Hi Mr. Jim Thank you so much for the detailed and great explanation and display, I have one Question, can we program PLC to increase and decrease the motor spead, in the same Control Panel which you make. and do we have to add extra button, or we can use same Bottons, I saw now in our factory they use Control Panel include VFD to increase the speed, ( Control Panel without PLC) Thanks a lot and I look for your advice.
Good question. Speed control via a PLC would necessitate a PLC with "analog" input and/or output. Analog differs from digital in that analog is smoothly variant voltage or current signal inside a given range (ie: 0-10V) whereas digital is fully on or fully off (ie: 0V or full 120VAC). The TECO SG2 PL2 10HRA is digital only. I'll be discussing analog inputs/outputs in the near future.
