Honestly I love both for different reasons. I journal in both but my midori is usually used more as a common place book or long form journaling not so much adding a ton of ephemera. Hobonichi has more space available for me so it ends up being more of a memory keeper with pictures and memories of the entire family.
@tortagialla I’ve taken the stance that if I want lots of ephemera added without carrying around a chunk monster 😉 then I use those thin Hobonichi Cousin “memo pads” because they’re stitched binding, so they aren’t gonna fall apart, and they have 48 pages, so they hold plenty for whatever season of life I’m working with - whether it’s traveling, summer fun, or not much happening at all. Option 2, the memo pads can just be used as an undated planner on their own so I don’t worry about unused pages. Option 3, they can be used as an addendum to my dated planner, where I just note in my dated planner that there’s memory keeping in my memo pad…then I bind them together for archiving...sorta like having a Traveler’s Notebook. I love that the memo pads come in all the sizes, but this year I got the Fireside Chat notebooks with 80 pages because I really love a B6 size for documenting my fountain pen and ink combos. Anyway, those are some of my crazy combos, but just know I’m impressed with your chunk! 😂💕🙌🏾
Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it! I never though to rebind a bunch of notebooks afterwards... interesting! Another idea to keep things easier to use as I go... I do love the hobonichi binding as the notebooks hold up so well!
@@fatboycarnivore8649 I have not but is that the one with timeline down the middle? I have to check it out I really don’t have use for timelines in memory keeping and would just cover it up. Thanks for your comment and suggestion though!
People who don’t clear their notifs scare me 😢 I don’t care if I’ve even opened it, I’m clearing the notification! I have them turned off for most things. Especially the RED NUMBERS??? Absolutely not.
Are you team hobonichi or midori? Or both? Dated or undated notebooks for you?
I've just got both and then I saw this video😂
@@DL-idk LOL - you can be on both teams then! What will you use each for?

@@alignedplans I definitely think there is a place for both! Very different style and feeling for each book!
I’m a hobonichi girl but will use an md1d1p in a6 next year 🎉

Oops. It took me to the next video on my playlist before I hit send on that I think 😅 That doesn’t belong here!
I was wondering the whole time what was that huge chunk of efemera on the midori one 😅
@@sayuriakirayuu7944 lol I have printed out some school stuff from my kids and wondering how else I should include it 😅
