I believe Dottie must have been put on earth to write about Jesus. She wrote so many wonderful wonderful songs about Him. I know Reba has to miss her so much. Truly Dottie was a minister. Ministers speak the word but Dottie wrote and sang the Word. Love you Dottie
i only know this song because of Vickie Winans. i have always been a fan of the gaither music ministry (as a kid i got a kick out of white people singing songs that we sang at my church but with a country western twist) but to know she wrote this is REALLY COOL
God gave Dottie Rambo beautiful, wonderful talent, & it has blessed many. She is now in heaven beholding him, & she's one I look forward to seeing there.
I have always loved and still 1980s and 1990s Christian and Country music. I am just very sorry we have lost both Dottie's, Dottie Rambo and Dottie West. God Bless - Jason.
I first saw Ms. Dottie on TBN years ago. I always admired her and meat to write her and now wish I had. I too have suffered greatly in my life and have written under inspiration many songs the Lord gave me to write. God is the great Creator and deserves all Glory and honor and praise. I know Ms. Dottie would say the same. A lot of performers loved Dottie Rambo including Elvis and Barbara Mandrell and Dolly Pardon. And I loved her. She was a treasure. I wish I had met her. I loved Ms. Dottie.
I remember Dottie on the TBN show, i thought to myself what a voice that women has. I thank God for her music LOTS OF LOVE 4 EVER we miss you two years latter Dottie
The dead in Christ are resting in the grave, awaiting the sound of the trumpet of His coming. The sleeping shall rise from their slumbering place. She is not in heaven right now. Her breath went back to God, her body is in the grave.
We will miss you Dottie! I'm sure you are in awe as you now BEHOLD him! Thank you for all the songs of encouragement! Randy Templin Texas Tabernacle of Praise Lewisville Texas
As a child I sang many of your songs. I am sorry I didn't Get to know you until you had gone home for your rest. You Absolutely were Anointed By God him self. I look forward to meeting you one fine day when I get to Heaven.❤❤❤❤
I have never read anything about Dottie's mother being deaf, but she was blind in one eye and had poor eyesight in the other one. I have never read anything, either, about when or why Dottie learned sign language, but I sure do like to watch her sign her songs.
Her daddy told her when she was 12 years old , that if she was going to be a Christian, she couldn't live in his house. He put her on a bus with a little suitcase and her guitar. Her mother was there, bu couldn't do anything about it. I know this story is true, because I heard her tell the story at a church here in my town. I really Don't know how she could have serviced without the Lord. Don't you know that mother's heart was breaking!
Tde most beautiful Christian song ever written from the heart and pen of that precious saint, Dottie Rambo. Rest Ib Peace Dottie. Will meet you at the forever praisegathering. Look for me.
Dottie is one of my favorite singer and songwriter. I could never get tired of hearing her music. She sings with an awesome anointing. What an incredible songwriter. I know that she is resting in the loving arms of Jesus!
" Thank you Dottie - for : Creating this ' beautiful song '" ; Sung by a ' beautiful little Cherokee woman ' ; In a ' beautiful dress ' ; For : ' us ' and ' Our Beautiful Savior and Lord '" !!!
Me and my two friends were tree up was a trio in our church and we sing her songs or their songs for years and there's nobody with such a voice and anointing like her
I am white and I saw Dottie when she came to San Antonio at Alamo City Christian fellowship and I have such fond memories of her. I treasure the few hours I listened to her. The little frail woman and her Tour Bus. Oh what Glory to be in her presence those few hours. That guitar and raspy voice.
@michaiarki you are right race has nothing to do with it. I am a 50 year old white lady and I love black gosple music it is my favorite. God loves praise regardless of who or what we are
beautiful done Dottie! Dollie seeing JesuChrist today! She passed away today. She has a beautiful voice! thank you for blessing us! She died on a bus trip today! we will miss you. But we will see you in heaven! Promise!
@redeemedone40 Dottie was one of the greatest song writers and most powerful singers we ever knew. This was when she was at some of her best before she became very ill. Such Holy Spirit, yes.
I love the story that Dotie told about her angel room, how many people in todays time could say that, or have the heart for the angels to keep dancing around and give her the songs.
Yes, I agree with you. It is such an inpiration to see Dottie in this video singing her own composed piece. I have seen versions sung by Sandi Patti and several other gospel singers , but none like this.

Rest in peace Dottie Rambo. I shall miss you. You are resting in the arms of God now. Well done my sister. We will always love you and appreciate all of your heavenly music. What a gift from God you were.
Dottie wrote about 2,500 songs. Franz Schubert (1797-1828) wrote about 600 songs. My thinking is that when Dottie got to heaven and encountered Schubert, she said to him, "Franz, I wrote more than four times as many songs as you did, mainly because I had an extra forty years. But your music was always much better than mine".
What a rich blessing Dottie imparts in this song. And to see Ben Kinchlow at the end praising God with the others took me back to earlier days with Jesus. I look for the day those of us, His Body here now, will join those who've gone before and will together behold Him face to face. What a rich and glorious heritage we have. To God be the glory. ♥️✝️🎶
This woman was pure love! You just had to know her! I saw her with Donnie and Reba at Life Fellowship Church in Nashville back in 1991. Her eyes must be shining like fire now in Heaven. She just oozed the Love of God! Elvis loved her dearly and she inspired many of his gospel songs. They used to sit together and sing, she said.
Mrs. Dottie Rambo was truly anointed and used her gift to honor her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I love so many of her soul stirring songs, especially "We Shall Behold Him." It was only recently that I learned she wrote so many of the songs that I love so dearly. May God bless you, Mrs. Rambo, as you rest in the Father's loving arms. I have no doubt that you are in His presence.
Kathryn Kuhlman, passed away passed away around the time that I lived in Tulsa Oklahoma (February 20, 1976). At the time, I couldn't understand why I was so interested in her, I was about 10 years old. We had been living in Oklahoma in 1974 thru close to the end of 1975. We were moving back to Southern California to back to the Los Angeles area. I remember Kathryn being in the news. In LA, TBN was just a weak channel out of Santa Ana, I don’t know how I found their snowy picture on tv, but there it was channel 40, TBN's first. I got saved that day. TBN would play old Kathryn Kuhlman, and of course Dotty Rambo was a regular. I remember my youngest brother getting saved years later, of course mom was, I believe my middle brother is, and still praying for my family and my dad, because I'm not sure. Too many years since I've seen most of them.
Pardon the repeat statements within some of the sentences, I was listening to Dottie Rambo sing this. Deleting and rewriting would be difficult. I didn't write this down on paper first. I am nearly 60 years old.
I got saved in 1979, watching a snowy picture of TBN, in the San Fernando Valley. I can remember Paul Crouch being amazed that the technicians got the picture over the mountains. "God can move a mountain," he said more then once over the years.
Does anyone remember or have any recordings or videos of Dottie many years ago at the Louisiana United Pentecostal Camp Meeting? I would love to see some old footage like that. She is a Jewel
@GlorifyHim888 WELL I GUESS "IT IS IN THE EYES OF THE BEHOLDER" no pun intended! my non-Christian hubby watched the clip with me..Dottie was in praise mode (as always) i replayed it a few times, slowed it down & there was not ONE critical LOOK IN HER EYES.. I saw PASSION 4 GOD, & her song given by HIM..i guess that everything is interpredted differently by everyone..your statement is PROOF..of such..Dottie was the BEST..because God breathed that SERMON OF MUSIC..into her Spirit through HIS..
There will never be another Dottie Rambo. She was glorious!!
The greatest gospel song writer ever. What a contribution to gospel music and what a loss to the world.
I miss the old timers like Dotti Rambo. They were filled with the Holy Ghost. The Lord be praised forever and ever. ✝️

It's a blessing. What a masterful talent. We shall never forget this woman and what she has and still means to the world of Gospel Music.
Dottie is beholding our Saviuor and Lord right now.
She is asleep awaiting.
In the ground, awaiting to behold Him like all others who passed before and after her.
The dead in Christ are resting in the grave, awaiting the sound of the trumpet of His coming. The sleeping shall rise from their slumbering place.
She is not in heaven right now. Her breath went back to God, her body is in the grave.
I remember when they would visit my church. Word of Faith in New Orleans
Nobody can write them like Dottie! 2500+ songs written and still going strong!
We will miss you Dottie! I'm sure you are in awe as you now BEHOLD him! Thank you for all the songs of encouragement!
