Nothing is more satisfying than panning one of your favorite beauty products! I love that feeling of truly getting my money’s worth too! It also reminds me how much makeup I actually need because everything lasts so much longer than you expect!
When you were talking about how you finish your friend's food and cut out your unused notebook paper my brain was just like.... oh gosh IT'S ME it's weirdly satisfying to know someone else does the same as well!!! YAAAY so happy to see you starting a project pan!! I love the mindset of using and not wasting instead of buying constantly that's been the norm in the beauty community in the past (I'm guilty cries) I think since a lot of stuff is almost finished a 1 month update is good! Especially since you're new to it I think the best thing is being able to take things out or change your goals!!
HAHAHA I LOVE THAT!! and of course when it comes to eyeshadow palettes and collections i do purchase it for my channel tor review but besides that i find myself not purchasing alot! also yes one month seems like the next video!
Yay! I am so !! I have been doing project panning on my channel since I started it in 2018 and it is the most fun thing to do! I know you're gonna love this 😊some of my top tips are to remember to re-apply things like powder and lipstick throughout the and to be consistent in using your products. Even if you want to use other items try layering them or for example with eyeshadow, use at least one of your project pan items and switch up the rest, if that makes sense 😊 Also, monthly updates would be amazing!
Good luck!!! I recently got pan on a blush, and I was floored. It got me addicted to using that blush for the "completionist" in me lol. I look forward to your update 😊
When I pan foundations, I like to put them into an airless pump so I can see exactly where I’m at. I’ve just recently gotten really into panning and tracking it on my channel; it is so much fun! So happy to watch your progress with a project Pan!
Yes!!! I love project panning videos. Here’s a tip: if you’re unsure of how much product is in a container, you can use a flashlight from behind the product and usually you can see a clear line of where the product sits! If the packaging is too opaque still, you can always weigh those items between updates to see how much you’ve used up! Hope this helps. I’m looking forward these sorts of videos!
I’m so excited for this project pan series! I think monthly updates would be good. It will also be interesting how makeup preferences in your project pan change month to month and season to season! Also, your outfit is so adorable!! 😍
i always find project pan interesting because i save up for makeup so i usually try to stretch it out as much as possible HAHAH (i love colourpop but its so hard to get here so i cherish my colourpop holy grails) but i have been trying to use more of my palettes and actually dent them so that i know i didn't waste money on it. but hopefully you can pan these products! i hit pan recently on my on the loose highlighter and i felt so happy and so sad HAHAH but i might consider doing a project pan on some blushes. thanks for the inspo judy!
i completely understand!! i think project panning really depends, for someone that has a big collection i think its wise to do this to finish as much makeup as i can but if i had a small collection i would be the same!! happy to hit pan but sad cause i need to buy another one LOL
Just found your channel through Kelly Gooch and Excited to binge these videos! I'm also currently trying to use up the ABH powder duo and i just hit pan this morning!
Yay!! I’ve been panning for almost 3 years 😳 and now it’s pretty much just a lifestyle. I think monthly updates is good. My tip is to take breaks when you feel you need them to prevent burnout, and don’t force yourself to pan something you hate!
I’m on the same route as you when it comes to panning on products cause I am currently on a journey on finishing my ABH:Modern Renaissance palette that was one of my first eyeshadows to buy so you got this!!
I totally feel you about trying to get my money's worth fully out of products!! I'm usually the one trying to finish everyone's food at the table too 😂 I love watching project pan content and Kelly!! So happy to see you starting this as well ❣️
I've heard about project pan maybe once or twice. It sounds like a really cool concept! I am def going to check out the videos you mentioned. Do you think you could measure how much you used by measuring your products at the beginning and subtracting the end weight to see how much you used?
Glad you’re starting to pan project! I watch Andrea Matillano’s videos all the time and they’re just so comforting idk why 😅 Monthly or every other month would be nice imo 🤔 Also, how cute do you look with that beret!! The monochromatic vibe is just 👏🏼
The easiest way to measure foundation and concealer is to take a q-tip along the inside and the product will quickly gather back to the side when you hit the top of where the product is
I love project pans!!! They are sooo satisfying. And like you , I’m super conscious with the things I have. I’m always trying to finish every thing and reuse things until I can’t anymore lol. ❤️
I hit pan on the between the sheets blush super fast! It might have been because I used my fingers to apply the product rather than a brush, so it was easier to push around the product in the pan and pick up more than I would with a brush. Maybe that will help in your panning process if you aren't applying with your fingers already :)
I used to have very sparse brows too, I started brushing my brows through every night before bed with the oil in the little vitamin e capsules last year, now my brows are quite full and when I wear makeup I just brush them through with a brow gel and I barely need to used a brow pencil / powder, it seriously saves me so much time when doing my makeup.
ooo i might have to start doing that! idk if they will work on me cause my brows are also very thin + i naturally dont have hair on my body! but ill give it a go!!
@@j.uuuuudy It'll work eventually, just be careful not to put any on where you don't want any hair to grow, it's pretty annoying having to pluck them every once in a while
Ahh im so excited to follow you along this journey! I personally love project pan videos and panning my own products. There’s nothing more satisfying :) I’ve hit pan on a lot of my things but haven’t successfully used anything up aside from concealers and setting sprays 😅 it’s always a treat seeing you in videos! Please continue to update us on your progress :) I would love to see videos like “what’s easiest and hardest for me to hit pan on” type videos once you’re further along! Love you judyyy 🤍 Edit: also one tip!! The way that I’ve made so much progress on my blushes (I’ve hit pan on most of them bc im an addict) is by using them for multiple purposes :) using bronzers and blushes and bronzers as eyeshadows helps a lot!
ooooo yes those video idea sounds fun! maybe i can mention it in my next update since i sorta already have a feel for which products are easier! also thank you!! i will keep that in mind and apply!!
Welcome to the panning community! I really enjoy watching Kat/kitschnitch, Hailey/justbuythemakeup, Christina Chang and Steph Lyons (and many others haha), if you wanted some recs! Youre mostly panning already! Interested to see your progress! I love seeing finished products and pans❤
This is such a good idea! And if needed, maybe you can even re-home some products like lipsticks and lip balms once you reach the end. I didn’t realize I was already doing project pan because I don’t have a lot of makeup and I try to use it up before I buy new ones as replacements xD Oh and, maybe you can do weekly progress pictures to show us where you’re at, then post a monthly or every other month video on your progress. Judy you’re honestly my role model and I never thought about that towards influencers until I found your channel. I love every single one of your videos and listening to you just makes my day
Good luck on your project pan. I'm doing the Pan those eyeshadows project where you randomly generate eyeshadows and try to hit pan. I'm also doing another rolling project pan with other products but I'm a bit stuck with that. Though I'm super close to finishing a foundation and hitting pan on some eyeshadows.
Nothing more satisfying than completely finishing a product ^_^ Just wondering what your recs for the dear dahlia dupes are? I love the effect it gives but its so pricey!
The timing of the zooming moments you have in the video is spot on and hilarious! especially when you said new to the *community* lol! but really though, such an inspiring concept!
Also huge tip for project panning those things that are hard to see the progress. USE A WEIGHT SCALE! It helped me sooo much to keep track of things like concealer of foundations.
Something that might help you track your progress is a kitchen scale. Your could weigh the products if you cant see though the packaging. Just a thought
I think updates every 3 months would be good :) It definitely takes time to use up product and it's much more satisfying when you see how much progress you've made over larger chunks of time
I was going to project plan this year, but then the pandemic happened so I haven't worn makeup as much as I would normally and so I just kind of... am playing around with my makeup more than usual vs purposely trying to pan anything. That said, I do still go through things like my lip balm and brow products per usual since those are the products that I stick to one thing until it's gone right now. OMG and my eye primer BUT lol eye primer takes a loooooooong time to use up. I can't tell how far into my Urban Decay primer potion since it's not the squeezy tubes anymore (RIP those were the best!) but I would say I'm probably maybe a quarter of the way through even though I use it frequently.
for me its actually been the opposite! since im home more often and film SO much more im wearing more makeup!! so its a good time for me to do this hahah, but omg i didnt know ud changed their packaging! i havent really kept up with them!
@@j.uuuuudy That makes a lot of sense! It's a good time for filming right now and doing makeup for IG etc. For me, I haven't worn an ounce of concealer or foundation since the shutdown between not wearing makeup for majority of the shutdown and then the flaws I use foundation and concealer for are covered by my mask, so there's no need to bust out that part of my makeup. Since I've been wearing makeup again, I haven't stuck to one eye palette, one highlighter, etc. because I've been playing around with my collection. I could wear more bold and colorful eye shadow at work because I wear glasses and it tones it down, but now with masks, I can go even more bold and colorful so I've been having fun with my eye shadow vs sticking with a few favs and that sort of thing. OMG yeah. Urban Decay changed the packaging on their primer potion a while ago so now it's a tube that you can't see into in any way with a dofa applicator vs a squeezy tube. They do bring the old packaging back from time to time for their original formula usually around the holidays, but I don't care for that one unless I'm just doing eyeliner that day because it has an odd finish and I don't like the way eye shadow sits on it 😂 I mainly use one of their pigmented primers to make my eye shadow pop. I love their white primer for this reason because there isn't an eye shadow that doesn't go POW on top of it, but it's only available through their website for some reason vs through different companies that sell their products. SORRY FOR THE WALL OF TEXT THAT IS MY REPLY LOL.
Like you, I don’t have too much face products. My splurge is on eyeshadow palettes, blushes and lip products 🤦🏻♀️😅 Every month I try to use up one of my eyeshadow palettes but since this lock down due to corona virus I’ve been using so little makeup. We’re returning to our regular life (with some big restrictions) this month. What I try to always do is to use up as much as I can my most old products ☺️
OMG yes! Project pans are my favourite videos to watch, and now one of my favourite TH-camrs is making videos on them 🎉🎉🎉. And monthly updates are the best! It's so satisfying to watch the progress being made. Any thoughts on potentially doing makeup inventory videos too? I found that project panning for me meant I was a lot more conscious of how much makeup I have, since it takes me sooooo long to use up certain products 😂
I love watching Too Much Tash, another youtuber for project panning. She also does give indept details roughly how many times she uses a blush etc with diff formula and all before she hit pan and i would love to see how it varies for you too 🤗
It really is so satisfying to pan a product. It also helps me to keep mindful when I'm eyeing another product I most likely, probably, definitely do not need to buy hahah
I'd say maybe do an update between seasons. That's like 3 or 4 updates a year and what it might usually take to dent a product. The monochromatic look is *chef's kiss* ! This look makes me feel like I'm 🎶~shinning through the city with a little funk and soul~ 🎶
Thank you so much for the sweet words! I’m so excited to follow along with your new project pan!!!

I'd say maybe do an update between seasons. That's like 3 or 4 updates a year and what it might usually take to dent a product. The monochromatic look is *chef's kiss* ! This look makes me feel like I'm 🎶~shinning through the city with a little funk and soul~ 🎶
thank you!! ❤️
Cute outfit. Great advocacy . 😊😊
❤️❤️
I love this project pan idea! You inspired me to start this with my favorite products too ☺️👍🏻
yay!! lets do this together!!
JUDY 😍👍🏻
Omgg ur makeup is soo cuteee....the blush makes the whole look so adorable!!!!!
I really love the products u chose!! And have u tried glossier??!
noo i havent :( unsure if they ship internationally or not!
Yeah they dont ship Internationally but if u do have relatives in the us , canada , sweden, uk etc , u do have chances to get ur hands on em!!
Just don't forget to enjoy the project. Don't stress too much on panning your items. The point of panning is to just use the products that you have.
yes i will do my best! if i need a break i will take it!
That burgundy look is everything
thank you ❤️
