I still dislike that woman. She was all good with the marriage as long as everything was going great but once things got bad she wanted to abandon everything. A terrible woman to get into a relationship with. As she apparently will only stick around as long as everything is good but dum you when stuff goes bad. My wife even hated her because of this attitude of hers.
I went to Zocalo a lot as a college student. And yes... the $3 margs were always a big factor. They knew they were right off Drexel's campus and it worked for a while.
Wow, Mary was a horror show. Glad everyone seems to be doing well after and Greg finding his new love, Maria looks like a sweet gal. Hope Greg opens a new restaurant one day if that's his dream, seems like he was pressured into buying Zocalo when he wasn't ready. It's one thing being a good Chef, it's another being able to management other sides of the business.
Remember when wedding vows are exchanged: "to be your loving and faithful husband/wife in plenty and in want, in joy and in sorrow," Mary doesn't want any of the sorrow part. I'm glad Greg moved on, he deserves a better life. Thanks for the updates! Regards from Malaysia.
i have worked in many restaurants and can tell you there is always a controlling narcississtic yet loser character in every successful bar and restaurant most of the times even the regulars know it
it seems like Mary didn’t really love Greg as a partner but only as a provider. She came off as a utilitarian. I’m happy Greg is thriving, he deserves it.
I have seen a couple like this in our town, they had a small shop, the husband had to do everything from the kitchen to the table everything and the wife just sat back in the counter and never helped even move a spoon. Sad story for a restaurant. Happy ending for most people involved. Im so glad that those two divorced. I could hardly imagine a marriage more unhappy. The absolute least she could have done was keep making tortillas, and yet she watched him work 19 hours a day and blammed him for not doing enough. This is a much happier ending to their story than what was on the show.
Mary is definitely a special kind of horrible. She's always stuck out in my mind for her terrible attitude and how poorly she treated her husband. It was clear from the show that she didn't really love him. No one who truly loves you would put you through that. She came off a truly vile person, and all we can hope for is that she grew as person since then. But I'm not holding ny breath.

Greg got screwed over, Mary went from late 90s JC Penny Chique to Motorbike Mommie. Oh well Maria is lovely and younger and better looking, glad Greg got with her and ended up happy.
I ate there before the remodel, and before gordon. the food was good. The daughter with red hair was the bartender. I was surprised they didnt have a college happy hour. I loved the fundido even if gordon didnt, maybe the cheese "broke" that time. They needed a cheaper selection and drink specials but they did a massive refurnishing. Greg was cool, hed come out.after last call for a beer and chat with whomever.
She was lazy, put nothing really into the restaurant except complain, and just didn't seem like she really didn't want to be there, glad the chef found love again though
Mary needs a Jon Taffer attitude adjustment. If Taffer would have seen a non-functioning stove and oven, he would have thrown the white flag and began to unleash hell on Greg.
I'm so happy Greg found love w/ the new Maria! I wonder if the old Maria called her a 'cochina' or slob, partly bc she was threatened by her presence, if there was any closeness there? Who knows, maybe not at all, or maybe--either way Greg seemed like such a good guy, and this episode broke my heart, the way tears streamed down his face as he cried silently for his family. So glad he found a better partner!
