Dynon have great products, but their service leaves much to be desired, in our experience. We've had an AOG situation for about a month, waiting for repairs, replacements, and now waiting for a replacement for the replacement that didn't work! We're still AOG! Oh...and forget service while they're all at Oshkosh! Nobody home right now at Dynon! There seems to be something systemically wrong with their service. Meanwhile, we sit on the ground waiting for them to return from Oshkosh. Good grief!
What’s wrong with a physical knob to set the altimeter? This seems way harder than necessary, especially in turbulence. Or is it automatically slaved to the altimeter on the main hdx, in which case it probably doesn’t really matter, since I guess few people will get this as a stand alone
I assume it is coupled. If not… the fuck lol. In any case tho, have to say I do love a good knob. It’s a different cockpit vibe… but physical buttons are always the more usable option IMO.
To my old eyes, the older one looked easier to read. Just because you can now generate graduated colors and thinner lines, doesn’t mean that you should.
I’m never a fan of the exorbitant costs and Aviation but I was just about this pay the same price for the D10 with my new system so for that I’m happy that a new product does it cost tons more.
WTF, it's we experimental guys that help to get you your certified instruments. Now you kick us to the curb to fulfill certified orders, which you can charge more for. I'm in the process of planning my panel, and you guys are off my list.
This stuff isn't easy to do especially certified. I am trying to recreate one of these for the fun of it (not for actual use in any aircraft) and even filtering the IMU alone is a pain.

For that price, why doesn't it have heading?
$219... For a battery.
I imagine that price includes some certification costs?
