@@RubaniteI actually forgot if Synth Fiber (Synth Protein?) works on sentinels or only beasts, good to know. I've been using Smeeta and Panzer since the ammo nerf, even Carrier Prime couldn't fix my Acceltra, K. Brama, and K. Zar. For some reason the K. Tonkor is still fine on ammo without Carrier.
The best part about this is that it hopped on my recommended just weeks before DE eliminates Perma-Death from all companions. This will effectively make it so that every companion can stand on its own merit, since they will all be coming back to life over and over and over again. Gonna just save this one.
I use Dethcube a lot as well, to the point where it's actually my most used sentinel too, love my little box of death! I've got my helstrum modded for gas and status duration to help build up energy generator stacks, and I can't wait to see if the pet rework will make it even more usable

Alright, since I've been called out now for running a Vulpa since they dropped, I feel the need to defend myself. I use my Panzer for the same reason you use your Dethcube, energy generation. Synth Deconstruct applies via the Viral plague Panzers spread, which they can do across 20+ enemies, instead of small groups of 5+. This generates health orbs, which can be gathered with Equilibrium to apply infinite energy to your frame. I'm a Valkyr main that focuses entirely on Hysteria, and even with my high efficiency build, my drain is around 3/sec at max drain. As such, I do need the amount of energy my Panzer can provide to me. The fact it can't die is just an added bonus. I'm also a Vaz main, so reviving companions is more of a minor annoyance than anything, thanks to the instant revives and 100% revive speed bonus. When the companion rework kicks in, I'm switching to the Sahasa Kubrow temporarily to see how much more effective it is at energy generation than my Panzer, but even so, my Panzer will remain my absolute best energy generator.

There's also that one Kubrow that digs up stuff like a mini-dispensary, I'm excited for these two. Also the Huras... I have some ideas for builds that don't need to use weapons and should thus be able to remain invis, but some of them kinda rely on team of 3 or more. A core of such a team that will be quite strong imo is Speed Nova + Banshee, the other 1 or 2 frames are there to make enemies kill each other. There can be frames like Rev or invis frames spamming their weapons in these teams too, and those can bring Panzer etc.
Cheers, I appreciate the build. I have had fun using sweeper prime on Dethcube w/ a riven, drops energy pretty consistently, deals good dmg but slow fire rate. Would love for the devs to make vacuum an inherent ability for all companions so we could mod something else there.
I use the deth machine rifle for pure status and fire rate. Electric, viral, and fired up on the cube. Very helpful for condition overload while providing decent effects like armor strip cc and viral
This could work for me actually. My Frost build uses his abilities a lot to build overguard and group up enemies. But if I’m not careful (or just unlucky with Energize) I can get caught with my pants down with no Energy. But this build may just give me the slight bump in energy that I need! Especially if I combine it with Energize. I’ve also been looking for something to help me manage energy on Baruuk so that I don’t have to put on Energize. This might be what I’ve been looking for! I’m definitely considering putting this build to work.
With my frost build I use a vectis prime with sharpshooter which grants energy on headshots paired with the kubrow that digs up energy for constant energy so I never run out

Punch through is a great riven stat if you going specifically for energy generator. My death machine rifle has almost 10 punch through, and my verglas is DMG, multi shot, punch through roll, kills most steel path for me, or procs enough co for easy finish. Usually modded for gas and cold for AOE clouds and slow heavy targets.
There is a pet rework soon that will add mods, functionality, more synergy between pet and frame and removing permanent death. Also, for the best damage, there is a specific weapon that has glaxion stats that can kill steel path enemies. I forget what it's called, maybe someone else knows. Also, synth fiber allows you to pick up health orbs even when you are max hp allowing you to consistently pick them up for energy through equilibrium. Pair that with synth deconstruct giving lots of orbs and you get a shit ton of energy. Also, modding a high status sentinel weapon with gas can give similar results. It works differently in the sense that the gas cloud will linger for 6 seconds so any enemy that enters the area your procced gas in will be damage and proc synth deconstruct (not sure about energy generator). This might be better than helstrum since enemies are always moving about and you could tag a lot of enemies with it but I'm not sure.
You're thinking of the Verglas. For the Gas trick, Helstrum's not a bad idea for it. The explosion has base heat so you can get by with just modding in Toxin for gas damage, and with 30% status it's the third highest Status Chance below the Cryota(35%) and Verglas(34%).

Intresting alternative to panzer if you are sick of it, though given that its a sentinel, it still suffers from the issues that plagues all of them However, all this might change in the upcoming pet rework, so we will have to wait and see
The targeting is only really a problem when the enemies aren’t aggro’d and sometimes it feels like it bugs out trying to figure out if it wants to shoot or to vaporize
This might be a bug, and i only learnt about it a month ago, but wisp's shock mote can trigger energy generator. Wisp can give her motes to allied entities like defense targets or pets and what not, but the health increase won't work on most. The shock mote however might work, and when it gets shared to dethcube, and then zaps an enemy, it credits the damage to the sentinel. Just a speculation on how it works
Honestly I use Vulpaphyla because of a few reasons: ~It doesnt die, so I can keep passive buffs like Enemy Radar, Fetch/Vacuum, and Loot Radar without worrying about my hopes and dreams being shattered when it dies. I know I could technically use another Companion but honestly I just prefer Vulpaphyla for a reason I will get into (which is literally just below this bullet point). ~The one that I designed is kind of meant to die, I dont use it for damage or spreading Viral, my Vulpa gives Evasion upon me killing things and/or when it does, and the two stacked together can be insanely strong; I know the one that spreads Viral is considered better since it acts like a primer for most weapons, but I just really prefer Evasion over it, I think it can come in clutch sometimes. I dont entirely use Vulpaphyla, I do use Helios to scan thing sometimes, mostly for base star chart content since I know it wont die. I also do use Death Cube as well sometimes. But damn saying that it is useless is kind of wrong, at least in my opinion.
I prefer putting electric on my Helstrum honestly. Because it has innate heat on the explosion, it gives it Electricity on the direct impact, and radiation on the explosion. Just gives it a little passive crowd control. Nothing game changing, but a bonus is a bonus.

I'd strongly suggest modding for either electricity or gas (or both) rather than cold. They're AoE status effects, which helps increase the AoE tagging even more. You can use the helstrum, or the verglas. Both work for this purpose. Gas is better than electricity in my experience, but electricity will only take 1 mod. Unless you're on the verglas, since it'll just combine with the innate cold. Obviously it can also be used for regular old viral priming, but if tagging as many enemies as possible for assists in groups, electricity and gas are better.
Hopefully at some point soon I can stop using the Helios but just when I think I’ve scanned everything DE goes and puts out some new stuff for me to scan Data data data I must have all the information😂.

Does enemies damaged by Gas procs from Helstrum also contribute to Synth Deconstruct and Energy Generator even though they might not get hit by the initial rocket explosions? Because holy shit the AOE from Helstrum is already insane, but spreading Gas clouds to EACH enemy hit is just absurd

You can also use nourish or use amber shards for energy effectiveness on pickup

The volpa is the only pets that does Armor stripping in an AOE attacks Style. You do not need to mod for armor stripping if you bring fluffy DUH
No, you may wanna go and relook, at Kavats & Deimos companions. They all can be equipped, with the Kavat mod. For render flesh and armor-asunder.

This is a pretty cool build. I'm gonna go try this on my Dethcube. I just sell my Arcane Energize whenever I can after Tridolon hunts cause I'd rather not rely on it and there are better dps arcanes to use. But I'm gonna slot in some Vigilante mods instead and do Gas

Why cold and not electricity ? The proc could hit other enemies and stun them, same goes with gas lingering cloud for more enemies touched ?
Just use the verglas. Best sentinel weapon by far.
Does enemies damaged by Gas procs from Helstrum also contribute to Synth Deconstruct and Energy Generator even though they might not get hit by the initial rocket explosions? Because holy shit the AOE from Helstrum is already insane, but spreading Gas clouds to EACH enemy hit is just absurd
also wondering this, or maybe using verglas + combustion beam. did you find out?
I would love to try that but my autistic minmax brain says i have to always run charm to double my loot every 16th leap year or so
