AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi's "keep slaughtering" remarks have attracted sharp criticism from the BJP. The AIMIM chief, while campaigning in Hyderabad, visited a beef shop had said, "Rehan beef shop Zindabad... keep slaughtering,". Following the incident, the BJP condemned his statement. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that she was not surprised with the statements of Owaisi. Notably, the voting for 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana will take place on May 13. In Hyderabad, BJP has fielded Kompella Madhavi Latha against Owaisi.
