A_listers bands/entertainers have made manila a key leg of their tours from coldplay to kpop groups, sell out crowds one after another are not uncommon despite the pricey tickets and the perceived high cost of living, makes me wonder if this a sign of a rising middle class or a culture of dipping into luxuries without the ability to sustain it
We Filipinos just love music so much so that despite the financial challenges in the country, concerts by international artists are almost always sold out.
This is purely out of love and passion for music and you don’t need to think about it so deeply because if you yourself haven’t experienced it, you can never find the answer. You just feel it, no “luxuries that can’t be sustained” or “rising middle class” thing. It’s because they love it, that’s why they go for it. Again, you will never understand it from a subjective view if you see things objectively and that you think there’s a statistical reason behind everything.
