I don't see Hartenstein going to be the backup in a new system for only 3 million more a year.... If someone gets up to 22+ million maybe he starts considering it but I think he really loves the situation in NY.
If he chases the money then it’s next man up as usual. This past season showed me we have some dogs and with playing time, they can be solid contributors. IHart will learn how important playing in the right system is if he leaves.

If the NY Knicks really want Hartenstein, they should pay Hartenstein 20 million dollars per year on a 4 year contract. At least Hartenstein won't be moving around and security in the big market.

Do you think players / front offices understand that if they poach Knicks players, they’re poking the CAA bear? To a degree, I think they do and that will help keep OG and iHart in NY - that’s what I tell myself at least.

You started out by saying that the Thunder are looking at one of the top 3 centers in the Eastern Conference. Don’t get me wrong, I love IH, but top 3? He’s not that!
The combination of Robinson/Hartenstein works for the Knicks. I’m not sure that was Hartenstein does will automatically transfer to another team. A different team with different personnel and a different system may not necessarily result in Hartenstein being as effective as he was for the Knicks. The Villanova effect is a real thing!

Yea. If you give him a starting role (30+ minutes). He will average 13-10 on good efficiency and playing really good defense. That’s basically all nba teams want out of centers now.
