Very much appreciate your well used Giulia Super - as it's clearly still providing a sterling service.
In my youth, Alfa coupes and spiders were all the rage, whilst Alfa sedans were very much 'unloved' and normally used as a source of replacement parts for the sportier models.
It's no longer the case, as both Giulia and Berlinas, are keenly sought after with prices to match. I certainly regret the 'disposal' of my Berlina 2000 Auto.

I must admit I don’t have an issue in the Super being used as you are, but i must admit I am in the not leaving it looking like it is camp. The stripe down the side doesn’t do anything for the car, and as for the louvred in the bonnet, what was the person thinking.
I too have a red Giulia, and while mine was originally a 1300 Ti, a PO turned it largely into a Giulia Super, with the early grill, all the correct stainless steel trims and a 1600. Giulia’s are sure cool. I used to daily my ‘69 1750 GTV for about 10 years, had a lot of fun with that car.

This Super used to be raced in Western Australia and has had a hard life. I was lucky to come across it languishing in a friend's shed and managed yo save it.
I agree restoration over rat rod any day, but for now she lives as she is, and she gets tons of positive comments..just great to see these cars put smiles on people's faces.
      Thanks for sharing your story.

I get it now, as I was just watching the first video of when you got it. 👍😁. i have actually owned 3 Giulia’s over the years, my correct one came over from Adelaide some years ago. My 2nd Giulia was a complete rusted out car but is now virtually completely rebuilt by my brother and us being turned into a track/classic rally car. I also used to own a 2L Berlina which I also ran as a daily driver for many years. All good fun. One day I will get my Giulia on the road but for the time being it sits under covers in my lockup garage, along with my ‘69 Fiat AC 124 sport that I have owned for the past 44 years !! Some years ago I made a video of my Giulia and put it on my youtube channel (under my name). It’s basically a very sound car with some usual rust, but does require a full suspension rebuild (i have most of the parts needed from Alfaholics), etc etc. Need time, money and space to work on it.

Giulias are great little cars. But I cannot agree with the preservation crowd, if it needs work, make it perfect. If it is a perfectly preserved car, then different story. We all want our Supers to look great, don't we.

Agree - I'm not a fan of Alfa 'rat rods'.
