Do wonder why you have a good level of English but often have a difficult time understanding native English speakers? In this video, I'm helping you improve your English speaking and listening by teaching you popular types of American Slang: informal contractions. Words like gonna, hafta, wanna, dunno and more and contractions that we use EVERY DAY in American Engilsh and if you DON'T understand when we say these words, you're going to have a more difficult time communicating in an English speaking environment.

You forgot the informal contraction of *Imma/I'mma/Ima* 3 different informal ways to say I'm + going + to for example if I wanna say *I'mma* Starbucks at break time!
Yes, this is very popular in NYC where I'm from, but it's ver specific type of slang. I don't use it, for example. We would say "Imma get Starbucks." Don't forget the verb in the sentence 🙂
@@EnglishwithGabby; I love the use of that informal contraction *I'mma* another of my favourite informal contractions is the use of *ain't* I love it's, it's fascinates me & for the record that I'm not a native speaker of the USA I'm from another country. They say out there that when you aren't a native speaker born in the USA it's sounds very ugly & very lower education to be able to use those types of informal contractions but it doesn't matter to me that I'm not a native speaker of the USA I use them in the same way because I love it, I'm fascinated by the use of *I'mma* & *ain't!*
