@@Gia-j1e Yes that’s true. I kind of was directing the comment to everyone though, because everyone’s hair isn’t strong and resilient; fragile hair can melt away under the slightest pressure. That’s why some people have to keep their locs at a certain length, because as the loc grows longer they get heavier and the weight can pull the loc out from the root or cause breakage at the root, so advise is never for everyone, and people need to understand that.

You dont experience extra dryness after the Dr. Bronners and the ACV rinse together? I've tried them both separately but I've noticed the locs don't maintain moisture without a retwist with oil...
I always make sure to go back an add any needed moisture back into my locs before styling. The hot oil treatment and aloe did the trick✨ and of course you’d maintain that moisture throughout the time of having the style. I hope this helped hunny💕
Im very mindful of when I retwist, and when I allow my hair to breathe. I make sure not to over twist. And use product that are light on my hair ☺️🫶 I hope this helps hunny. Gunna b going a bit more into detail in my Q&A - be sure to leave and questions for the Q&A on my community posts☺️💕
My roots don't separate easily AT ALL and are even harder to separate after washing. I've yet to see anyone need to detangle like I do. I often need scissors. :/

Careful with brushing the roots, breakage can happen at the roots.

You may have to do a LIGHT retwist every time you wash your hair until it knows where to go.
