i don`´t know anything about studies, but thanks to Jeff Galloway i run/walk since the mid 80th, and i will keep doing that hopefully for a few more years.....in my personal bookkeeping i treat a walking kilometer the same way as a running kilometer. Both have there purpose and for my total running they are equaly valuable
Both are valuable. My video I reference in this video covered more run walk.
I think walking is not used in many ways by all levels of runners. I hope you keep on walking for years to come.
Hi Lee, just come across your channel. Really impressed with your content and delivery. I'm in my mid-60s and nine months ago recommenced running after a hiatus of about a quarter of a century! I've found that alternate days of walking and running have helped me improve my stamina without getting bored, stale or injured. Fortunately, I live near some moderately steep hills and include in my weekly schedule a walk uphill/jog downhill session. This has contributed to a marked improvement in leg strength.
Sounds to me a very measured and logical way to build load. Glad you have enjoyed the channel.
