//Marcus
Håkan nice presentation, I like it when tiers explain the logic behind a certain way they tie a particular pattern and how they like to rig that fly so it swims nicely . I have been tying some of these patterns ( similar) for the past couple of years on shanks with trailers . Hooks and tubes and using them on trout Spey set ups with both Scandi and Skagit lines for trout , char , salmon in Alaska , Montana and Idaho and they work great . Would like to see more of your stuff. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Håkan as a new fly fisherman I appreciate this video very much that you get an insight into your flies experience it means a lot to me, can i still buy flies from you?.
"As you can see - i have a lot of flies but today... it feels like i have nothing to fish with because i have tried a lot of them and nothing works." 😂Amen to that and cheers for a very entertaining clip!
Hi Guy! Templedog is a style of hair wing tube flies originally developed by our own Håkan Norling. Phatagorva is a pattern. // Best regards/ The Guideline team
I made a quick phonecall to Håkan and the original Temple Dog from autumn 1985 was a fly in gold, orange, brown and black, and according to Håkan this pattern several year later was named Pathagorva. So in short - Håkans Original Temple Dog in that color scheme is what later became the Pathagorva pattern. // Best regards/ The Guideline team
Great film! Fantastic fisherman, lots of knowledge and history shared here!!!
I had the pleasure of meeting Hakan a few a years ago, a great fly tyer and a true gentleman.... So funny when you get to know him.
Wow. Visionary fisherman and also a very nice man. Inspirational!
Glad you enjoyed it! // Henrik GL

What a great video clip and Hakan appears to be a genuinely passionate fly fisherman.

Fantastisk. hundrevis av fluer og ingen virker.. Godt å se at jeg ikke er alene🙂
Fantastisk fortælling….
I wish to see the red temple dog to be tied by the legend himself. great pattern! or at least a better picture 😀
if you like to see that search for it - don't complain that this video, which did not feature the man tying anything, did not cater to you!!
Isnt that Frödins Phatagorva , he Said he was first, around -84 😅
Pathagorva is the same as the templedog ?? Look alike very much
