+Василий Берсенев Sorry to jump on your comment. People make hero's out of celebrities. Yes Diana was a fantastic woman but "such people" are born every day and do amazing things, they just don't get the media attention because they are simple people who just do it as a part of life. It is always the celebrities that get the, "such people." What about the Indian woman who feeds 30 homeless children from here meager income, not the royal income, but gets no news footage on CNN. She isn't one of those people who are born in a hundred years?
Thomas Lindsay Disagree. It is not enough to feed the homeless children. Sing songs and the like. You still need to have exceptional qualities and Diana they had
doc martin I've always been open to the idea but I've never seen any hard evidence. The thought of it though, makes me cringe. I have watched a few documentaries and some seriously shady shit played out for sure, including other possible suicides/murders. Sad
Princess Diana was (Is) still loved by many. She was a Lady, Princess Mother, and a Humanitarian, One in Millions. She chose to raise her children with so much love that she needed and her accomplishments were proved by her boys. I remembered watching her marriage and sadly watched her funeral. People all over the World welcomed her and the World wept along with the English people. Princess Diana will never be forgotten and will forevermore be remembered as The English Rose, The People's Princess, a Mother, and a Friend. I looked up to her. RIP.

+Julie Wortham Me too and all who were with me. Might I add that some of the people watching, including my husband, were big tough footballers who had played a game that day but we all came together to watch this - and all were deeply moved - believe me, they were MOVED that day and they will acknowledge it as well!

i m an american. i found a Life mag with Diana on the cover. published shortly after the wedding. so she must have been about 20. i paid 3,00 am dollars for it. then sold it on Amazon for 300.00 but it did not feel morally right to keep the money, so i donated it to St Judes hosp for Children. Not only did i feel better but in a small way I felt that i was thanking Great Britian for Michael Ball. I just discovered him. Terry Browning San Fran
On September 6, 1997, an estimated 2.5 billion people around the globe tune in to television broadcasts of the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales, who died at the age of 36 in a car crash in Paris the week before. I think this figure displays the amount of people who truly loved and adored Princess Diana. X
Princes or not, no child should have to bury their mother. I remember being very young and my mom had some books and magazines with this beautiful woman on the covers. After learning about her, I really mourned for her death and looked up to the things she had done. She was a wonderful woman.
+Brianna Gordy I've known too many small children who have gone through the same. I feel truly sorry for them, as I'm told the "void" is life-long. We were truly Blessed as our parents lived to enjoy Most of their grandchildren. Nothing takes the place of a true mother's Unconditional Love.
i can tell you, from personal experience, the void is deep and life long indeed. my mom has been dead for nearly 27 years now and it still hurts, maybe even more now than it did when she died. now that i'm olderi REALLY realize the depth of her loss and how it's affected my life, having so many question about many things and not being able to ask her, etc. it sucks to say the very least.
@Nenethegreat W i'll tell you that it's not easy at all to live with. you can and do go on but there's nothing easy about it. it's definitely been the hardest thing i've dealt with in life. i've found myself telling people also that they are lucky to still have a mom. maybe it's wrong but i find myself envious when i see women my age with their elderly mothers and i missed out on that, my mom dying when she was only 51 yrs old. luckily i have had the support of family and great friends to see me through over the years.

I remember being nine years old and just crying watching this on TV. I wasn’t even from London but I loved her and always wanted to be like her. Now that I’m older and have researched her life, how heartbreaking.
As Bruce Lee said ‘the key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering’. Diana F. Spencer will live forever. She was unforgettable. I remember that night so vividly: I was in high school, supposed to be asleep but was watching tv when I saw the news ribbon at the bottom of the screen saying that Princess Diana was in a crash but was expected to survive... then suddenly the news went from reporting a broken arm to full cardiac arrest and she was gone. Just like that. I went into my parents room, woke them up to tell them that the Princess was dead. They didn’t believe me. Nobody wanted it to be true. Such a massive loss for the world.
What a terrible, terrible never ending nightmare that day must have been for William and Harry. Not only they carry their own pain, sorrow, disbelief and shock, as walking behind their mother´s coffin they feel also other people´s sorrow, pity and compassion on their young shoulders while cameras are filming, documenting every emotion they feel.
I don't know how those boys did it. Still amazing they were able to hold it together on that long walk while having to hear people constantly wailing, weeping and screaming their mother's name from the crowds lining the streets.
@@pbhoulden8212 charles forced them to walk behind her coffin because he thought that was stop people from booing at him. i dont think they wanted to do it
@S Robin its has been documented, i am not entirely sure where but i've heard it many time. both prince philip and charles forced the boys to do this, since the public at the time did not like charles and knew he mistreated diana. prince harry himself has said walking behind her coffin was the both traumatizing thing and he shouldnt have had to do it.

I still couldn’t get over that it happened a day after 1940 celebrated its 82nd birthday last year; what a heartbreaking year it was for me, my 2009 Woody, my sister, Mummy and Woody.EXE. Then the 4 of them almost lost me 5 months later so it was a heartbreaking start to Woody.EXE’s reign when he almost gave up the throne. Hopefully 2024 will be a healthy year for all 5 of us as me and Woody.EXE mark our first jubilee hopefully without trama

At 5:13:24 in this video-that's when I absolutely lost it & started to really cry while watching Princess Diana's Funeral live as it happened. I think it was at that moment that it really hit me that she was gone. Diana's entire funeral was amazing, but it was the very ending, when "Song for Athene" starts to play, that was, to me, the most emotional part of the entire Funeral. Whoever chose "Song For Athene" to be the song playing/performed as Diana was being led out of Westminster Abbey was an absolute visionary. Watching this again on the eve of the 18th Anniversary of Princess Diana's death, I have to wonder this-Do any of you think it's remotely possible that any human being, past or living, will ever be honored with a funeral like this one ever again? RIP Diana, Princess of Wales. You are still so missed & will never be forgotten.
+Karen Catizone i think there will be other grand funerals, the queen's, for example, but the emotion displayed for diana, i don't know that we will ever see the likes of that again. she was just very special in a way that others, especially in that family, are not. the only people i can see the public mourning in the same way would be her two sons but i pray that they have MANY years ahead of them.
+Karen Catizone I think Ayrton Senna funeral was probably a similar funeral if not bigger but Princess Diana was just a unique person, too sad they way she left this earth
Diana is sadly missed in a world that has deteriorated significantly since her death, with so many wars and people suffering. She was a shining light who will never be forgotten. RIP Diana
I was there that day I and my partner and all the thousands of people there where all genuinely greaving Diana was a beautiful person inside and out we miss her so much and there will never be a funeral like that again all the people there loved that lady Diana is a star and A very unique person it will be twenty three years August 31st 2020 and I will be placing my roses 🌹 at the gates of Kensington Palace like I’ve done since 1997 god bless Diana ❤️
What breaks my heart the most is watching such young men William and Harry, especially Harry, walking behind their mother's coffin. We all felt very sad of Diana's death but this kids, learned it the hard way. I mean, they must have felt an enormous pain in their hearts. I look Harry, and he was so young, poor baby. He looked shocked and he was really brave
They were forced merely for the monarchy to be liked again, as they were hated for not responding to her death. They used the boys to gain popularity back. They should have been sheltered to cry for their mother, not a public display to keep monarchy and money for them sickening and sad. Hurt harry mentally, he needed a shoulder to cry on, someone to hold him being only 12. Maybe William also, he was older, had a different personality. I am sure it hurt him also, but hurt Harry for life.

1:25:57 - You will see a little smile from Prince William here when his grandfather Prince Philip spoke to him. It was only because Prince Philip said he would walk with him, did Prince William agree to walk behind the cortege. Prince Philip had a great effect on William, and you can sense that grandfatherly love here, as he tries to cheer William up. I don't know what he said, but you can see a little smile raised from William, just for a second or two.

Diana was the most beloved unselfish woman/princess, what a great sadness to lose her not for the media who so wrongly took her for granted - but for her family, the two princes. Now it's a great pleasure to watch the duke and dutchess of Cambrigde and their children; George and CHarlotte. The next generation. Both father and son - future kings of England
I think she was murdered. She had said that someone was planning on killing her. She was a threat to the royal family. Everyone loved Princess Diana. It was her they wanted to see not Charles. He should have never married her, he didn't deserve this beautiful woman. Camilla is a bow wow
Such a sad end to such a beautiful loving and caring woman. It's a shame that while she loved Charles he loved someone else. Unrequited love is difficult to live with. Diana deserved love and now she is in the arms of the Lord and watching her children from above. RIP Diana you are missed.
@Nenethegreat W She didn't have the kind of love she wanted. She wanted to belong to someone for a lifetime and not just for her looks or money. She never felt wanted and she said that over and over. Like she once said billions of people could tell her they loved her but would one of them stay. A person can feel lonely in a crowded room. Sad she didnt know Prince Charles didnt love her. Her in laws didnt love her. She just wanted someone to wrap their arms around her and touch her.
A whole country weeps as they witness their beloved princess being carried to her final resting place. I imagine the rest of the world was just as sad as I was to hear of Princess Diana's passing.

Round applause 👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 for Diana’s brother Earl Spencer’s speech. That was the only useful thing happened on that day. Royals should’ve treat the most beautiful Diana as a royal when she was alive not after her death . You will be ever in our hearts.
first of all, Charles had NOTHING to do behind her coffin as they were divorced. He clearly didn’t care about her, so why the heck was he walking there? It’s so disrespectful to Diana. And also, think of how hard it must have been for the two princes to walk behind her like that, with so many watching in both real life and on tv. It’s just a cruel thing to do to a 12 and 15 years old. I think this funeral was way too royal and public than what Diana would have wished... If it’s one thing the british monarchy have done wrong, it’s how they treated Diana, the Princess of Wales both when she was alive and when she died... They should be embarrassed!!
@@hazelgordon9968 it wasn’t Charles idea it was Prince Phillip’s. Prince Phillips walked behind his sister coffin when he was young, if you watch the crown it shows Prince Charles as a child in nazi occupied Germany

Eternal memory. Such people are born once in a hundred years.

RIP.

At least I can cry privately
@Nenethegreat W i'll tell you that it's not easy at all to live with. you can and do go on but there's nothing easy about it. it's definitely been the hardest thing i've dealt with in life. i've found myself telling people also that they are lucky to still have a mom. maybe it's wrong but i find myself envious when i see women my age with their elderly mothers and i missed out on that, my mom dying when she was only 51 yrs old. luckily i have had the support of family and great friends to see me through over the years.

yes, her brother said in HIS words what princess Diana was. An angel
Yep Charles donut
As Bruce Lee said ‘the key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering’. Diana F. Spencer will live forever. She was unforgettable.
I remember that night so vividly:
I was in high school, supposed to be asleep but was watching tv when I saw the news ribbon at the bottom of the screen saying that Princess Diana was in a crash but was expected to survive... then suddenly the news went from reporting a broken arm to full cardiac arrest and she was gone. Just like that. I went into my parents room, woke them up to tell them that the Princess was dead. They didn’t believe me. Nobody wanted it to be true. Such a massive loss for the world.
There was no one more beautiful inside and out. I will cry forever.
I have the royal families feelings because my cousin was killed in a truck accident
No child should have to endure that pain.

And not to mention his 13th birthdate was approaching. That poor baby. So happy that he and meagan found each other
I totally agree, no kids should be forced to follow the coffins of their moms or dads. Watching this was truly heart-breaking
