I was always confused by this (became fan in 2007), how exactly was it always known? I mean, there must have been a point when it was first published that they were gay. I remember Tegan telling in an article that they were in a cover of a LGBTQ magazine in Canada in 2000. But I just can't get my head around the idea that even before that it was always somehow known. I guess it really doesn't matter anymore, but this is something that keeps coming up and I'm always confused about it. :)
LOL I think Tegan actually says "I hate you", to Sara, because previously to her in this show she's gotten really pissed off with Sara asking how the audience is doing after every song!
