This movie supposed to be adaptation of slam dunk story, jay chou character supposed to be the red hair gangster, hanamichi sakuragi. Unlike the original manga and anime version where he was angry because he got left by a girl who chose basketball player, and beat people who said the word 'basketball', jay chou version as the clueless guy who think good things about the girls who reject him.
A twist on the Slam Dunk story! Jay Chou's take adds a whole new layer of basketball romance. Love it!
