I grew up on East Oakland as well in the 1980's and i remember riding these old school Gmc Buses all the time i remember riding the 82 going up E14th st and riding the 40 up Foothill blvd to get to the Eastmont Mall the memories. I remember these buses smelling like diesel and being hella loud how have times changed.
My Grandad drove the hell outta this one back in the day.

i wish the uk had these in the 70's/80's fuel was cheap back then. all we had was BL. although BL did make a good bus leyland national. its an north american icon.

these buses bring me back to the old days of the MBTA here in Boston the best buses no doubt about it.There is nothing like a detroit diesel engines

Saskatoon Canada where I live. had old gmc buses like that. They retired them all in 2013
