I can’t accept when some shades of the same formula perform completely differently (like some being good and others blending like trash). To me that means the brand should have workshopped the formula more and then come out with a fully functional complete range :/

Yes exactly! I try to avoid things that got viral until I’ve seen tons of reviews. But videos about whether the hype was worth it or not is so helpful
New equipment takes a learning curve! Take your time and can't wait to see upcoming videos with it applied!
I've been mixing my liquid blushes with liquid highlighters and it looks gorgeous! I don't think I need to get the Tarte or Charlotte Tilbury now. And I have wayyy more color options now
The Tarte Maneater Blush in Buff is perfection. It looks like nothing in the bottle and at first I thought it would not even show up. But wow it did. And beautifully. Thank you for recommending it.
Especially considering that it is a silicone-based foundation, the Charlotte Tilbury one really emphasized my skin texture and lines, to the point that I looked a lot worse when wearing it. Maybe the TikTok audience does not have those issues and does better with it though.
Same here. Over 40. I looked dreadful. I can only imagine it looking nice on someone in their 20's with no blemishes or texture.

Unfortunately Chanel reformulated their best-selling makeup product, which was the Soleil Tan de Chanel, a few years ago and I still don’t understand why. I haven’t seen very many people love the new formula and say it’s absolutely nothing like the original, which was smooth and effortless. I remember Mel Thompson mentioning that the Tarte Sea Breezy bronzer was the closest thing in her opinion to the original Chanel formula. If you haven’t tried that out, you might want to give it a go! I personally have tried it and whilst I do love the formula, I do find the color to be a touch warm. Anyways, love this video and thank you for revisiting overhyped products!

I adore Peachgasm and thought that I would equally love Pinkgasm, but I was wrong. I'm a very pale yellow olive skintone and Pinkgasm pulls almost purple on me 😑 I gave it to my sister, who's a cool pink skintone, and it looks gorgeous on her!
Amanda, I am humbly requesting a video where you show how you apply your eyeshadow. A few different types. Powder, such as the Dior. Some powder-cream hybrids that you might have. And a cream shadow. I always like the way your shadows look. Today’s look, for example.

chanel soleil tan de chanel (new name: les beiges creme ensoleillee) was a good cream bronzer when it was the only one in the market. there are so much better performing and more fool-proof ones now.
I gotta be honest regarding the Nars foundation: Similar to when the long lasting Radiant came out I was initially on Cloud 9. Cut to: warm to hot weather annnnnnnd?

They both break up, and non-specific to weather ( esp considering one of them has long-wearing in the name) these DONT LAST. I have dry to normal skin. We all know there are a number of ways a foundation can wear out, and w Nars- IMO, it’s the worst way! Patchy, gathering etc…
Also I de-cluttered foundations recently and I was vicious, but in doing so I made room to test a couple I’ve been eyeing.
I wasn’t pleased come to think of it with many new foundations this past spring/summer. I’ll try the reformulated Dior Glow bc I did enjoy the original.
Anyway let me stop b4 I go on forever… my old workhorses are still my favs: Shiseido Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting, the Estée Lauder Futurist, the Em Cosmetics cushion, ( actually 3 cushion brands) and finally La Mer I enjoy
The CT beautiful skin didn’t do it for me either; it’s was just meh. And I really want to try the makeup by Mario bronzer stick!
Girl same...I have tried Chanel bronzer in two shades, wanting to love but it isn't good. Especially compared to all the other wonderful cream bronzers out there.

I feel that excitement vs. just complacency thing when it comes to glowy vs. matte foundations on general. I wear a matte when I need it to last longer, but it never looks as good or fresh or healthy as dewy or satin

Ive been disappointed everytime I used/bought something by Charlotte Tilbury. I have the film star bronze and glow, the oyster pearl shadow and pillow talk eyeshadow quad. They’re fine but for the price I wanted to be wooed and I wasn’t. I almost bought the foundation but went with the Shiseido instead and boy am I glad I did 😅

Please try other colors of the Laura Mercier blush! I really, really think you might love it. A few other creators I follow had the same problem with Sundrenched.
I work at Sephora and a coworker had me put on Missing Person (I had never heard of it before) and I couldn’t stand it on me. It really is something that only works on certain people and their chemistry lol

I was swatching my foundations today and fit buying it off the internet the CT beautiful skin is a perfect match in undertone and shade for me. I think the formula is very comparable to a lot that’s already been on the market, but why I love it is because it matches me so well. Even foundations I bought in store don’t match me that well.
I gotta give the Tarte Peachy pink blush a try. Also, I’ve been trying to get a mini of Missing Person for months before committing to a full bottle, I’m a ride or die for Glossier You.
Would you recommend the NARS formula for combo skin?
I so agree with the CT foundation - awful to me way too yellow and quite impossible to find your shade in any of the base products mine was returned day 2

Morgan Turner didn’t like that Charlotte Tilbury foundation. I understand what you mean with that foundation getting so much hype. Morgan feels that she has to apologize for her opinion on the foundation.
Taylor Wynn, who I trust as a TH-cam foundation expert also was sort of Meh on it. I think sometimes people, subconsciously maybe, jump on the bus of the majority opinion.

Good question! Honeysuckle has a little bit more brown or blackened cherry to it and l’avenue is a touch more plummy purple

I actually really like the Laura mericer blushes 🤷♀️ I have sundrenched too, but I usually just put it on the back of my hand first and then use a brush… works for me, but I totally get that everyone’s preferences and skin are different!
