I love that you pointed out the Trojan horses! They're actually my favorite set element in this specific video. I've been into k-pop for a decade now, and sometimes the sets are just filled with props that look cool, but Blackpink usually has props with symbolism that relates to the message of the song itself (see: Lisa's cereal scene in Kill This Love bc she's a cereal (serial) killer, get it?) The symbol of the Trojan horse plays into the idea of appearances being deceptive, the perceived loss and retreat before the army bursts out of the horses and slaughters the city. And we get that from the soft, slow 1st verse, the lyrics about heartbreak, hitting rock bottom... then the twist as we move into the chorus: "Laugh all you want while you still can / Because it's about to be your turn, 1,2,3 / HOW YOU LIKE THAT?" It's so GOOD. I'm such a nerd for this shit; like I LOVE when the arrangement of the song matches the mood and tone of the lyrics, and then the visuals add another layer of meaning on top of that? it's *chef's kiss* Totally different genre within k-pop but I Will Show You by Ailee is another great example of the song's arrangement telling the same story as the music, with a similar mood flip

@@OhrionReacts Not sure if they're you're cup of tea though. But the biggest reason I like the group is because of Soyeon, the leader/rapper/dancer of the group. As a child, she tried to get into kpop using dancing skills despite not having permission from her mother. After 30+ fails, she decided to learn rapping on her own. This got her into a couple of competitions in the kpop industry (Produce 101 and Unpretty Rapstar season 3) and was later signed by Cube Entertainment. She then wrote and composed a couple of songs at just 19 years old before G-Idle was formed. She still write (sometimes co-write with Minnie, another member) and compose most of G-Idle songs. There's only a few that are done by the studio.
Thank you so much for reacting!!! Try their bandmate!! Big Bang -Bang Bang Bang or their other music videos like Ddu Ddu du.. check out their channel as well.. actually.. they build the whole sets!! Teddy Park is the one that produce most of their songs..

Jisoo’s voice is really much more appreciated by international fans and reviewers 🥰 Also, they don’t use green screen in their videos. All of those are actual sets.
You should maybe also check out "Take Off" by WayV. They're a chinese language based K-Pop group (once you understand the framework of K-Pop you will agree that they're not doing C-Pop) and they do provide some sick transitions in their MVs. Not sure if you like their music, but you should give it a try maybe!

sounds like it’s in phrygian dominant to me which is used in latin and arabic genres and it gives it this foreign flavor which they blend with k-pop and for whatever reason it works so well
In case no one has mentioned it yet, they were recognized by Guinness for holding 5 records when they dropped this video. Also, they were wearing a modernized version of the traditional Korean dress called Hanbok in the final dance break.
You should react to Monsta X! They have a lot of great songs but definitely check out: Shoot Out , Alligator, Fantasia, and their most recent comback Love Killa!
In K-POP, you are looking at corporate idol groups that are meant to encompass the different preferences of the audience. K-POP used to be domestic, but as it gained more traction in USA the corporations behind the groups saw the prospect of adapting more of the American pop culture (which in 2019 was greatly focused on club, then rap, and ultimately mumble-rap (with vines/tiktok being a great part of the youthful pop culture)). Natural progression of business. Even before this shift, K-POP included English words/terms that are familiar to most (in South Korea/Japan/other parts of the world) to add an element of familiarity to the otherwise "extravagant" visuals/fashion that come with the genre/industry. How I like that? Not much, to be honest. The opening line is cool as it acts as a tip of the hat to their former hits, but the song itself is a "nah". I'm no massive K-POP fan, but there are a ton of really sweet songs within the genre. Unfortunately, they are buried in the corporate mountain of generic "not so good" that seem to come with pop culture. My take on the song, a large portion of the genre, and especially the business idea that is music. Sorry bout the length of the post. Like for Ryan 👍 Have a nice day!

1.Justin Bieber
2.Blackpink
3.Marshmallow
4.Ed Sheeran
5.Eminem
And i recomandes you to see the live concert or live performance on Coachella but you have to see all their MV and listening their music first. Your gonna be on different level bro. I promised.
I want to be on this level!!!
I love that you pointed out the Trojan horses! They're actually my favorite set element in this specific video. I've been into k-pop for a decade now, and sometimes the sets are just filled with props that look cool, but Blackpink usually has props with symbolism that relates to the message of the song itself (see: Lisa's cereal scene in Kill This Love bc she's a cereal (serial) killer, get it?)
The symbol of the Trojan horse plays into the idea of appearances being deceptive, the perceived loss and retreat before the army bursts out of the horses and slaughters the city. And we get that from the soft, slow 1st verse, the lyrics about heartbreak, hitting rock bottom... then the twist as we move into the chorus: "Laugh all you want while you still can / Because it's about to be your turn, 1,2,3 / HOW YOU LIKE THAT?"
It's so GOOD. I'm such a nerd for this shit; like I LOVE when the arrangement of the song matches the mood and tone of the lyrics, and then the visuals add another layer of meaning on top of that? it's *chef's kiss*
Totally different genre within k-pop but I Will Show You by Ailee is another great example of the song's arrangement telling the same story as the music, with a similar mood flip
Bro Blackpink never use CGI. They only use in their song Whistle(debut song). The rest their insane production.
They have badass side(black) and girly side (pink). Please check next:-
Ddu du ddu du
Kill this love
Boombayah
Whistle
You can react also their coachella performance ddu du ddu du and they covered "sure things" by miguel

They said, "bring out the boss...bi tch" and those are trojan horses. Fyi no cgi or green screens. They build all their sets
Amazing 🤘🔥
Blackpink doesn’t use a green screen. Their behind the scene videos for their music videos proves this.
Blackpink: "what is this "greenscreen" everybody is talking about? is that some kind of suncream brand from namek?
NO CGI/GREEN SCREEN in all their MVs except for whistle
check blackpink's
KILL THIS LOVE
DDU DU DDU DU

PRETTY SAVAGE live performance
LOUD NOISES!!!
All BLACKPINK MV's have real Backgrounds. They haven't used a single green screen in their MVs

@@xchnnn it's not green screen
@@youfckingidiot9893 is it for the earth thing they are not sitting on the circle it's is flat thing
except WHISTLE's MV
You should watch the *Making Video of How You Like That*
It shows you the behind the scenes and you get to see how everything is made and there is no green screen! You also get to see their real life personalities, they're sctually big goofs!
BLACKPINK is "EPICNESS" in human form. It's like the aren't real people, but these awesome anime superheroes! React to more BP please. Join us "Blinks".... you're on your way.
Ohh I like the way you think Kelly!
They are so fluent in English. Only one member, Jisoo (2:11) is born and raised in Korea. Lisa, the rapper, is from Thailand, Jennie (2:05) was raised in New Zeland and Rosè (3:01) is born in New Zeland, but raised in Australia. XOXO from Italy
I'm glad super glad your going this route! I need more metal in my life but also been wanting to check out K-pop. Only heard Blacklick so far but much so thanks😀.
If you like this MV, and think is big budget, wait untill you check their other MV, "kill this love" and "ddu du ddu du"
I honestly can't WAITTT
Metalcore, deathcore, nu-metal fan and also definitely a kpop fan here😂

Looking forward to all your blackpink reaction songs!!!! Enjoy the journey bruh and welcome to the blackpink world 🥳
Thank you! I laughed in this lousy day. I like your style.
I live in Minnesota and we definitely do not wear those outfits in the snow/cold lol
It might sound weird but metal and k-pop are my favorite music genres and I'm so excited that you're also discovering k-pop on your channel now! I'm hyped! I think you would also enjoy BLACKPINKs song called "Kill This Love". And you already checked out my favorite k-pop group Stray Kids. You gonna enjoy all of their stuff aswell, I'm pretty sure about that. Keep 'em coming bud!
Been seeing a lot of metalheads say this. I LOVE IT let's get it buds! 🤘🔥
Subscribed! 🙂 really enjoyed your fun honest reaction.
Thanks girl :) that truely means a lot. Thanks for the sub and watching 🤘
Thank you for reacting to BLACKPINK! Blinks will support you from now on!
Haha. It's "bring out your boss, bit*h." that's the line at the near-end of the song
Got it haha
fun fact! no CGI at all in all their M/V’s. They have behind the scenes content when it comes to M/Vs
Blackpink: HA, HOW YOU LIKE THAT?!😎😏
Me: Yeh I like it😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
YES THIS SONG IS SO COOL! This is my fav blackpink song!
Btw This is the most watched video in 24 hours on yt by a girlgroup, btw
They are also the first kpop group to have a documentary on Netflix "Light up the sky"
The girl that said Blackpink in your area and spitted bars is Lisa she always has bangs.. almost, She is the lead rapper and the main dancer
Jennie is the one with black hair and .. withe or light brow bangs
Rosé is the one with blue hair
Jisoo is the one with the red dress
Jisoo the visual of the group and lead vocal
Jennie the main rapper and lead vocalist
Rosé main vocalist and lead dancer Lisa the main dancer and lead rapper
Lisa is the youngest
And Jisoo the oldest... the documentary is 1 hour long but is worth it! In 2020 they had their first full album! The songs are amazing!!! I see u love heavy and punch songs with crazy drop like how you like that, so pretty savage is an amaizng song, this song doesnt have M/V (music video) so Pretty savage colored lyrics the best option.... or their performaces....
HOLY CRAB! Sorry for the giant comment
01:40 05:33 Jennie
06:19 02:07 Jisoo
02:15 07:39 Rosé
04:05 04:35 Lisa
Haha don't be sorry! Thanks for watching!! 🤘🔥 Love the comment. Thank you!
@@leonidasneves7972 I like that you mentioned the Color Coded Lyric videos! Just please keep in mind, those are not on the official channel, there are fan channels that do that kind of thing (VERY DEVOTED fans who do a hell of a job at it!). :)
@@jamescurfman3284 yes I know
But the pretty savage color coded video by Jaeguchi is the best one
I mean is the only one with the right lines
LISA Rap 👑
8:37 "Bring out the Puppet?" Oh god I don't know why it made me laugh soooo hard🤣
I'm also a metal fan and there live video of "kill this love" at coachella has distorted guitar, I think you should check it out
You got it!! Thanks for dropping by!
You’re going to like Blackpink’s Lovesick Girls bruh.
Yikes! Lol
This is such a good point
@@OhrionReacts It has a pop rock element on it bro.
Love Babymetal love Blackpink.. love The HU.. now if all three could Collab...
Rosé solo will release in a month or two. please look forward to it!

After watching all their MVs trust me you'll want to watch their live performances They use a live band I think you can appreciate that
I can! Can't wait 🤘🔥
This probably is the most amazing MV of the whole industry.
And they almost NEVER use CG, it's all the real stuff!
I❤️ thizvid.

I like that
I try to be :) bed time reads haha much love 🤘🔥
Jennie(brown and blonde hair) Main Rapper/ Lead vocals
Jisoo(long brown hair) lead Vocals/ Visual(Visual means meets Korean beauty standards)-unofficial and in my opinion she is the Leader, lead rapper
Rosé (platinum hair) Main Vocalist, Lead Dancer
Lisa(the one who always has bangs) Main dancer, Lead rapper, sub-vocalist
Thanks for coming in clutch there @Tim!
Facr : No cgi or greenscreen in blackpink music videos. All is real
Dont forget watch THE ALBUM BLACKPINK

- CRAZY OVER YOU
- HOW YOU LOVE TO HATE ME

you should hear the whole album!
thanks so much for the reaction!! but i cannot stop laughing at the comparison to the song Witch Doctor (04:09 or smth)
Haha glad you got to smile here thanks for watching 🤘🔥
When you said “bring out the puppet?” All confused lol I died 😂😂
Only BLACKPINK's tracks can enter my playlist that full of old-fashion metal/rock ( especially 80's-90's).
Amongst Deep Purple, Rolling Stones, Queen, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Nirvana, Kreator, Metallica, GN'R etc.... there's BLACKPINK tracks also.
NO CGI ALL REAL SETS !!!! 🔥🔥
So 🔥🔥🔥
I think you my light NCT 127's song Kick It!
You might also like DAY6 who are a K-Rock band (not heavy metal but they make fantastic music)
-Shoot Me
-I wait
-how can I say
-Sweet Chaos
Much love! I must check it out 🤘🔥
Love them! I was here for the metal reactions. Still am. But I am also here for the kpop reactions. 😄
Let's get itttttt
Clicked on the video to support a fellow Canadian. Stayed because it’s so Canadian it feels like home.
Yaaaay BP🙌💛💛.
Let's goooo!
Dude, Band-Maid, Babymetal, Dreamcatcher, Blackpink... hitting all my favorites. If you hit G-Idle next I'm gonna be a little suspicious.
We can hit that G spot.... 🤫
New subscriber here. Love the reaction and you'll surely love their live performances, they perform with live band and also there are metal cover for how you like that.
I'm excited 🤘🔥 thanks for checking it out with us!
There is no green screne. All scene is reall. Check out behind the scene plss.
Will do!
@@OhrionReacts blackpink 24/365 ep 2 is more better,is the full making film, is fire, you need to see, don't forget to turn the caption
K (Korean) POP 🤯
You learn something new today
Check out their dance performance of how you like that it has over 500 million views and it’s the first act to do so!!
And another dance performance for their Four Year Anniversary video, where they danced in Disney costumes!!! :D
Jisoo’s voice is really much more appreciated by international fans and reviewers 🥰
Also, they don’t use green screen in their videos. All of those are actual sets.
Loving itttt
Those are Trojan Horses - There’s actually a lot of Greek mythologies in this MV
NEXT: THE REVOLUTION A STORY OF BLACKPINK PLEASE
Story time?!
that video is out of date, does not have the achievements of The album
@@keshvandenberg8260 true
@@OhrionReacts Yes, story time. Also helps you to get acquainted with the ladies so you know which one is which and helps you get their names straight (actually, that took me a while...). I have been a fan of theirs since How You Like That came out, totally missed the boat in 2016. I WISH I had taken a look earlier!
Haha😂😂
No CGI, No Green Screen on all of their videos. You are not the only one pausing whenever they react to their M/V
6:55 actually no CGI in BLACKPINK's music video (except for their debut song WHISTLE) - YF is rich af therefore their production value is like crazy.
Yo!, don't ever tryin' to watch BLACKPINK'S MVs, or you'll get obsessed :D
Or if you want, please react to their debuted MVs, Whistle and Boombayah :)
WAIT has nobody told you about "Dreamcatcher"? they are a female kpop group with metal influences you will love im sure GO CHECK THEM OUT
I REALLY REALLY RECOMMEND watching their other MV's especially "Boombayah" and "Kill this Love" since you are a metalhead. Please also react to that! I really love your reaction vid and please do more blackpink. I'm sure you will love all of them, blackpink is different from other kpop groups. And I just wanted to say this sooner... they don't use green screen or CGI on their MV's... cuz their rich as fudge and the quality of their MV's are top notch!
I love your reaction so much! It’s obvious that you like music! I hope you will react to more!
The opening: that is the black side of Blackpink...dark savage. The singing is the pink side. Pretty, soft. Light and shade throughout. In order of appearance: Jennie, Jisoo, Rose' and Lisa
Thanks for being open to different types of music! Ateez is an amazing group that has many songs that would most likely suit your taste in music, so you should really check out their songs; Hala Hala, Pirate king, Wonderland, Answer, and many more :)
How you like that, well i really love your reactions sooo much also enjoy it all the time watching you. Keep going you’re the best, please react more ❤️❤️
Thank you so much! That means a lot. 🤘🔥 Been working really hard on the channel
@@OhrionReacts you deserve everything for your hard work, stay focus on what you love ❤️. A lot of love from Morocco 🤟🏽
she said "bring out the boss b*tch" xD but it was funny what you heard lmaoo
sounds like it’s in phrygian dominant to me which is used in latin and arabic genres and it gives it this foreign flavor which they blend with k-pop and for whatever reason it works so well
Btw all the sets are real.. No CGI.. U can check out their mv making film
They tour with a live band so their live concerts are really good!
please react to *A CRACK GUIDE TO BLACKPINK 2020* 🖤💗
If you want to hear BlackPink's live performance, you can watch their live at Cochella 2019.
They sang two songs live as metal versions.
when i first got into them, i was SO confused learning who was who because they kept changing their hair colors!
React to *Bombayah* next. It's their debut song with more than a billion views which has made a record for most viewed debute
FUN-FACT: BLACKPINK NEVER USES GREEN SCREEN ON THEIR MUSIC VIDEOS😘 👌
I love itttt 🤘🔥 soon wicked
The trains in As if it's your last though? I'm pretty sure that's green screen.
Or is it a screen? I don't even know tbh
@@luisenriquefigueroa4439 it's a CGI. And they also used it in Whistle (the world scene of Rosé)
@@luisenriquefigueroa4439 the trains in aiiyl was actually a screen
In case no one has mentioned it yet, they were recognized by Guinness for holding 5 records when they dropped this video. Also, they were wearing a modernized version of the traditional Korean dress called Hanbok in the final dance break.
You should react to Monsta X!
They have a lot of great songs but definitely check out:
Shoot Out , Alligator, Fantasia, and their most recent comback Love Killa!
.....just wait to see them live my man. I was shooketh. Ddu du Ddu du at Coachella is a much watch for you.
Thanks for reaction to BLACKPINK! They have 3 MV above 1 BILLION+ views. Please try.

BOOMBAYAH
Like for Ryan 👍
Have a nice day!
BLACK is the colour which represents their strong and savage side and PINK represents their soft and girly side and so they named it together BLACKPINK which also reflects their personalities
That makes more sense haha
