They did a switch up with their Japanese releases, they used to save the cutesy stuff for their Korean albums and have more mature sounds(breakthrough, fake and true) for their Japanese releases before M&M came out. Then they switched that up with "Better" which was a shift to the cuter side for a Japanese release. Now we're lined up with a mature sound on both Japanese and Korean releases
