ya know I think there could be a practical application in a vehicular envirenment, you could have a large filter in the vehicle with a few nato 40mm hookups on it that would provide a longer filter life with lower breathing resistance
That's a very long gas mask hose. I could see this being used in a tank . The crew member would have a box down on the vehicle's floor and the hose would go all the way up to the mask.
I could see some practical use perhaps if your in a contaminated room and for some reason all you have is a gp4 with 6 hoses and no filter you could run the hoses into a room thats not contaminated
@@nerfinator03 is you put a little P3 filter in it(watch the video) it would be the full exposue but would really try either way+it definetly has asbestos in it, i have a ScHMS and got the instructions with it, it says it has around 5% asbestos in it
A couple years ago I actually attached 4 NATO hoses and a Soviet hose to a C3 as well as a gp5 and om14 to use as a snorkel (the pool water actually dry rotted my c3s inhale valve) but with all the masks, the pressure made it impossible to breathe in once my head went under 2 feet of water so it kinda worked but it had its limitations
The only practical application I can think of is if you had an air supply system that was too big to carry on your person (like if you had an industrial air tank outside of a quarantine zone you're in). Interesting though, I figured the air resistance would be too much.
I vaguely remember hearing about an issue with breathing through a very long hose. It was years ago, and I don't remember where I heard it, but it makes sense to me. What I heard is that when the hose is that long you're not actually getting much new air in, and you're just breathing the air in the hose. Some new air may come in, so maybe you won't die from it, but I can imagine wearing that for a longer period of time would leave you feeling quite out of breath.
Maybe not practical but effective. Especially dealing with acetone or other chemicals. There's some things commercial respirators don't stop well and when they do they're super expensive Good job
not started the video yet, but you should able to breath without "issues" with long hoses. the USSR had some external breathing boxes with hoses over 30 meters long. so they could drop the hose outside of a building or room were is fresh air.
I think you got me wrong there. Im not looking for a fetish hose, but I saw one on 300cm gasmask hose on ebay. www.ebay.com/itm/GAS-MASK-TUBE-HOSE-300CM-120-INCH-PVC-FOR-LATEXMASK-FETISH-LEATHER-COSPLAY-LATEX/222885332111?hash=item33e50
Well, if you tried to use this monstrosity as a giant snorkel it wouldn't work, more so the design of the masks themselves, less lower you go underwater the more pressure you have, and the little pocket of air inside the mask would shrink because of that, making the mask stick uncomfortably to your face, also, your own lungs would shrink, eventually making you unable to suck air from the top of the water. That's why scuba mask only protect the eyes and are Made out of very hard plastic, but still a good video, keep going
Weaponsandstuff93 a few meters yes, but at that depth, I think you could still just free dive it, from the video the hoses themselves don't look to be longer then 2-2.5 meters (I don't actually know the length, guessing from perspective) and from what I know most people can free dive this kind of depth with a bit of exercise, but hey, you gave me an idea for next summer, I have an old scuba mask that doesn't work anymore, and with a few water resistant hoses... Well see how that goes
Me and my cousins jerry-rigged a diving hose a few years back, and after about two meters it's impossible to overcome the pressure on your chest with muscle strength alone. Using a manual air pump we got down to about four meters. I should upload the vid.
Credit goes to SkunkyFerret for the video idea.
Who would win? One Chemical weapon vs a long hose boi

Well most tanks have NBC protection built in, so a bit useless.
Weaponsandstuff93 well I'm thinking of pre nbc protection
That would have been a cool idea for the first world war.

This is an elephant.
I wish it made a trunk noise.
IS-2 your profile is perfect.
Do you mean "ślon"?
Now try putting filters between the hoses so it would go mask-hose-filter-hose-filter-hose and so on
Sadly I only have one Soviet filter that can do that.
That won't work without a specific filter
i know

Depends really how big the filter is and how long the hose gets.
Well I did need a way to breathe longer with a gas mask, so thank you for this information.
Now put the ultimate soviet filter to this
I think I'd probably suffocate.

That is true if it's just a hose, but with a gas mask there is an outlet valve as well, so you don't actually breathe out of the hose
Polish industry used something like this but with injectors. The end of a 25m hose was in clean area but the user was in contaminated area.
What a nice vacuum filter you have
Never really thought about this but It's a cool idea!

If you got a mask that fit, could you go scuba diving by using the hose as a big snorkel?
That's probably what The air systems in the metro game series look like
Could you make a snorkel for swimming with the hoses
Yes
Can I put that hoses on a gas mask with filter STANAG 40 mm?
I have CF-4 filter and I dont know if that filter has asbestos or chromium.
Only the Chinese hose will attach with NATO filters. As for the CF4/MS4 filters no idea if they're safe or not.
Now you can be safe whilst being impractical at the same time , perfect
I suppose you could stick the hose out of a window.
@@Weaponsandstuff93 Polish industry was using it this way lol
This looks so very cool in my opinion , nice video
Thanks.
This was awesome, i bet that smelled like the inside of a supply depot haha

hey could you make a video on parafin/petroleum lanterns ? greetings from germany.

not a bad idea tho. stay cheeki breeki
If I get one I'll do a video on it.
i recommend an feuerhand 276 i have it and its great
Do you know if you can buy any hoses without a mask attatched?
Yes look at amazon
my question is could you not use it as a a fire evacuation device? and or the nato filter will not connect to the standard hose?
Look at all those hose
my question to you is if you have that many hoses and it goes near the groudn could you not use it as fire evacuation tool with out the filter than?
That's a very Non-effective Hose.
Correct

Might sound dumb. But I kinda wanna see you do it under water and or come to a conclusion about weather it's possible
Put this on in a zoo and go to the elephants
Gp-4 yes??
make it more cursed by attaching a GOST to NATO adapter, and then attaching a NATO to bayonet adapter before adding a bayonet filter
Can you make a video on how to properly refill a TF-1 gas mask filter?
I did and it doesn't work.
Okay👍

Already talked about that on a Q&A video.

This isn't GP-5

Could you connect a hose on the bottom of a filter and attach another filter? Can you try it?
No sadly that only works on a couple of filters that have a screw thread at the bottom.

i saw a guy with a gas mask on when i was going back home after bowls
Where it was?
A very very long hose
Yes
my polish hose is also leaking
Don't use it then I guess.
Where can I buy p3 particulate filter paper?
3M sell them from hardware stores, amazon, ebay etc.
Weaponsandstuff93 wood it work with older mask??? 40s?
Does the gp 4 hose have asbestos
No, no it doesn't, unless asbestos leaks through a filter into the hose it doesn't have any in it.
What is the use of an hose ?
I did a video on it
yeah I've seen it now ! great videos btw
Can someone link me to a gp5 cosplay mask with a non-toxic filters please
You'll need to get a GP-5 first and then get a safe filter later, FP-5 filters fit it and are safe.
Weaponsandstuff93 thank you love your channel as well
Cheers
Are there any safe coffee can filters?
Chinese coffee can filters maybe.
And they had about 40 seconds to get a gas mask on. 🖐🏻
