    My daughter was a prolapsed cord delivery and her left arm came out too. Needless to say it was an emergency c section. We were both very lucky to be alive. And now she is a beautiful woman celebrating her 21st bday next month. Def a miracle baby 😍😍

    This was fantastic. My sister just had an intrapartum stillbirth just because the attending midwife didn't have expertise in management of a cord prolapse. She kept the mother in lithotomy position until the doctor came in 45 minutes later. By the time the c/s was done, baby had lost her life😢

    please help how do i fill in the bladder?

    • @tiegomaphake4830
      @tiegomaphake4830 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exe, you first empty the bladder with an indwelling catheter, then after you infuse normal saline(500ml) to fill the bladder then you clamp it. This will lift the presenting part compressing the cord be it an arm, head etc. If that fails then consider doing a C-section

      @@tiegomaphake4830 why would you empty bladder if you are going to fill it again?

    • @tiegomaphake4830

      @@tshwanokgosi4574 Not sure of the exact reason but I'm assuming that they don't want to mix different substances in the bladder bcz they don't know the reactions that may occur. It usually is emptied when doing procedures like breech delivery bcz when it's over distended, it can be damaged/can rupture.

      @@tshwanokgosi4574 it's like when a car owner decides to switch fuel type. If he was using diesel and wants to switch to patrol then the car would probably be drained first before they use patrol. It's all liquid, and its all fuel but they are different so nna I'm using that logic

      @@tiegomaphake4830 but in our books state that you must not empty the bladder
