Honestly, Infantry is the better troop type in kvk1 and kvk2. Having Bjorn, Sun Tzu, Charles, Pyrrhus, Richard (for PvE and canyon), Alex are great to have. Newer players going down this route will get used to infantry, they'll be Stockholm Syndrome'd into sticking with them for the rest of the game. Infantry was OP maybe 2-3 years ago but Cavalry and Archers are just too good to have at the moment. We still want a rebirth ceremony like option to reset the heads we spent on an old commander and then put the heads on the newer commanders but it's highly unlikely. And i can tell infantry mains are noobs if they craft eternal night and shio's after kvk1 and 2.
As someone in end kvk1, should I switch civilizations once we get better cav commanders?

Here is the real truth, infantry has been given 1 - 1,5 years until kvk 3 (before update) to own the game, no one can beat them, not even close. Now when you guys are in the end game, you want the same "glorious days" you already get at the early days. I am a cavalry main, I dont invest in any infantry cmd in early days, not even alex, so I'm crushed literally everywhere. I think it is only fair if infantry get a little bit nerf at the end game. Furthermore, no new player nowadays can take the bully in kvk for 1 year or more, because they dont invest on infantry commander. It is a long time to wait for end game. Play infantry, if you are a free to play player, for whatever you play, you're gonna get crushed anyway, so good luck.

you could Run 1st Guan/Alex/Leo 2nd Skippy/Sargon/Mehmed 3rd pakal/harald(free hit to your enemies but kinda slow march) 4th Nevsky/joan 5th Boudica/Zhuge still a solid march if your inf player

Alot of hard core inf players still use pakal and harold on the field. But i agree with Om, have a cav or arch march with you. Running 3 good marches with an expansion boost with your team should be lots of fun
Pak harrald is pretty lame on the field. I skipped both of them. I think Pyrrhus is better than either of them for field purposes by SoC.

Should have made this video a long time ago . Maybe lilith will take notice and give us some infantry to stay viable . I’m technically still infantry main 2 infantry 1 arch 1 cav . But I can easily start leaning towards cav or archers if these next infantry aren’t worth it
considering how "okay" tariq and sargon is and how strong hou and zhuge is, i believe the next infantry is going to break the game

Hi Omniarch, Cheers! I had a question for you. If I am planning to do a 3-1-1 cav march setup with my cav commanders being: Nevsky/Joan, Huo/William and Atilla/Takeda should I still go with Ottoman as a civ? I was just wondering since Atilla/Takeda doesn't do skill damage maybe it would be better to pick a cav focused civ or won't it make a difference?

Would you recommend using 3 cavalry pairs? I was thinking of nevsky,Saladin and xy, william and huo qubing,Joan.
I think Boudicca P should be better option instead of ZGL as the debuff is not only benefitting the 2nd com, it also benefitting other marches. I would invest in boudica then ZGL then pass YSG to Nevsky when get there since YSG is all rounded com.
Infantry is meta civ till kvk 3. the best pair for f2p sun tzu ysg. And spenders have so much options everyone should run inf till soc. only good march outside inf is baibars/CC mina and maybe Thutmose ysg
Alex museum relic arriving has to help his cause. So many people have him expertised already.
In my opinion even if they release another inf as strong as Scipio Prime , still it wouldn't dominate the field .. the reason is pretty obvious marchspeed in a murderball situation its always between the one being chased and the one chasing soo either way inf will lose unlike cavalry it can hit and run and even if you try to put it like in a real life situation the result is also the same the advantage of cavalry is marchspeed vs inf or even archers they dominate the field , a quick entry and exit combined with the cavalry skill tree designed to hit and run. Even as a f2p I would recommend players to use cavalry.
I love how infantry is so bad that in a guide for infantry you suggest building an archer march and a calvary march before the second infantry march 😂
You should build thise three marches no matter what your main troop type

I just entered KVK1 as a low spender and I have been opening gold keys every single day for 90 days and I still haven’t unlocked Charles Martel, these gold keys are so rigged.

I never use Ceaser PVP but hes a great secondary to fill other people's barb fort rallies. Hes got extra troops and march speed. Otherwise, ya hes useless.

Just be cavalry main, at least until you get t5, you can have Germany which matches with cavalry and you get ap recovery and training speed reduction.
Also cavalry is the fastest march so you'll do barbs,forts Faster and an advantage in every game mode like Champions of Olympia.

Can you make a video about how to get more gold sculptures early on? In my opinion for f2p it is very hard to get gold sculptures because you lose many events to spenders.
I think infantry is gonna be a good future investment right now considering how good cavalry is gonna start getting crazy

Guys, honestly I wouldnt even recommend to expertize Scipio, I'd leave him 5551 because those sculptures could go to other marches and I mean you're not going with Guan Yu there so soon and new kingdoms are not recomending investing on Guan Yu so there are no sources of this silence debuff I think....
And the skill dmg buff he gets in the expertize its not 300 gold heads worth it imo

The main problem is, in the past the inf commanders were strong and Tanky compared to other commanders, unfortunately now the cav & arch commanders overpowered the inf commanders significantly, even with good equipments :(

You literally should do nothing in off season. Do not open any chests or keys. Keep all legendary heads. Do not craft anything. As soon as kvk pops then you evaluate and open and spend as necessary. That still does not mean open everything
unfortunatley I am entering kvk 5 with expertise scipio/guan because I decided to be an inf main over 9 months ago. I am too far invested into inf gear/commanders/millitary tech to pivot to something else atm and I will have T5 troops ready for KVK 5. once I get the new inf commander and a finished inf legendary gear set I will move onto to archers with zhuge..or do I work on a second inf march?

We actually need the next Infantry to be a game buster to combat the oversaturation of Cavs. The field is overrun by Cav users so now you just have boring fights with a bunch of Nevsky/Joans crowding the field.
We cav main didnt even cry during kvk 1, Fields are running with cm richard with ysg, our minamoto and caocao cant even scratch in them and now you inf main are crying on SOC? 😂

For 2 years I play on Infantry, I don't feel any difference.
I have Guan Yu/Scripo (5551 both) , Harald/Alext(5551 both) , Naveski/rendom cav and my archers are weak, I use something random and yes my best marches are Infantry soo I use just inf this dies in kvk the others use backup. 😂

More than broken we need sameone with sinergy with the old ones. Like one who takes advantage of guan silence or sargon dmg per turn. Having just 1 op comm to pair with scipi wont change the 1 inf pair meta.

i love inf man but we always have it the hard way 😭
The SINGLE best thing you can do is just hoard keys, to be honest if you are F2P, YSG, still is the best bet, if you just want to deal damage and do nothing else, you can do YSG 5,1,1,1 it's solid, but not the same as maxed one. Then pair it with idk I gues Mehmed and have a good AOE march that has no tanky stats, but still. It is something, then hoard, hoard and again hoard for KvK Season 3, get yourself Scipio to 5,5,1,1 then Joan of Arc, 5,5,1,1 and pair her with Mehmed, Scipio with Appleflaps who you get just for playing the expedition and for YSG get I gues Boudica prime 5,5,1,1 cuz march speed and these are your marches:
Scipio/Appleflaps: AOE + Debuff
Joan of Arc/Mehmed: AOE + Buff
Boudica/YSG: Massive damage
I know Zhuge is better, but you are F2P, you want to get some kills early on, YSG is your best bet, double relic your YSG, Mehmed and Appleflaps (Appleflaps-Aethlehad) and since you got limited sculptures, you have for free Appleflaps and Mehmed, YSG 5,1,1,1 is 50 sculps + Boudica, Joan and Scipio are all 5,5,1,1 wich is another 540 sculptures and since you are F2P and you hoarded correctly, you'd have enough to max one more legendary commander so when LETS SAY, Sun Tzu prime comes in and is by far the best in game, max him and Charles Martel who you worked on trough gold keys or Pyrrhus, come in as secondary to your Inf META boy and you have 2 Inf marches, 1 Cav, 1 Archer, yes it's very cheap and could've been better commanders, but still invest in YSG and then use him.
Commander is never becoming bad, he is always good and there is a place for him in the field IF you use him correctly and with right commander's do you see Guan/Leo a lot today: No, is Leo META Infnatry: No, is he usable and can trade positive when with the right commander: YES!
Infantry TL;DW max Scipio and ignore everyone else until new inf release. Scipio/YSG or Scipio/Mehmed
Meanwhile im useing Charles/richard in season of conquest^^
If next infantry field commander it will be R.I.P. for Infantry ... we need the infantry Zhouge Liang also good for rallies (because Tariq needs a pair ... ) ...
Tariq can be paired with pakal or sargon, they are great rally but infantry needed open field commanders not rally

Only if big spender, wheel is just better to unlock comm. 5511+ Liang is better than ysg, not too expensive. Be careful, zhuge is really slow and needs decent;y fast archer to pair
