The fact that they fixed it at a Louis Vuitton store is all the authentication you need, They would never repair a fake bag, they send it back when they discover it isn’t real. Trust me, I’ve been duped before- got sold a fake bag, took it in, the LV repair dept. sent it back with a statement that they only repair items made by Louis Vuitton.

I also bought this bag pre loved for only $150.00 but the entire lining was destroyed. I took it to the NYC LV store and they shipped it to refurbish it for about $117.00 a few years ago.
It looks brand new now and I love it.
I can most likely resell it for 800.00 now ...

Great catch - I agree!! I have seen preloved pouches being sold for this bag & they were not exactly as this one. I think mine is a bit larger (?) nevertheless I was thrilled to get it! 💗

My mom also has a Bucket Bag GM, and it's her favorite bag.
She gave me a vintage Keepall 45 from 1983, the date code is VI 831, the year I was born. The canvas is in perfect condition, but the vachetta was not that good, so I took the bag to the LV store in Boca, and they sent it to repair. It took like 3 months, but it was worth the wait. The bag right now is just perfect and shiny, with a brand new vachetta. The best thing is, they still kept the date code, which I was concerned they could update the date. And i'll be able to patina the leather myself. I just love the LV repair service.

I have a petite bucket bag and like you I repaired the top trim..however when I got it back I didn’t like how it didn’t match the rest of the vachetta..I sent it back and they changed the rest and now it looks like a brand new bag and it’s been in the dust bag since then. It’s something I will keep forever

I have that same bag that’s in great condition and I purchased from Fashionable a long time ago. The bag didn’t come with the pouch and at first I didn’t care because I own the mini pochette in all 3 prints and I own the pochette accessoire but I decided to get the pouch because the in monogram and Damier Azur but prices keep going up and I know the pouch will be a good investment plus it’s a piece of the bag that’s missing. I’m glad I order the pouch I will said it’s one of the cheapest SLG I have gotten in a while . I love watching your videos they are very informative.

@@jaymeetran2318 you have to email the the [e-mail] with pictures of the bag or take your bag into a store and after they check your bag to make sure it’s authentic they will place the other for the replacement piece. They know the number and everything.

Hi Marcia, it is just as hot where I am 😂 I got away with it because my husband loves to keep the house at 70 degrees and this is a very, very light sweater, not truly a sweater. I'm wishfully thinking fall will come. The lining had been replaced by LV prior to my purchasing the bag and yes, it is a wipeable interior, not fabric.

I have this bag too! I purchased it pre-loved, like you, and the lining had already been replaced by LV. I just ordered the pouch as a replacement part. I am so excited! Thanks for showing the pouch comparisons. Does your phone fit in it? They have quoted me $240 for the pouch. I can't wait!

Also, it looks like the pouch has been updated from the original version. This looks like a much nicer version, wider with a flat bottom. I'm planning to buy a short gold chain, like the one on the mini, and a long vachetta to wear crossbody. They have some fantastic inexpensive options on Amazon. If you take requests, i would love to see a review and what fits in the pouch. LV has said i won't receive mine until October 2020.

Obviously the bag is authentic if it’s already been repaired by LV! If they accept the bag, that means it’s authentic! They WILL NOT TOUCH a fake bag!

I have gotten the bags Authenticated. However is this correct that I need to have a purchase receipt ?

From what I've heard it varies by location. I also think if you are an established customer it may be simpler- that being said I don't know.

It was some time ago but I think it was around $100, however the prices for vachetta replacement & repair in general have increased so I don't know how much it would be now.

@@50plusluxurystyle That is what I'm wondering... I purchased a preloved speedy 40 from 1994 and it is in AWESOME condition for it to be so old. I want to replace the vachetta since the pull tab finally came off but I am worried that not having a receipt will be an issue. I recently purchased a neverfull gm and am hoping they will oblige the replacement since I have a darn near $2000 purchase. With your experience... do you have any suggestions for how to approach this? I've heard some say they've received their replacement with no issues or hassles so I'm pretty hopeful but would like your input... please and thank you!

@@familia_brain5504 Hopefully you have been working with 1 SA at the store, I would go in with the bag, see the same SA and just tell him/ her, "I have a vintage bag and would like the vachetta replaced." I wouldn't say anything else regarding the bag. They generally will give you an approximate cost and tell you how long the repair will take. They may or may not have to speak to someone else regarding cost/ timing but hopefully that should be it. Let me know how it goes. Good luck.

Hello, I don't know if you're still looking for this info. When i purchased my bucket GM the previous owner included the repair receipt. When LV replaced the lining they also replace the top trim. In 2018 it was $150 plus tax. They also replace the leather around the pockets and added a new chain. Just like new.
