It's so simple! I was analyzing the different triad inversions for the bar chord format of A, literally trying to picture the inversions as dissected parts of the whole chord, knowing there was an easier way to "picture" them....but they way you explained.... just had a forehead slapping moment.

Mike, I don't have anything specifically like that about intervals, but what I will say, is that using them has been, for me, the most enduring way to internalize them. When I learned 6ths for example, I wrote two etudes right away to help "cement" them into my fingers, ears and brain. Without exception that method burns them in.
