of spell thing, kinda like a genie, and if finn had access to prismos body, he could kill prismo with ease, golb would decimate finn, lich is an iffy, because finn was only able to beat him with the help of certain tools, cosmic owl is a person who can predict deaths, so all he has to do is put a coin in, and finns death would come true, marceline would definitely kill him, but there would be a huge battle, and the deer? the deer is scary, and would totally kill finn, the only reason he beat the deer was because of jake. also you should rewatch it, i've rewatched it like.. three times already, and each time it just gets better and better.

Correction... Finn didnt lift the monster, he dragged it and let gravity do the work since that monster was top heavy.. But Finn is still has some amazing strength feats
You know watching the show you don't really think about it due to the goofy cartoony nature of the show but Finn would have to have power comparable to a demigod to do some of the things he does. It does kinda make sense though, since Finn is meant to be a counteracting force to the lich. Like the yang to the lich's yin.
The thing is, sometimes the grass sword and jake carries, but in other cases he is just a powerhouse. I wonder how shermy (the next incarnation of finn) pales in comparison. That mouse looking cat seems weak. Perhaps he will be more in the magical side of finn to compensate.
I was rlly hoping you’d mention Fionna and Cake where he fucking punched a humongous bear, Then he GRABS HIS EAR AND THROWS HIM TO THE FUCKING GROUND. AND THEN PROCEEDS TO CRUSH HIS THROAT VIA BEAR HUGGING IT (pun not intended) AT AGE 29!! He didn’t use any weapons or powers or anything, just pure muscles and he acted as if it was a regular tuesday
I think the finale was meant to show how Finn had matured enough to know that there are ways conflict can be resolved peacefully. He can be a hero by prompting truce and preventing unnecessary bloodshed.
Another feat of Finn's is when he went into the Night-o-sphere (ATs version of hell) to rescue Marceline from Hunson's amulet, an item that contains the chaotic evil power of the Night-o-sphere itself. After he rips it off Marcy he puts it on himself fight through the demons to get her and Jake out of there. The incredible part is that the amulet is pure chaotic evil (as described by Hunson) and contains the power of hell itself (judging by Marcelines almost God like abilities while wearing it) and Marcy immediately fell to its corruptive influence, while Finn actually managed to resist its influence for a solid 10 seconds before it started to take over. Especially considering Marceline is not only the vampire queen, but also the daughter of Hunson, the ruler of the Night-o-sphere.
My biggest problem with Finn being top 10 most powerful is that it feels in AT mythology as if there are hundreds of creatures that could stomp him. Even though if you actually list all the named characters in order of power he could very likely be up there.

I always liked the idea that humans were just a relatively strong species among all the other creatures of Ooo. Simon was also doing quite well in the Belanoche episode.
I just always thought he was just really skilled enough to face off against eldritch gods rather than being as powerful as them. But I forgot this dude pulled giant bricks of the world to build a tower to space and also had buffsfrom random people and adventures
The biggest reason for finn being so beefy is his upbringing in the human covenant created by the transhuman godmen known as the founders. All the humans had advanced genetic augmentation with susan litterally being a mountain of muscle. Finn may not have been a finder like susan but he and his mother were already selectivly augmented for empathy and intelligence. considering their role as scientists and caretakers. these two traits along with imagination are the most important for magic. Considering his cosmic nature and the experiences of the current incarnation, he probably became supernaturally strong due to simply beleiving it over time and reinforcing it with action. His physical form responding to his empathetic Helper genes/imagination/experiences and catalyst memories.
Also about that telekenesis thing. He didn't just lift something up into a cube. No he cuts it up into a cube. That apple in the clip got cut. Imagine him just cutting his opponent in half.
My understanding of Adventure Time magic is that the more mad or sad one is the more magical they are. And so what was finn during that time he built that tower.
I'd like to think in extraordinary events he does extraordinary things but when it comes to everyday tasks (being a hero) he makes do with ordinary ways
Forgot he can channel into a spirit relm and commune with his spirit beast. Something he initially dismisses as useless, because they're butterflies, but they actually end up saving the day for them.
They never mentioned that it has anything to do with the grass sword and nothing about it actually suggests that. The arm was simply manifested by his strong emotions and hatred for his father.
I also would like to add that not only is Finn extremely powerful physically also mentally (for the most parts) he lost so much and was betrayed be others and his ambitions aswell, however he did not once stop completely. he may took time off to think and better understand himself but he saw his wrongs and fault and mended almost entirely all of them and helped himself aswell, and from personal experience "bettering yourself" or treating yourself right takes a lot of hard work (I still have much progress to do tbh). also, he talks to people with humility and eye level. (such as the ice king that since season 3 ~ish was no longer a "villain" but a person lost by the crown's influence, marceline even though he feared her a lot in season 1 he still thought she wasn't a bad person despite what Jake told him about vampires, his dad wasn't a malicious man, at least not really, he was mean and maybe a little scheming and rude but he was a person. and so on...) sorry for it being a scroll

The physical differences betwen our Finn and Farmsworld Finn had lead me to belive the former is a mutant with increased physical capabilities and innate psychic powers. In fact, it could be the case that all "humans" in the Adventure time world are mutated, either by the eefects of the great war or by magic

And when he put on the amulet of hundson abbadeer, he was able to control the power enough to save marcy and jake from hell before losing himself. The same power that took over marcy the moment she put it on
Finn fell in the life goop, which more then likely helped with the fall ability. And willingly taking a power and being ambushed with it are two separate things, so she may as well have been able to control if for a minute if she knew what was happening.

An amalgamation of all his best feats and stuff would easily make Finn one of the most powerful entity in the Adventure Time universe. I'm talking about Finn with his ultimate wizard form and magic, his ice ninjutsu, his dungeon train loots, his telekinetic prosthetic arm, Finn Sword (that doubles his physical attributes and he's already an absolute unit), the psychic tandem war elephant, the whole kazoo.

After receiving this much info about Finn, I now don't question how he consistently survive his encouters with the Lich. However, his wins against the Lich is either luck or are brought about through a lot of help by others.
I just want to mention, building and climbing that tower at the same time, is the equivalent of doing pullups for more than 48 hours non-stop.

If I were to guess why Finn is stronger than your average human, it could be because of both his combat training combined with the damage the planet received during the Mushroom Wars.

you are partially correct, but theres a cosmic imagination that dreams up everything in the show. that's why dreams = reality and give power to magic and reality warping, like prismo. This cosmic imagination exists as reality itself, which is sentient. (keep in mind reality doesnt equal the multiverse, as the multiverse is infinite and there are infinite number of multiverses, aswell as the antiverse and hilbert space being apart of reality). Its said that when everyone in reality dies, reality ceases to exist as disappears in an instant, as "there will be no one left to perceive it".

Wouldn't Finn cutting Abadeer with 2 normal swords mean Abadeer isn't that durable?

I think it’s just it’s Finn and considering Finns inhuman strength since he lifts Giants when he was a Baby it’s safe to assume that The Two Swords were not normal
He also went toe to toe with fucking death himself, Survived Old death and got to live again and Faced off with New Death and still prevailed.
He is also the keeper of the Encydridion. You know, one of the most powerful items in the Entire universe.
I feel like stuff he does with the grass sword shouldn't count, since that's pretty much the sword doing it and not Finn. I guess the wormhole thing still counts since he *was* using his normal arm to hold the other side
If you don't include things like weapons and gadgets in power scaling, then a lot of beings would literally be normal people like I dunno, batman.
Also the grass sword is bonded to him in some way, so it technically counts

Crazy to think that Finn is just a human being and yet he can still do all of these inhuman abilities and acts. Makes you wonder if he truly is Inhuman or if it is just his human strength and ability at best. Man's a God.

I dont think hunson should be up there, seeing as how he literally beat the dude multiple times, and (i believe) befriended him, prismo would definitely kill him, but i think he cant because he might be bound by some sort of spell thing, kinda like a genie, and if finn had access to prismos body, he could kill prismo with ease, golb would decimate finn, lich is an iffy, because finn was only able to beat him with the help of certain tools, cosmic owl is a person who can predict deaths, so all he has to do is put a coin in, and finns death would come true, marceline would definitely kill him, but there would be a huge battle, and the deer? the deer is scary, and would totally kill finn, the only reason he beat the deer was because of jake.
also you should rewatch it, i've rewatched it like.. three times already, and each time it just gets better and better.

I said The Lich cuz all he had to do was say "fall" and Finn was down for the count, also The Lich is my favorite villain so I'm biased af.
I was gonna re-watch the show then watch distant lands, but honestly part of me couldn't get past the way they talk.
@@conit4125 I agree with you about the lich, he is a scary dangerous individual, the only reason finn ever beat him was either because of that sweater, the weird white stuff that turned lich into a baby, and other tools, and i never knew they had comics, nor did i know hunson had the same strength as golb, gotta read them comics lol

You know watching the show you don't really think about it due to the goofy cartoony nature of the show but Finn would have to have power comparable to a demigod to do some of the things he does. It does kinda make sense though, since Finn is meant to be a counteracting force to the lich. Like the yang to the lich's yin.
Bro fought some deer with two broken legs and a Lich with a sweater. It's beyond plot armor, it's concentrated "Fuck it, we ball" energy
The thing is, sometimes the grass sword and jake carries, but in other cases he is just a powerhouse. I wonder how shermy (the next incarnation of finn) pales in comparison. That mouse looking cat seems weak. Perhaps he will be more in the magical side of finn to compensate.

I was rlly hoping you’d mention Fionna and Cake where he fucking punched a humongous bear, Then he GRABS HIS EAR AND THROWS HIM TO THE FUCKING GROUND. AND THEN PROCEEDS TO CRUSH HIS THROAT VIA BEAR HUGGING IT (pun not intended) AT AGE 29!!
He didn’t use any weapons or powers or anything, just pure muscles and he acted as if it was a regular tuesday
This makes the ending a bit mote frustrating despite all this feats he didn't get to do a whole lot just waiting to be digested
I think the finale was meant to show how Finn had matured enough to know that there are ways conflict can be resolved peacefully. He can be a hero by prompting truce and preventing unnecessary bloodshed.
Another feat of Finn's is when he went into the Night-o-sphere (ATs version of hell) to rescue Marceline from Hunson's amulet, an item that contains the chaotic evil power of the Night-o-sphere itself. After he rips it off Marcy he puts it on himself fight through the demons to get her and Jake out of there. The incredible part is that the amulet is pure chaotic evil (as described by Hunson) and contains the power of hell itself (judging by Marcelines almost God like abilities while wearing it) and Marcy immediately fell to its corruptive influence, while Finn actually managed to resist its influence for a solid 10 seconds before it started to take over. Especially considering Marceline is not only the vampire queen, but also the daughter of Hunson, the ruler of the Night-o-sphere.
My biggest problem with Finn being top 10 most powerful is that it feels in AT mythology as if there are hundreds of creatures that could stomp him. Even though if you actually list all the named characters in order of power he could very likely be up there.

tbf the only thing preventing Finn from being a cosmic level threat is he deliberately vaults his memories and knowledge of his capabilities.

I always liked the idea that humans were just a relatively strong species among all the other creatures of Ooo. Simon was also doing quite well in the Belanoche episode.
Finn and Jake may have died of old age but they are still pretty strong
I just always thought he was just really skilled enough to face off against eldritch gods rather than being as powerful as them. But I forgot this dude pulled giant bricks of the world to build a tower to space and also had buffsfrom random people and adventures
The biggest reason for finn being so beefy is his upbringing in the human covenant created by the transhuman godmen known as the founders.
All the humans had advanced genetic augmentation with susan litterally being a mountain of muscle. Finn may not have been a finder like susan but he and his mother were already selectivly augmented for empathy and intelligence. considering their role as scientists and caretakers. these two traits along with imagination are the most important for magic. Considering his cosmic nature and the experiences of the current incarnation, he probably became supernaturally strong due to simply beleiving it over time and reinforcing it with action. His physical form responding to his empathetic Helper genes/imagination/experiences and catalyst memories.

My understanding of Adventure Time magic is that the more mad or sad one is the more magical they are. And so what was finn during that time he built that tower.

The telekinesis is from the grass flower not from Finn himself
They never mentioned that it has anything to do with the grass sword and nothing about it actually suggests that. The arm was simply manifested by his strong emotions and hatred for his father.
I also would like to add that not only is Finn extremely powerful physically also mentally (for the most parts) he lost so much and was betrayed be others and his ambitions aswell, however he did not once stop completely. he may took time off to think and better understand himself but he saw his wrongs and fault and mended almost entirely all of them and helped himself aswell, and from personal experience "bettering yourself" or treating yourself right takes a lot of hard work (I still have much progress to do tbh). also, he talks to people with humility and eye level. (such as the ice king that since season 3 ~ish was no longer a "villain" but a person lost by the crown's influence, marceline even though he feared her a lot in season 1 he still thought she wasn't a bad person despite what Jake told him about vampires, his dad wasn't a malicious man, at least not really, he was mean and maybe a little scheming and rude but he was a person. and so on...)
