That's the closest I've ever been to crying because I thought the Chiefs would never win a playoff game in my lifetime, let alone a superbowl. I think we Chiefs fans deserve to see this success.
Amen to that brother. I only had my heart ripped out one playoff Disaster after another about 8 times before we won 1, that was with Alex Smith winning 30-0 against the Texans. These last 5-6 years don't even feel real sometimes.
Those were some rough years, we had two extra tickets. From our seasons tickets for some of those years and literally couldn't give them away at the stadium.

So this was mainly aimed at them bc I witnessed Elway and Manning own our division for years, beat us in the playoffs and win 3 SBs. If the NFL changes the touchback rule on fumbles through the end zone or into the end zone recovered by the other team, it will be the stupidest decision in the history of decisions. It would be like a son or daughter taking out your new car and wrecking it and saying, “That’s ok, no problem.” Completely irresponsible behavior being rewarded. The current touchback rule is one of the best rules in the sport. Safeties are awesome too.

The Ravens kept looking like they were going to mount a comeback, but it was all based on refs missing all of their O-line holding our defensive players to give Lamar time and/or space to escape and or make a throw. They were exposed by the Chiefs, a team that has now become used to beating both the other team and the refereeing that is generally tilted against them. As a Chiefs fan, I'm relishing in this moment, and last year's moments, and the 4 other years prior to that. It's what every NFL fan dreams of: your team forming a true dynasty! We wont be great forever, and when our greatness ends I'll enjoy watching other teams like the Detroit Lions win a super bowl have amazing historical seasons. I suffered for 30 years as a Chiefs fan. I thought hell would freeze over before I’d ever see the Chiefs in a Super Bowl. Cowboys fans would rub my nose in the fact that the Chiefs hadn’t won a Super Bowl since 1970 (the year I was born). Going to enjoy this while it lasts.
And yet, no one is talking about Chris Jones getting tripped when Lamar was in his own endzone. Or penalty on Smith when Rice scored. It's not like the refs had it out for the Ravens. There were blown calls impacting both teams.
I like to think that those calls on Smith were to make up for all of them uncalled penalties on him throughout the season. Anyway, he was infamous for doing that in the Bucs.

He's a mauler and uses his hands well, did the ole move you are supposed to do when a screen is going to the opposite side. The less discussed one is the tripping of Chris Jones in the end zone. By rule, that is a safety and Baltimore would then have to kick off to KC. Huge momentum-swing non-call.

The fumble did not go out of bounds in the end zone. It was recovered. The Chiefs were on the wrong end of the touchback rule last week when Hardman fumbled it at the goal line and then it went out of bounds.

I think one of the hardest parts about this season is realizing that I can't even think of a team that's the Chiefs' kryptonite. At least with New England's dynasty they had Baltimore, Denver, and the Giants give them problems consistently. The only team I can think of for KC is Cincy but they beat Cincy last year.
Mahomes career is still young. Brady gave him some playoff troubles both times they faced. Beyond that and Joe Burrow beating him once… it looks grim for the rest of the AFC.

The Ravens kept looking like they were going to mount a comeback, but it was all based on refs missing all of their O-line holding our defensive players to give Lamar time and/or space to escape and or make a throw. It's not that the Raiders didn't show up. They (and their refs) were SHOWN up. They were exposed by the Chiefs, a team that has now become used to beating both the other team and the refereeing that is generally tilted against them. They've been getting better at that for a while. Except for that KT nonsense. That was just painful
As a Chiefs fan, I'm relishing in this moment, and last year's moments, and the 4 other years prior to that. It's what every NFL fan dreams of: your team forming a true dynasty! We wont be great forever, and when our greatness ends I'll enjoy watching other teams like the Detroit Lions win a super bowl have amazing historical seasons. We were once victims of the AFC West, victims of a Tom Brady led AFC. We know pain. I'm happy to say the grass is very green over here right now.

What the hell is this "Kelce played bad all season" he literally had a game where he went for like 15 catches for 172 yds this season! I grew up a Bronco fan, moved to Kansas in 93 and became a Chiefs fan. I tiled the new Broncos stadium and placed many Go Chiefs! under Pat Bowlen's entryway tile into his suite and under seating. Although immature, it makes me laugh when I watch your anti Chief videos. Upon completion I smoked a joint in Pat's (rip) box, it was late and I heard the security guard walking down, I said oh shit, then was told the guard is who they got the weed from. I grew up listening to people talk about how bad the chiefs were and that we was never going anywhere to now and everyone is starting to hate us. Love it or not like it or not you got to deal with these chiefs. The AFC should be embarrassed chiefs have the off season and STILL MADE IT.
I suffered for 30 years as a Chiefs fan. I thought hell would freeze over before I’d ever see the Chiefs in a Super Bowl. Cowboys fans would rub my nose in the fact that the Chiefs hadn’t won a Super Bowl since 1970 (the year I was born). Going to enjoy this while it lasts.

And yet, no one is talking about Chris Jones getting tripped when Lamar was in his own endzone. Or penalty on Smith when Rice scored. It's not like the refs had it out for the Ravens. There were blown calls impacting both teams.
I like to think that those calls on Smith were to make up for all of them uncalled penalties on him throughout the season.

The less discussed one is the tripping of Chris Jones in the end zone. By rule, that is a safety and Baltimore would then have to kick off to KC. Huge momentum-swing non-call.

From 94 until 2015 I watched the Chiefs lose numerous playoff games. I watched John Elway and Manning beat us, win the division, win the conference and the Super Bowl. I think one of the hardest parts about this season is realizing that I can't even think of a team that's the Chiefs' kryptonite. At least with New England's dynasty they had Baltimore, Denver, and the Giants give them problems consistently. The only team I can think of for KC is Cincy but they beat Cincy last year.

I went to my first Chiefs game in 1963, Municipal Stadium. A shared stadium with the KC Athletics. Some of these comments with all the head coaches sure brings back memories and nightmares. I'm glad I get to finally see some success in my elderly years. Sorry Perna.
