- Life after the military doesn't have to center around complaining about the VA. I've learned to love this new trade skill as a tree worker. Home every night with my family and free workouts :) The simple life is good and rewarding! Thanks for watching - God bless

Thanks for watching guys! Check out this video also of my good friend and fellow vet, Jimmy, cutting down his first tree: th-cam.com/video/XxmBSyGbLJA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WiUQAfe6AeVvSxB_
I subbed . 2/506 infantry battle. ❤
The sky is blue cause God loves the Infantry 🪓
I worked with a retired Ranger and got me started in tree work. Learned a lot, He moved on but now I dress up all camo and tactical looking and people always ask me if Im in the military lol
@@marcofemto9417 that’s awesome you learned a lot from him! Tree work is a great trade skill to know
Weee!
😂 just a big kid having fun
God bless you also! RLTW!
Rangers rescue the seals when they get lost. 😂
haha most of them are pretty cool. Some bad apples but such is life
@@SidonianTree where u from. I'm in northwest Florida
@@Cholton222 Kansas City, MO. Have you ever climbed a palm tree? 🌴 always thought that would be interesting
@@SidonianTree yes I have. Hate palms. Lol. There nasty. I've seen snakes in them. Lol
@@Cholton222 haha I retract my comment then
surprised they didn't have you do more pruning while you were up there.
I offered but they wanted “absolute bare minimum to make it safe.” I was pretty tired at that point in the day so I just said okay 🥵 😂
@@SidonianTree something that might help on stamina is when you rope walk up try not to pull yourself up with your arms. Keep them right in front of your face just to keep you upright. That was something I use to do that would burn out my biceps before I even got started working.
@@seanshaffer2271 I appreciate the tip! I try to muscle myself up there over being efficient with the ascenders. Something I will definitely be more mindful of! I did just pick up a hand ascender as well so maybe that will add some efficiency. I’d like to get a GRCS and just ride that thing up each time 😂
Are you up for a road trip job?
I love road trips but I have 4 kids :) Too many nights away in the Army so keeping it as local as I can. haha
@@SidonianTree We are a Gold star family. Out of 6 kids we had 3 in the Military. I was a 12B back in the day. Now I'm 100% with VA. Enjoy being a civilian and have fun with your family! If you have any contacts around St. Louis please let me know. Thanks!
@@JJE2010MO thank you for your service and sacrifice. I am sincerely grateful! 🙏🏼
I don’t know anyone in tree care in St. Louis but I will keep that in mind!
@@SidonianTree thank you!

I'm a retired Canadian paratrooper. Trained with the Rangers at Benning in 1975. After I left the forces , I graduated from the forest Ranger School in 1985. 39 years later, I'm still doing tree work. I'm 67 and just finished another rigging/climbing course.
@@Frontireadventures man that is awesome! Served with several Canadian soldiers both in garrison and deployed, always first-class. Going on 4yrs in tree work and continue to love it. Every day is a different problem set. We used to go fishing every summer north of Winnipeg 🇨🇦 climb on!
@ProjectFollowOn I'm going to subscribe and follow on. Lead the way Ranger. Be safe and have fun.

You make me tired bro ! Please buy a hand ascender ok ? Be safe !
I’ve thought about it many times 😂 I definitely need one. You may have just inspired me to make it happen! Thanks for watching
@@SidonianTree as far as climbing gear goes there really cheep , I think I paid 30 bucks for mine !
@@randyshaffersr.785 I just ordered one! Appreciate the advice! Sometimes I just try to muscle through but I want to be more efficient
