When I was in my early 20’s and suffering from depression I found it very hard to keep working a full time job. I would press on for months then quit. It wasn’t the jobs. Depression is exhausting. Quitting was like lifting a release valve to let some of the internal pressure out. It was either that or do something to myself. Then, after a little while, the change in routine allowed me to press on and pick up another job and try to redirect my life, as you are doing. That’s why I am so proud of you. You just walk away from a job, from time to time, when you have to, not give up on life itself. Then you rest, reset the valve, and figure out a way to move forward. 🙂❤️
@Not Me lol fair enough and i don't get why people say "ive never claimed a penny in my life" lol... it does not matter if you did... politicions live of tax pyaer money which you pay into it... may as well get it if you can lol.

With regards to the grey hair and applying for work .... I have had grey hair since my 20s ... 30s and I went to a recruitment agency for an interview with an employer a few years ago. As I sat down the interviewer said .... oh ... you've got grey hair! From that moment I may as well have walked out. It stands for experience ..... idiots. Good luck with all you do. Keep smiling.

You're well on the way to 3k subs, what an achievement! I'm a violinist and I travel from gig to gig in my self built campervan, teaching where I can and throughout the summer I work the festivals. During lockdown I had little work- just a few recording gigs. The fact that you're formulating a plan is positive! I feel as though I've got a bit of a split personality - very extroverted when I'm out there playing in pubs/ music venues and with my students, and introverted when I shut my van door and leave the world to spin. As a single older lady people expect me to be lonely but I'm not, I thoroughly enjoy my alone time.
Dear Ava, you too sound like a wonderful lady and are truly blessed to be able to play the violin and to teach is sharing the most beautiful of sounds. I wish you well.
Moving south sounds like a great idea, working on the bank in a NHS hospital would give you satisfaction and extra pay for unsocial hours. Please keep up your videos, you are a lovely lady who inspired us all. Here’s to more subscribers! Good luck with your job search 👌😊
Just a thought but have you considered signing up with an agency to do care - I work for Nurseplus in Chester (speak to Olly he is so friendly) the care industry is so depleted you can pick your shifts, just let them know week by week what dates you want - it works for me as I struggle with my mental health so when I have a bad week I just say I’m not free and pick up again the following week, personally I like to do 3 x 12 hour shifts pw (equivalent of FT ) so I don’t feel like I’m living to work you’d have time to travel at the same time as earning a FT wage - there’s no way I could stand a 9-5 five day a week commitment anymore. You will go to different homes locally if you want local! and if you don’t like one you just don’t go back as there are plenty of others - times are usually 8am - 8pm or 8pm - 8am. Days are hectic with lots of staff but nights are chilled with just a couple of you. Love your channel - what I strong lady you are - total admiration for the way you have overcome every obstacle put in front of you - you are amazing 🙏 ❤️
Thank you so much Sally for giving Alpina such wonderful detailed information on a job lead, one that seems like it would fit her perfectly. She could do the 12 hrs/3 nights a week and have a secure place to park at night. I hope she gets a chance to read your comment if no one else’s. It was so kind of you to reach out to help her. ❤️
Can’t believe your hardships. Heartbreaking.Caught your videos by chance and I hope you realise you’re a natural on video. I can see a great travelling blogger future when you sort your transport out. Do come to Scotland ❤️🏴
The only thing she has ever looked for is EMOTIONAL support through our comments. I have been following her since she had 200 subscribers and was able to reply to every comment within hours. Many of us would love to help her out financially but she is trying admirably to make it on her on merit. Being from the same generation, I understand why and respect her for it even as I stand by with ready assistance.
You are a very brave, strong, determined lady. I hope that by doing these videos you can connect with people who can help get you to where you want to be. Safe travels 🙏💚
Enjoy your authentic vlogs. I agree with someone’s comment that you are a natural. Also please realize it would be a blessing for others to help you. Hope you consider it. Hang in there. Thinking of you.
Hi , i have only just come across your channel and i find you fascinating how you handle your hardship and get on with it. I suffer from depression which means i do not go out much and also PDSD from my time in the army . I wish you well in every thing you do , and if you are ever in Wakefield maybe we will bump into each other ?
I hope things get better for you,I'm on my own also and it's so easy to get depressed, I think your a really sweet lady. Ive just started following you.
Having an expectation that people should follow the rules and be truthful all the time makes it very frustrating and stressful when you find out that this is not the case and people do not have the same moral standards as yourself. In unskilled work those people are somewhat easier to spot, but this still goes on in professional sectors too, just a bit more covert and sophisticated. Maybe try to learn and accept that wherever you work you will encounter “dodgy” people. Just try to not let them affect you emotionally. I know from first hand experience that this is very hard but will eventually help you to accept that there is no universal “moral” norm that all people stick to. Just be true and honest yourself and learn to love yourself. I sincerely hope that things improve for you. Xx🌈
I suffer alot with anxiety and depression too. I've had many a times where I just grt that constant fight or flight feeling so I can relate. Hang in there, you're a strong lady 💪 ❤️
You popped up on my TH-cam as saying something I may be interested in and I’ve subscribed. When people complain about little things annoying them they should watch you for some motivation and inspiration. Sending best wishes from County Durham. Take care 😊
Queen Elizabeth has an opening for a part time maid. I would love to work at the Palace or any of their houses. I am a new subscriber to your YT channel. It's nice to see women close to my age on YT. I will be 60 in a couple of weeks and I want so bad to retire now, but I actually have to wait 2 more years to retire. I'm single as well, been married once, that was enough for me. I live in Montana USA, I wish I lived in Britain, it is so beautiful there and I love the people, and I especially love it's long History. Hope things get better for you soon.
I love your channel. I know how much of a survivor you are, but I wanted to say to you, why not set up a crowd funding website? We are all one humanity and we all need help at times. Life can be so cruel, but I hope you feel through having your subscribers here that you are never alone. Very best wishes to you x
I thought exactly the same. But Patreon is a bit like begging. I don't see this lady as the begging type. I would love to help her out though, is there any way to contact her other than the youtube comments section? 🤔
@@MichaelCook84 Hi Fransisco, I don't think Patreon is seen as begging at all in the TH-cam world - its just a way to make a voluntary contribution to someone so they can continue making the content you love to watch, no different to paying for a streaming service etc. But totally appreciate she may not be comfortable with it.
Aww hope you are feeling better soon. I am sure you will get a decent secure job soon, a Carer sounds like a good job for you, whether it be in a care home or going to peoples houses. Stay safe and warm. Looking forward to your next Vlog.

I am your age (will turn 63 on the 17th of this month) and live in the U.S.A. I just found your channel last night and find myself very moved by your struggles. Please consider contacting some of the people that were your longtime clients when you had your thriving business. Please consider asking for help as I am guessing there people liked you very much and would want to know what is happening to you.
Ive been looking forward to your next video and clicked so fast when this one popped up I hope things work out and in the future you can get back to where you were when you had Lexi. Same path just a little detour xx
It's a random offer, but If you're bored, I have a small motorhome and looking to spend about a week around Snowdonia, I would be on my own, which is okay, but does sometimes get me down, really I need a dog for company, but I live in a flat with no garden and can't guarantee a future of not having to leave dog alone all day which wouldn't be fair.
can i give you some advice ? dont get involved in politics at work you are there for you no one else... let them do what they want to do ...you are there for you
We only discovered you by chance on YT but find you very inspirational have a good feeling for you about the live in carer job you applied for it's interesting to hear about the characters you recently worked with - I do admire you for having the strength to walk out - Ive been in a similar position in the past doing a job I hated for 17 years & feeling trapped due to having a mortgage to pay at the time & in the process ruining my health, good luck !!

I'm from Liverpool originally, love my city and go back to visit friends and family regularly. I suffered with anxiety/depression pretty badly in my teens-30's and struggled to hold down a job (relationships scared the pants off me I felt trapped and would end it). I moved all over the UK but eventually, at 39, I took a long hard look at my life and decided to take a bit of time for me. I worked but in something that didn't require my heart and soul- I took walks and reconnected with friends and was honest with them. My cats too are brilliant company. I'm 45 now, married and I've lived in the Midlands for the last 4 years; I'm retraining in a career that I want to do and working part time in a job I enjoy. I desperately want to have a child as luckily I'm not in menopause (yet) so fingers crossed. Personally, sitting down and being honest with you is the best thing you could do, it's okay to feel depressed and realise that you need to do what makes you happy. 😘
Hi! Just stumbled across your videos and it seems we live near another! I'm on the Wirral, if you ever fancy a coffee, or a walk down West Kirby beach, or a lift to work, I would be thrilled to help you out

Oh Dear… your life is tough 😥 Try to avoid the physical minimum wage jobs, it’s too physically exhausting. Well done you keeping a positive outlook 👍 I struggle with depression and ended up unexpectedly loosing my job, without money and homeless, and had to sleep in my car for over two weeks which I found horrendous. Fortunately I got in touch with landlords who offered supported housing for the unemployed and found myself a really nice houseshare and lived off benefits until I got back on my feet. Just wonder if it’s worth getting on universal credit and free housing or getting your rent paid until you manage to find yourself a stable long term job? Universal credit also offer training and courses which may help you get a better long term job and don’t expect you to look for work whilst your training With your driving experience they would pay for you to get your class 2 licence as there are loads of part time and full time jobs going for drivers In a day and age were most people don’t want to work it’s really encouraging and motivating to see someone in your position who has given up everything to try and get work Best of luck and take care J
Your suggestions sound very concrete & do- able. I really hope she reads your advice. I notice most people here in the comment section are quite sympathetic towards her but not many give useful advice and some other trolls can be rather nasty. Im a viewer from a different country btw - is her homelessness common over there in uk? I saw another video of hers - she claimed that she bought a council flat ( i assumed this was homes built by the government for citizens to purchase) but she was forced to sell since she could not pay the tax on the flat? Not sure if i understood her correctly - seems uk government is crazy if many uk citizens are forced to sell their flats ( thus become homeless) because they cant pay taxes? As i said im not from uk - literally an outsider's perspective here - but i cant help but think she was misinformed & made a bad choice by selling her flat. Maybe you could share your perspective with me? Several people in the comment section ( in her other videos) have mentioned - it was a mistake on her part to sell her council flat because the government could have provided her financial assistance...so i found it confusing that she felt becoming homeless was the best solution.
@@lilyrosesoul0077 - There are benefits the UK government offer unemployed people. And she could get free or very low cost rental housing whilst unemployed and an allowance of around £430/mth which just about puts food on the table.. However the government expects you to look for work or they will stop your benefits. Sounds like she didn’t own the council house and was only renting it. But had to move out because she couldn’t afford the council tax and bills. And the reason she decided to start living in her car. She could get a free Houseshare like me we’re the rent is paid and isn’t any council tax or bills as that’s included in the cost of the rent. And would be enough benefits left to survive and put food on the table. And at least she would have a base and a roof over her head. However to her credit she hasn’t taken the easy option and has chosen to move around the country looking for work and sleep in her car If she gets a long term job and some stability she will be able to rent somewere proper to stay Plus she only has to rough things out until 65 or 67 when she will get her government pension and will be a lot better off financially and can afford somewere to rent Hope this helps 👍👍
@@cagefighter436 o.i.c thanks for the clarification. 😊👍 In one of her videos she mentioned "purchasing" her council flat. So to me that was puzzling if she had bought and owned a flat why pay rent for it ? But if she was only renting as you said , and had to pay taxes, rent etc then i guess it makes things more complicated for her ( although i saw some people advise her that she could appeal to government and the taxes rental etc would be lowered and she would have received some financial aid too & still keep her council flat) anyway whom i am too judge i am not in her shoes. I think this dear lady faced a lot of stress and deppression & maybe it was difficult to make good decisions - i know i am guilty of this myself even now when i feel under pressure. I hope she will ok , God willing. 🙏🙏🙏waiting till pension sounds risky since her situation seems rather shaky now.
I wish I was in the UK - I miss my family who are all passed away now - grandparents / mother etc but I wish had someone like you about . Have you applied for universal credits? It's a horrible draconian system designed to break people, but.. if you can negotiate the system and jump through the hoops, atr least it will be something to fall back on till you are earning enough. You've paid your taxes and NI, so you are entitled to claim the money you are due to, like you would any type of insurance. X

Hi! i happened to come accross one of your videos from 3 months ago and i had to find out how you were doing now, and i subscribed!. First of all i think you are brilliant, honest, and to me extremely relatable. about 13 mins in you speak about how you need a job which is people facing or rather people orientated. I can relate in some way as i was in a role where i was on the phones 5 days a week but because of covid forced to work from home. i spent from march 2019, until october 2021 working out of the bedroom which was a total nightmare. id wake up, see my partner and the kids before they qent to school, and be shut away in that room for 8 hours, to then finish and only be out of the room for about 4 hours before going back in there to go to bed. effectively sleeping in the office lol. id spend so much time talking to so many people i felt so detached from everything workwise and so isolated its hard to describe being that id always be talking to people. it broke me more than once i can tell you. i decided to change the job amd apply for something completely different which was out of my comfort zone, but more importantly inject that routine of being back out there amongst the land of the living. a d i teracting with people again. honestly best thing i did. im in a new role, away from the sometimes toxic calls, dealing with stuff i have never dealt with, and back out using public transport, and in a routine! currently getting over covid so my whole family have been isolating but i think the change of directions has really sone me well. i really do hope you can find your way through all of this madness, and know that iwill be sending my happy thoughts and well wishes to you! you are a shining star, keep burning brightly!🙂🙏
Shame on the government for taking our pensions off of us.xx🐝

Dear Ava, you too sound like a wonderful lady and are truly blessed to be able to play the violin and to teach is sharing the most beautiful of sounds. I wish you well.
im not lonely either you get past that
@@nightsupersteve wow, care to explain? or
Moving south sounds like a great idea, working on the bank in a NHS hospital would give you satisfaction and extra pay for unsocial hours.
@Kevin Young How if she doesn't want help?
The only thing she has ever looked for is EMOTIONAL support through our comments. I have been following her since she had 200 subscribers and was able to reply to every comment within hours. Many of us would love to help her out financially but she is trying admirably to make it on her on merit. Being from the same generation, I understand why and respect her for it even as I stand by with ready assistance.
Such a sweet lady. You need a break big time. Stay strong.
Hi I worked in care for years ,yes its good but rotten pay very hard work and heavy so be careful where you go xxxxBarbara
You have more than 2,5K subs.
Maybe you recorded this a while ago.
Well done 👍
Friend. Your welcome to stay here for free for however long it takes to better. I've suffered with depression myself and i understand. Gx
Hi , i have only just come across your channel and i find you fascinating how you handle your hardship and get on with it. I suffer from depression which means i do not go out much and also PDSD from my time in the army . I wish you well in every thing you do , and if you are ever in Wakefield maybe we will bump into each other ?
@kevin mason THANK YOU for YOUR service Sir
I hope things get better for you,I'm on my own also and it's so easy to get depressed, I think your a really sweet lady. Ive just started following you.
You have got a good plan. I wish you well! Take care xx
Delighted you have 2 thousand subscribes hope you make few Bob on tube stay safe and warm brighter days ahead ❤️🇨🇮
Just discovered your channel and absolutely love it, what an amazing lady you are. I really hope things start going your way. Much love.
Sounds like you have a good plan. Keeping moving forward!
You popped up on my TH-cam as saying something I may be interested in and I’ve subscribed. When people complain about little things annoying them they should watch you for some motivation and inspiration. Sending best wishes from County Durham. Take care 😊
You’re so brave. God bless you.
Your are so courageous, such determination to overcome life's difficulties , good luck with all you want to achieve.
Wow, I gotta wait till 68, and I bet it goes up a few times before I get there
I love your channel. I know how much of a survivor you are, but I wanted to say to you, why not set up a crowd funding website? We are all one humanity and we all need help at times. I’ve been there too and when you find a kind soul/souls it helps. Give it some thought. I would be willing to help you set it up
Have been thinking of you all week since your last video, so glad to see you’ve posted. We are all here rooting for you (over 2.5k now!!) and would love to contribute so you can keep filming your lovely videos and do some of those travelling vlogs! As others have also said, if you felt comfortable with Patreon or an Amazon wish list i know myself and others would love to show our gratitude. Life can be so cruel, but I hope you feel through having your subscribers here that you are never alone. Very best wishes to you x
I agree! I hope she does as I would love to support her. I waste so much money on silly things when it could make this ladies life so much better ❤️
@jackie miles why you said that?
Aww hope you are feeling better soon. I am sure you will get a decent secure job soon, a Carer sounds like a good job for you, whether it be in a care home or going to peoples houses. Stay safe and warm. Looking forward to your next Vlog.
You have a plan...and it sounds like a great one. Have been looking forward to your video all week as I find myself living vicariously through you. Yes it's true.....my life is even more empty of people than yours is. But hey, life just has to go on and thanks to you I am gonna attempt to get myself out there. I only came across your channel recently, but I have to say you are an absolute warrior, you keep having it every day despite your depression and it is inspiring. One day will be the day that everthing changes for the better and I wish for that day to come very soon for you. Take care x
I am your age (will turn 63 on the 17th of this month) and live in the U.S.A. I just found your channel last night and find myself very moved by your struggles. Please consider contacting some of the people that were your longtime clients when you had your thriving business. These are likely to be people that are highly successful and could indeed hire you, provide references, and/or, suggest contacting others that might provide some assistance. As I learn of your difficulty 'being approved' on these apps, I worry for you. Please consider asking for help as I am guessing there people liked you very much and would want to know what is happening to you.
Agreed your advice is good. I hope she reads your comment .

Stay safe and warm. 🧡🇬🇧🧡

You are such an inspiration for me. I'm 66 and left my job at a cancer centre due to burnout and now find I've fallen in a heap. I feel like I've lost my purpose and identity. I really admire you applying for all those jobs and nothing is considered beneath you, you will try anything as long as it is not illegal or immoral. You are truly amazing and so inspirational, I wish the young folk today had even half of your work ethic. Take care 💗

There is a place in Warrington , called green core they are good to work for.

Just found your channel, sorry if you've heard this before but have you not considered a transit van or even a canal boat? Massive respect for taking things into your own hands! 😎👍❤️
we did offer her a free van but she doesnt want it although she did say to keep it on my drive as her situation may change, she has also been offered a free room with free food and another lady offered a rent free room to use as she pleases, we also offered to help set up a go fund me and lots of people have offered to send her money but she has no pay pal
@@thelovitcenter I miss uk but most of all live aboard boating on the canals
just wondering if the priority academy online courses such as life coaching etc might be of help to alpina
The professional membership is about 27 sterling a month and she would then need to sign up to ctaa or iphm whom are better known for accreditation and she would need insurance there's many insurers of holistic therapies and coaching such as honeybee,,bgi group,,ongst others
Oh Dear… your life is tough 😥
Try to avoid the physical minimum wage jobs, it’s too physically exhausting.
Reception or office admin type work is slightly better paid & probably will suit you as it’s light work physically.
Keep up with the job applications, the right job will eventually turn up with perseverance.
Best of luck 🤞 🙏

I suffer with my mental health so can relate and you are inspiring me with your strength and resilience. Wishing you all the best and my fingers are crossed for you with your plan to move South 🤞🙂
Universal credit also offer training and courses which may help you get a better long term job and don’t expect you to look for work whilst your training
With your driving experience they would pay for you to get your class 2 licence as there are loads of part time and full time jobs going for drivers
In a day and age were most people don’t want to work it’s really encouraging and motivating to see someone in your position who has given up everything to try and get work
Best of luck and take care J
However to her credit she hasn’t taken the easy option and has chosen to move around the country looking for work and sleep in her car
If she gets a long term job and some stability she will be able to rent somewere proper to stay
Plus she only has to rough things out until 65 or 67 when she will get her government pension and will be a lot better off financially and can afford somewere to rent
Hope this helps 👍👍

Bless you , you are still a family with your child . So cherish that. Going deaf is very isolating , as though things weren’t bad enough. It won’t always be like this , you have got to keep that upward look and keep on going .
What a rad lady, you are always charging ahead no matter the circumstances, you should be so proud of how far you have come ❤️❤️ Fingers crossed you can get yourself a car or even a little van and live the nomadic lifestyle to the fullest! Rooting for you with everything I’ve got! ☺️
Hi so so glad you are better, your subs have grown too over 2000 now! Wow. Have you got anywhere with the subs rev's? Have you thought about claiming university credit? Another van lifer has to claim this, ( socks with sandles ) and he gets by, it's worth a try, even if it's just enough to pay your rent at the moment. X

I hope your feeling better. My wife and kids and me were ill for 2 weeks. Have you had any further news about your car. I think possibly moving down south sounds good. What about farm work with live in.

@@xvsupremacy7190 I understand. However moneys money.
@@nightowl3829 I much prefer down south, but housing is double if not triple the cost, if your only on minimum wage like me then it's not feasible, I had to move away, £1000+ a month for a one bed flat is just not doable unless your highly skilled

Wow, over 4000 subscribers, well done.
Hi! i happened to come accross one of your videos from 3 months ago and i had to find out how you were doing now, and i subscribed!.
Have you still got your car? If so you could be a courier or takeaway food deliverer, hope you get a job you enjoy soon, take care.
