- The Drift Masters European championship kicked off last weekend in Ireland and we went exclusively behind the scenes to see what it's all about with BC Racing! James Deane was back as a wildcard alongside the biggest names in European drifting for a showdown like no other. I've said it already on Red Bull's recap video but I cannot stress this enough: Big, big kudos to the sound engineers this year. The audio mix of the live stream was absolutely fantastic. Everything's gotten even more professional this year. Can't wait to see Riga in person!

Need a Drift Masters US season. 4 rds in Europe 2 in the US? 😂😂😂. DMEC just blows FD away in every aspect and I don’t know why they haven’t hired Dave yet or a Dave protege?

I was thinking the same thing watching it, if you have any experience mixing music or sound you can really really appreciate how masterful the sound mixing was on stream. From music, to the cars to the announcing, it was PERFECT.

Everybody has already praised the production & the event, but the thing that really really stood out to me was that somebody on the safety crew had done a proper risk analysis & worked out where to put those big chunks of foam so that when a driver completely missed the fast tip in to the first corner he didn't end up being cut out of a completely wrecked car & taken off in an ambulance & neck brace with serious injuries.
Top job the Clerk of the Course or whoever does that job for Driftmasters at Mondello!

Take notes FD. THIS is how events should be. THIS is how announcers should announce at the event. Not some drunk dude shouting sponsors and what manufacture the car is the entire run. WOOOOOOO sEnD IIIIiiiiiittttttTTTTT!

Never a fault with DMEC but this was a sheer quality broadcast 1 rnd in and sorry to the haters but this is the best drift tournament hands down. between drivers, redbull, drift games it was flawless. dave I hope you and the dg boys gave yourselves a pat on the back well done guys
This was my first time watching the DMEC live stream. Why did it seem this event and the production was so much better then US FD? The inside the car camera live stream is so sick too.
For context if people don’t know, Piotr and James competed in FD in 2017,18,19. In 2019 they built a brand new pair of cars which is why Piotr has two identical LHD s15s
Loving the behind the smoke. It good to see how much goes in to an event and how hard yous all worked.
This was pretty spot on. Cool BTS stuff with drivers but also got to see q1,2,and 3 runs. Good stuff. That entry by Deane was absolute perfection, be curious how he’s feeling in the nimble s14.9 setup compared to the RTR setup!
Great to get behind scenes, brings back so much great memories from last years sweden&riga when i got to be part of this great circus 😍 Hope to be back whit it soon when you bring this crew to Finland 😊
I really like the "In-car-camera" for the judges rather than the Green & Red light's on the A-pillars in FD, which are inconclusive, IMO.

I love me a good 10,000rpm V8. We here in New Zealand with our dirt oval Superstocks can do around that with a 248.5ci Carburetor V8 with rule book limits. So far we have done Ford, Chev, Toyota, Nissan and BMW V8s and when they are going good they sound so crispy. Can't wait for the next episode.
This championship is one of the best in the world now!

Best motorsports event in the world if you ask me. Better than FD, better than F1, not as big as nascar but a hell of alot more fun to watch. Redbull always run great events. I represented Ireland for Redbull at crashed ice in Belfast. Production quality was off the hook.

Actualy Rintanen's GR86 did not come from straight from the showroom it came from the states cause it was crashed there after the showroom.
Fun fact piotr wiecek and his team built 2 supras.. 😂
so 2 identical S15s now 2 A90 supras. 1 as his main and the other as his back-up car.

Mika Keski-Korpi’s BMW has a Barra engine. And it is in Finland.
