Hi Simon can you please do a video Sir Nicholas George Winton MBE he was a British humanitarian who helped to rescue jewish children who were at risk from Nazi Germany just months before the start of World War II he saved 669 children all of them would’ve probably have been killed by the Nazis if he hadn’t got them out please do a video on this man thank you Paul.
The fact that even Biographics (which loves listing the less-than-savory parts of a person's life in order to present a fuller picture of who they really were) couldn't find one bad thing to say about Betty White is a true testament to her life and temperament.
It says so much about someone when they died at age 99, and the whole world says it wasnt long enough. Ive always been impressed by her love of all animals and her push for good treatment of them, and her willingness to stand up for whats right.. like how she didnt back down when people were upset she had a black man on her show, and she told them to get over it. She was a great woman.
This was outstanding! I graduated college as a music teacher in June of '79. Living in Dayton, Ohio I couldn't find a job. In August I got a call from the musicains local to play guitar and banjo in a production of Hello Dolly. Betty White was the featured star. It was my first professional gig. I never got to meet her, but I heard her sing and act from the pit. Thank you for a great memory.
“I don’t know how people get so anti-something. Just mind your business, take care of your own affairs, and don’t worry about other people so much “ Betty White
First Biographics that I teared up! I watched the Golden Girls every Saturday on NBC when I was a kid. When she passed, by teenaged children were sad about it because they saw what a gift Betty White was. I'm so glad that you made this one! I clicked on it the moment I saw it! Betty White was everyone's friend!
Betty White is the reason i don't give passes to older people's racism. The "well it was a different time" excuse is that, an excuse. Betty grew up in that time and set the tone for the rest of her life, and she shouldn't be considered the exception, but the example of how people should be.
And also Julie Andrews! She is and has always been a gem. If you look at her older interviews she was the same as she is today, just younger and less experienced. Her heart was the same and it shows.
My grandparents adored her in Golden Girls. During my childhood, anytime they came down from the Akron area, we'd turn on Betty and the gals right after the morning news. I'll always love her for her other roles and her activism, but that show will always hold a place in my heart.
Betty White and Robin Williams are the only two "celebrity" deaths that brought about sadness. Two very different people yet both gifts to humanity if you ask me.
R.I.P. Betty. I just realized how this woman, no this literal star💫, was so important to my perception of “having faith in your fellow man.” And seeing her live that experience.
She really was legendary. I remember my first thought after hearing her pass was "Someone check on Ryan Reynolds and make sure he's okay." I grew up watching Golden Girls, and it never would have been the same without her.
The BEST comedic actress that I have ever seen. I loved her in Golden Girls! She had a natural wit and such a genuine kindness that everybody loved. You are sorely missed Betty, thank you for being a friend! RIP!
Humbly requesting George Carlin. A comedian and satirist who oftentimes hit the nail more than just on the head; and whose bits were infinitely more than just satire. The guy was a comedian, satirist, begrudged philosopher, and even the narrative voice of Thomas the Train.
Okay why am I tearing up after this? Probably because I still watch The Golden Girls regularly and have seen some episodes so many times that I can quote them word for word. Also, her role on The Bold and the Beautiful was simply chilling. What a legend.
I had the honor of working with Betty White on a movie! She was an amazing person to be around and such a great sense of humor! It was an honor to know her. RIP 🙏🏾❤️
Betty White was a goddamn national treasure. I cheerfully jumped in on that whole "donate money to an animal shelter for Betty's 100th" thing and gave $100 to a local no-kill pittie shelter in her honor. I may make it an annual event. RIP to an absolute Legend.
She was on SNL a few years back on Mothers Day Weekend. One of the funniest shows they ever did after Gilda, Lorraine, Jane and the Not Ready For Prime Time Players! Hilarious!
She was truly amazing and beautiful. She did so much to move Hollywood and even the world forward. I'm glad she choose to chase the dream. The world wouldn't be the same if not for her
I got through about 40 seconds of the intro to this video and immediately broke down crying, then had to gather myself before continuing... This woman was unlike anyone else who ever lived!
I like to think that when Betty White walked through the golden gates, the first person to greet her was her beloved husband, Allen. While I personally haven't seen much of her work, this video has quickly changed my mind. May Betty White rest in peace.
This one might be a bit out there, but could you do one on Bartolommeo de Las Casas? He was a catholic priest who is considered one of the earliest civil rights activists, and he did a lot to help the natives living under Spanish occupation
I was born in 96, I still remember The Golden Girl reruns popping up in the early 00s' and I couldnt help but laugh at this old lady, she was truly special.
For those that think racism, homophobia etc is to do with age, Betty White was there fighting from a young age. God bless her. And there is no better testimony to her life than the outpouring of love as her passing.
Betty White never died. She lives on in our hearts, and, for those of us blessed to have seen her on both the small screen and the silver screen in our childhoods, our memories. Even so, her physical death was, indeed, too soon. We are better for her sharp wit, ardent support of marginalized groups, and her love for her devoted fans. We love you, Betty, and we miss you.
I remember sitting at school eating lunch and I said to my mate " Want to hangout tonight" His exact words "Can't Golden Girls is on" Being a 10yo at the time, I laughed. That night I watched Golden Girls and pissed myself. Didn't miss an episode from then. My favourite character, Betty White.
a ghost must be cutting onions near me. This was an amazing video , thank you for all the great work you do Simon (Fact Boi). Betty was an amazing woman and the like of which we may never see again. Also Ryan Reynolds named his daughter after Miss Betty.
Betty White is a truly one of a kind human being. We are so lucky to have gotten to experience her in our lives. She will be dearly missed but I'm so happy her and Allan have once again been reunited
Been waiting for this one since she passed. Betty White was an amazing woman, I felt her death in a way I didn't for pretty much any celebrity death. Golden Girls is one of the first shows I can remember watching as a kid, and Betty was so funny as Rose.
Betty White’s passing was proof that even Goddesses can die. I advocated for several years for her to be a Kennedy Center Honoree. Since they don’t make those posthumously, it is one deserving award she won’t receive.
I was so lucky to have grown up with Mrs. White on my TV screen. Even in her 90s, she was a firecracker. I wish I could have met her, and just talked about anything for a minute.
Crying over the death of a celebrity seems weird. I mean, it's weird to mourn someone you never actually met but Robin and Betty got me. RIP y'all. Thank you for being a friend.
Betty White, undeniably and absolutely legend. There is and old saying that embodies her in its cheekyness. Sliced bread is the best thing since Betty White.

Please do Booker T. Washington next
Simon when will you pay off Danks hard work and do the Carlin episode. It will be a cool moment for everyone.
"She lived her live the way everyone should strive to live theirs" I would absolutely LOVE to live my life as a fabulously wealthy old lady
Please talk about the shinsegumi members, Date Masemune or Kawakami Gensai. Please, love your vids
Her last words were "Allen." I'm crying. Their love was so beautiful.
I'm not crying. Someone on my block must be chopping onions and that's why I can't see my keyboard. 😭
The fact that even Biographics (which loves listing the less-than-savory parts of a person's life in order to present a fuller picture of who they really were) couldn't find one bad thing to say about Betty White is a true testament to her life and temperament.
She lived her life to the fullest, we were glad to have you as a friend Betty.
💯
She wasn’t your friend. It’s creepy to pretend like strangers are your friend
She wasn't kidding, "when you had the best, who needs the rest?", completely true to her last word. RIP Betty White man.
I loved Betty White. Seeing her in Lake Placid scrambled my brain hearing her cuss. It was like hearing my Grandmother cuss.
Okay, now you've got me really wanting to watch "Lake Placid." lol
Betty White is the *only* reason to watch Lake Placid. She absolutely owns every scene she's in.
She was perfect for that role!
Lol hearing my grandmother not swearing was a shock lmao.

Absolutely
Hear hear! ✊🏾

I cried for the whole day when I found out she had passed. She was a true legend. Ive donated to the RSPA every month since then. I LOVE YOU BETTY❤
Same. I thought it was a cruel joke. I wanted it to be false so bad. But one by one news channels started reporting it & I just cried.
Me too. 2022 started horribly, her dying just the day before... it was like a punch in the stomach.
I cried watching this.. much luV ~
Local humane society for me, where we'd gotten our rescue kitty just a few months before. Damn, worst new year's eve ever
Same.

@Jeffrey Droog You have issues. Get over taking everything literally.
A video on Lucille Ball would be great too, another woman who dominated in Hollywood back in the day.
I'm so excited you did a Betty White biography! You did an amazing biography on an amazing woman!

Love george!!

It was an honor to know her. RIP 🙏🏾❤️
I like these nice biographies of people that did not commit murder or smuggle drugs or commit major felonies. They're a nice change of pace.
I grew up loving her but this just made me love her more! What a woman!!!
I miss her so much she reminded me of my great grandmother she died at 99 as well also had the same attitude and moxy as Betty

Thank you for this... Love love love Betty White. Such a class act. May she rest well with Allen.
Artie Duncan had a regular gig with Lawrence Welk for many years. I still enjoy him in reruns!
She was on SNL a few years back on Mothers Day Weekend. One of the funniest shows they ever did after Gilda, Lorraine, Jane and the Not Ready For Prime Time Players! Hilarious!
Such an amazing talent! Betty, thank you for the laughter. We miss you.
Few celebrity deaths made me cry. This was one of them.
I was able to enjoy her antics, smile, and the laughs my whole life being in the 1960s. She is, and forever will be, our National Treasure. 💕💕
All I can say is "thank you for being a friend" Betty White.
She was truly amazing and beautiful. She did so much to move Hollywood and even the world forward. I'm glad she choose to chase the dream. The world wouldn't be the same if not for her

Humbly requesting Joan Jett .. loved this one on Betty, bless her soul 🖤 Really was a beautiful person in and out, what a set of memories she left us.
I enjoyed this. It had a real "Betty White, this is your life" feeling
Even now, there are re-runs of the Password series on channels that specialize in old gameshows.
What a beautiful tribute. Thank you ❤️
For those that think racism, homophobia etc is to do with age, Betty White was there fighting from a young age. God bless her. And there is no better testimony to her life than the outpouring of love as her passing.
Excellent tribute to an amazing woman.
she was a guiding light a true star to the end. I love her.

Betty White is a truly one of a kind human being. We are so lucky to have gotten to experience her in our lives.
She will be dearly missed but I'm so happy her and Allan have once again been reunited
If I only ever have 1/10 the love Betty and Allen had, in my life, I will consider it a life lived full of love
I didn’t want to cry today. I wasn’t ready.
She truly was America's Grandma. She reminded me of my own Nanna who would have been close to the age of Betty White...
A truly awesome episode, much respect dear chap
Very well done, Simon-seriously... Somehow you managed to make me like this woman even more.
Omg I miss her so much! 😣😣 Betty you where one of the very best of humanity. You are deeply missed!!
Too soon! Love her, thank you for this tribute, Simon.
The UK has Elizabeth.
We in the US have Betty.
Both long reigning queens.
We had her for nearly 100 years. And it still feels like we lost her too soon.
Well done, Simon!! What a wonderful way to honor & praise this icon!!
@Craig Donavant I’m doing well, how are you?
I was privileged to be able to watch this wonderful woman entertain the world. I cried when I heard the news.
That show showed me how I want to be as I grow older. At 50 I'm having fun starting this. She is who I want to be when I grow up.
Rest in peace... "grandma"
Been waiting for this one since she passed. Betty White was an amazing woman, I felt her death in a way I didn't for pretty much any celebrity death.
Golden Girls is one of the first shows I can remember watching as a kid, and Betty was so funny as Rose.
She is a LEGEND, both professionally and as a human being.
This video reminds me that I still miss Betty White. She was one-of-a-kind. 🥺
RIP Betty, we miss you. You were a grandmother to all of us
I miss Grandma Betty. She was a national treasure.
Betty White was a legend. Completely one of a kind.
Betty White is generational! My mom, me and my daughter, all love her for our own reasons
This was wonderful. Thank you. I wonder if you would ever do one for Carrie Fisher
Correction. It was weeks not months away from her birthday when she died. December 31st was her death and January 17th is her birthday
Remember when Betty White fed her husband to the alligator in 'Lake Placid'? It's a mainstay in our family. She was a great Lady.
Betty White was great on those game shows , she was very smart
She seemed like such a wonderful person and I will forever be a fan
Betty White’s passing was proof that even Goddesses can die. I advocated for several years for her to be a Kennedy Center Honoree. Since they don’t make those posthumously, it is one deserving award she won’t receive.
Incredibly, Arthur Duncan just passed away on Jan. 4th, 2023, at the age of 97!
An amazing story on an amazing woman. Good job!!
My favorite movie of hers was Lake Placid. She was just hands down funny delivering those lines with a straight face.
Only two people on earth that can pass away while we all cry that we need them now more than ever.
Betty white and sir david attenborough.
I remember the first time I saw her. She was Kitty's mom on That 70s show.
I was so lucky to have grown up with Mrs. White on my TV screen. Even in her 90s, she was a firecracker. I wish I could have met her, and just talked about anything for a minute.
Thanks for this, Simon and team. It really turned the feels up to 11. Gone too soon...
Oh Damn, the feels. Thanks for that Simon!
Thank you for being a friend, Betty. You are the best. ❤
I have never clicked a Biographics video quicker.
Such a cheerful actress
A cheerful actress is TIGHT.
YES SIR INDEED
Haven't even gotten through the ads and I know this is my favorite video you've made.
Her role in Lake placid is one of all time favs
Days* away from her 100th birthday. She was incredible. Would be lucky to live half the life she lived. Great video. Thanks pal.
Yep, she passed just 2 1/2 weeks shy of 100 :(
I adore Betty White!!! So nice and pleasant with a slight devilish side. Her love of all living creatures is a approach we all should take.
Crying over the death of a celebrity seems weird. I mean, it's weird to mourn someone you never actually met but Robin and Betty got me. RIP y'all. Thank you for being a friend.
@Craig Donavant I can't complain. Christina, btw. How are you, Craig?
@Craig Donavant Hot. Everything is hot lol I'm from a northern suburb of Chicago....I'm sure Alabama is much hotter but damn....this is hot.
@Craig Donavant likewise
@Craig Donavant Yep :) Chicago born and raised. You? Always Alabama?
Great person to cover. This was very impressive writing considering how recently we sadly loss the showbiz GMA of our nation.
Betty White, undeniably and absolutely legend.
There is and old saying that embodies her in its cheekyness. Sliced bread is the best thing since Betty White.
Betty and Allen were the second TV power couple, after Lucy and Desi.
