    I taught for three years for palfish-always level 5, ranked top 5 at one stage with over 9000 lessons under my belt…what happened? Had Covid and had to cancel classes for three days … messaged admin. But guess what! One morning woke up on my phone vibrating..one notification after another…they cancelled my over 120 booked lessons…kicked me out of the official course..and fined me for the cancelled classes (the ones they cancelled) literally stealing my hard earned money…and they banned from messaging my student who were like my kids…so I can’t even say goodbye to these kids who we have a really genuine friendship with 😢)…. It’s a money hungry unethical firm…they are truly evil. They don’t care about kids nor teachers …one new teacher got fined because a kid parent had complained about the song..they didn’t like the song so they fine the teacher…hey that’s taking the “customer always right” to whole new level….three years of hard work and absolute dedication gone in a flash…to save money for the company by giving my students to newer low paid teachers and to keep my money…this is not an educational institution…it’s a filthy money hungry Moral-less tech company..stay away from it…

    Hey Casandra, thanks for sharing! I too just made a video about my experience with PalFish and my decision to leave! 😎

    I was really lucky last spring and ended up full time with regular students. I was open and honest with them from the beginning that once I started teaching back at school again in the fall, I could only do weekends. As I got closer to that time, I started messaging the parents and the head teachers about it. I ended up getting harassed by the head teachers and they were scheduling me even with my schedule closed. I ended up having to quit cold-turkey at the end of the month after I got paid and had a zero balance because there was no other way out. I felt bad leaving my students high and dry, but I felt like it was a cult and there was no other way to leave. I now teach ESL classes on outschool where I am in 100% control of my schedule, and I absolutely love it. I don’t make as much money, but that’s OK because I have a very busy schedule right now.

    It’s not hard to get bookings. Those who are good teachers and listen to what the mentors of palfish say ALWAYS do well

      How do you get full bookings? Just post three moments each day, three book readings each day in the Reader App (I still need to figure out how to do that) and open up all peak slots? Is that right for gaining bookings? On Palfish I have 65 teaching hours, 4.78 rating, 213 followers. Thank you so much for your answer, I know I should be asking my referral for advice but he just said to post moments...

      There's so many of us who do everything from planning our lessons before class, moments reading, punctuality
      But still less bookings

    The policy is basically the same as other ESL companies. I am working at this ESL company, and I am telling you, Palfish is considerate. A Pro-teacher. I like their point system. In my company a simple complaint from a student can get your agreement cancelled and subject for termination 😊

    Hi Casandra, thanks for posting this video. I have just signed up for Palfish and I have my interview next Tuesday. I was just wondering if there are any materials that you download for the interview mock class? It doesn't specify. Do I need to create a lesson myself? Thank you!

    • @casandrahope
      @casandrahope  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, you don’t need to download anything :) the lesson is there and I believe it should tell you which lesson you’ll be doing and you can have props ready for the class :)
