    Great drive, took also this road 2 times from Italy to Germany. Near Longarone there is the Vajont Dam Lake, where a big tragedy occured in 1963, as a part of the mountain collapsed and caused a big tsunami, that destroyed a few villages in The Piave river valley.     Thank you a lot for the video, in particular because I live in Pieve di Cadore and I drive along this road almost every day. This area is as beautiful as the other of the dolomites but the lack of modern touristic infastructure keep lots of tourist away to Trentino and South Tyrol

      Diciamo che il Veneto è più "arretrato" e questo ci permette di conservare una certa autenticità (sono Veneto anche io). Per non parlare poi del Friuli, che non ha proprio alcun tipo di turismo di massa ed è ancora più selvaggio.

      @@davidetoffoletto9981 più che altro non ci sono mai stati investimenti turistici seri e/o a lungo termine, anche rispettosi dell’ambiente come fatto dai nostri vicini e questo deficit penso che sia assolutamente incolmabile con tutte le conseguenze che porta al Cadore (spopolamento, deindustrializzazione fuga di cervelli, case chiuse, assenza di lavoro), immagine che stona con quella produttiva e turistica del Veneto, la prima regione italiana per turisti. La vicina cortina è un mondo a parte, non legato al Cadore e al resto del bellunese come potrebbe invece sembrare.

      @@anadalet9885 sintesi perfetta, il Veneto dovrebbe puntare su un turismo nella provincia di Belluno almeno ai livelli della provincia di Trento. Ma assolutamente non si devono toccare gli estremismi dell'Alto Adige dove sembra un mondo di montagna finto, creato ad hoc per il turista di città che sale a farsi le foto per Instagram

      @@davidetoffoletto9981 esatto, concordo che bisogna imitare il Trentino e non l’Alto Adige. Tuttavia non tutto l’Alto Adige è così, ci sono Valli molto autentiche ma quelle sono rimaste estranee dal turismo di massa. Il top della “finzione” per turisti è sulle Dolomiti, in particolare nelle valli ladine, soprattutto in Gardena, con hotel che paiono usciti dai film Disney, rifugi che sembrano centri commerciali dove mangi ostriche e gamberi rossi. Lì pare di essere in una porto cervo (posto creato ad arte per eccellenza) sui monti, perfetti per gli influencer ma meno per chi vuole godersi la vera montagna. Un altro esempio da imitare potrebbe essere Sesto o San candido, in Pusteria, luogo di parte delle mie origini, che è riuscito ad evolversi ma senza snaturarsi completamente. Tra l’altro c’è il progetto di congiungere le piste di Padola in comelico con quelle di monte elmo, tra sesto e San candido, chissà se messo in esercizio potrà portare più turisti in inverno, io penso di sì

    Ich liebe die SS51 auf meinen Reisen von Rosenheim nach Caorle seit knapp 50 Jahren. Auch eine Reise von der Piave-Quelle bei Sappada bis Jesolo ist traumhaft. Liebe Grüße aus Oberbayern

      Italian here,i hate those people too,and it is a thing that you see almost every day living here when driving,luckily,not all of us are like that,but they know that either police isn't present or don't give a f...,so they don't care
      I honestly don't know why people here can't drive like the rest of europeans...

      @@EuropeanRoads Zelfde ervaring, ik werd vorige maand ingehaald, wat bijna een frontale aanrijding werd met een tegenligger.. Vervolgens zat 'ie voor mij weer achter een vrachtwagen.. Ze zijn in het verkeer erg ongeduldig, en je schiet er helemaal niets mee op, zeker niet als het gewoon druk is in het verkeer...

      @@justinds6345 als persoon die elke dag over die weg rijdt (ik woon daar), respecteert niemand de verkeersregels, in feite gebeuren er vaak zeer ernstige ongevallen door auto's die inhalen met snelheden van meer dan 140 km/h wanneer de limiet 70 km/h is en overweldig de auto in de tegenovergestelde rijstrook
